Alright, edited my previous post. But, I feel like it wouldn't be fair for me to have SoulSilver as my completed Johto run right off the bat, so I'll just play through Silver as my Johto game. Knowing me, I'll probably finish the whole Johto half of Silver in a day, anyway :P

Started our journey with Rylan the Mudkip. Although it's a Water type, it eventually becomes part Ground, which is why it was picked, so that it could help with expansion of the land. We got Pokeballs and caught Lucan the Poochyena. Took a while to catch it up with Rylan, but it was was well worth it. Besides, what member of Team Magma doesn't have a Poochyena? We beat some Team Aqua scrub trying to cause mayhem in all the wrong ways. Silly. Then we got Walden the Whismur. Roxanne was pretty easy. Who knew Water could actually come in handy? Rylan even evolved right after the fight! Now to see what adventures await.​

Started with Lindsey the Docile Bulbasaur. Lost to my rival. :( Did all the usual stuff and got the Pokeballs. Caught Anna the Hardy Pidgey and Ashley the Timid Caterpie. Trained them up a bit and I'm still training for Brock. That's all for now.

Ok, I planned out my team for LeafGreen, so hopefully things will be just dandy in the end with the strategy I have set up.

  • Alright, started the game
  • As always, named my trainer Tamika, named after my female persona
  • I don't even remember what I named my rival :P
  • Anyway, went and picked Squirtle as my starter, but it was a male. It's all part of my plan, though, since I had no intent to use my starter in the first place
  • Went and got Oak's Parcel, then brought it back to him
  • Once I got my Poke Balls, I headed out and caught myself a Pidgey
  • I went and named the Pidgey Icywolf, named after my Pidgey from my LeafGreen Wedlocke
  • After that, I headed straight for Viridian Forest and caught Flutter the Caterpie, a bit of a Wiggler refrence from the Mario series...since apparently, Wigglers evolve into Wigglers with wings called Flutter. I don't even know anymore. Nintendo logic.
  • Anyway, I sat in Viridian Forest for a while and decided to train Flutter up to Lv. 10 to evolve her into a Butterfree, and at the same time, Icywolf got a few levels while I was in there
  • Headed over to Route 22 and did the optional rival battle. It's more free experience, so why not?
  • Beat every trainer in Viridian Forest and made my way to Pewter City
  • Beat Brock thanks to the combined efforts of Flutter and Icywolf...and maybe a little bit of poison stalling
  • Ok, now I'm breaking my plan. I was originally planning to box Flutter after the gym, but I just realized there are a lot of Poison types to kill in this game, so I've decided to keep Flutter on my team as my 2nd party member.
  • Beat every trainer on Route 3 and headed into Mt. Moon
  • Caught Fairy Tail the Clefairy in Mt. Moon, and owned every trainer except the guy near the Rare Candy with the Magnemite
  • Reached Cerulean City and did the required rival battle after healing
  • Headed over to Bill's and got the S.S Ticket
  • Completely destroyed Misty. How? Well, Icywolf took down her Staryu with two Gusts, then once Starmie came out, I had Flutter use Sleep Powder and Supersonic on it (Compoundeyes FTW), then had Fairy Tail Mega Punch it a few times, it hit itself twice, and I won without Fairy Tail getting touched.
  • Made my way to Vermillion City and tackled the S.S. Anne, owning every trainer and getting HM01
  • Started training on Route 11, and that's where I ended off for now.

Tis LeafGreen update time

  • Brought the smackdown on every trainer on Route 11
  • Owned Lt. Surge, mostly with the almighty power of Attract and Dig
  • Decided to evolve Fairy Tail after she learned Metronome at Lv. 29, plus, I have two Moon Stones. I won't miss them, mostly because I can't sell them.
  • Went and got HM05 after going through Digglet's Cave
  • Returned to Cerulean and got the bike before heading towards Rock Tunnel
  • Made my way through Rock Tunnel
  • Went and caught Firefox the Vulpix, the next member of the team
  • Trained up Firefox so she could catch up in levels with the rest of the team
  • Made my way to Celadon City and did a bit of shopping, getting a Fire Stone to evolve Firefox when I feel the time is right and another TM28 so Firefox can use Dig like Fairy Tail
  • Completely destroyed Erika with the combined power of Icywolf and Firefox
  • Headed over to Saffron City and got the TM for Psychic for Flutter since Confusion just isn't cutting it anymore
  • Took care of Team Rocket in their hideout in Celadon City
  • Owned my rival in Pokemon Tower
  • Dealt with Team Rocket in Pokemon Tower and got the Poke Flute from Mr. Fuji
  • Went to Saffron and owned all the trainers in the Fighting Dojo to finally evolve Icywolf
  • Speedran Silph Co
  • Evolved Firefox before the rival battle using my Fire Stone
  • Beat my rival...again. Yeah, that's starting to sound pretty boring at this point :P
  • Had to soft reset a few times to get a female Lapras, and I named it Wind Fish. Yup, Link's Awakening refrence
  • Went and beat Giovanni again
  • Went and killed the Snorlax on Route 16
  • Made my way to Fuchsia City
  • Headed into the Safari Zone and got the Gold Teeth and HM03, which is indeed required
  • Gave the warden his teeth back and got HM04, which is the HM I'm going to complain about when Victory Road comes along.
  • Time for more training. Fun...

I've been wanting to do this challenge for a while so now that I have the means to I will. ♥

Casually editing and updating because I like posting my progress okok.

Gender Discrimination - First Update

And so it begins! Was named Tristan as that was the name I was given when my sister was asked what my name should be. Started out my journey by choosing Cyndaquil as my starter and naming him Charles. First thing's first was to visit Mr. Pokemon. During the trek back to the lab I encountered and face a foe named Trevor. Once getting back to the lab, telling them about Trevor, yadda yadda I finally started the real journey. During my trek to Azalea I caught a Hoothoot and named him Daedelus. Defeating the Bellsprout Tower was no sweat. Falkner, on the other hand, was first a pain. But after training and evolving Charles a lucky combination of Hypnosis by Daedelus and his damn Pidgeotto not waking up to Roost while Charles took it out it was a victory! Afterwards I continued my journey to the Union Cave where I then met and caught a Sandshrew and named him Nico. He was even holding a Quick Claw! After Union Cave came Slowpoke Well which I defeated Team Rocket and eventually caught myself a Slowpoke who I named Clovis. Bugsy was a pain with Scyther but with the right set-up he went down, as well as my rival soon after. Trekked through the forest afterwards helping the guy with his Farfetch'd, got a slave to use Cut and now I'm in Goldenrod City trying to gather enough coins for my next team member: a Dratini. Then it'll be more training and eventually the battle with Whitney. Fun!

Okay. First things first is that after I managed to gather enough coins I went and got a Dratini and named him Blackjack. I did some minor grinding before going off and facing Whitney. Actually had to face her twice because the ROM just loves to crash on me and did so right before I could save my progress after defeating her. First time I fought her was easy. Blackjack 2hit-Ko'd her Miltank with Dragon Rage. Second time, though, he missed the second time so he was defeated but after what was almost I lost I won thanks to poison (thank the gods Poison Sting poisoned it twice because of that Lum Berry before Nico fainted) and confusion. Just received the badge, so I'll be heading up to Ecruteak, possibly grind a bit, and then take on Morty! Will also be receiving my final team member before taking on the next gym.

I went on up to Mauville and evolved Walden and Lucan on the way. Things are going more smoothly now. We went back to beat Brawly. Well...Rylan did anyway. I didn't use anyone else lol. Now getting ready for Wattson.​

We beat Wattson with relative ease. I mean, it's not like I was packing a Marshtomp or anything. Pssh. Caught Jordan the Numel once we had the means to get past the smashable rocks. Took a while to get him caught up, especially because he's so slow and his moveset isn't super wonderful at the moment. Things got a bit easier once Magnitude came into play. Now we're just beating down on some trainers before we go to see what the buzz is at Mt. Chimney.​

edit: OMG that is NOT how I wanted it to turn out but i kind of like it??? hahahaha i think i'll keep it

Sooo I was playing and reached Roark but the game crashed which lead to me trying again with two more consecutive crashes as a result - so I give up on Pearl until I find a new cartridge. EMULATION TIME. ♥
