Zoofia: The Animals' Rebellion
Pokecommunity Zoo, a wonderful place full of exotic animals from around the globe, all concentrated in one area for the enjoyment of all - as long as you can pay the entrance fee, of course. With a highly trained staff and seemingly well behaved animals, this zoo was seen as a pinnacle of success and a model for zoos around the globe.
Unfortunately for this lovely zoo, the animals had been planning an escape for quite some time. And one night, the animals managed to free themselves from their enclosures. However, there was one problem: they wanted revenge. The animals refuse to leave the zoo and enjoy their freedom until each human they can find is put into a cage, just as they were.
For those of you with previous experience with mafia games, welcome back! This'll be a standard game with the usual collection of roles following Epicmafia standards. Not anything too insane, like an immortal riddle master, but I still intend on giving this game a fun and refreshing atmosphere.
For those of you that are new to the game, great to have you here! This game isn't tailored specifically to teach you the mechanics of the game but it'll be treated as a good place to start. I'll be more than happy to explain the mechanics of the game to anyone that's confused, and other experienced mafia members will likely help you out. While it isn't necessary to read all this to start playing a game, Gunner put a lot of work into it, and it's a fun read.
To summarize all that info, the game is split into two factions. The Innocents (Animals) win by caging all the Mafia (Humans) that are in their midst, while the Mafia wins by outnumbering the remaining players. The Innocents are the uninformed majority, who have no idea who's who, while the Mafia have their own private chat and work together to bamboozle the town.
The game is split into Day and Night Phases. During the Day Phases, people post in the thread about their analysis of the game and vote on a person to lock in a cage. During Night Phases, Innocents and Mafia get to use what are known as Night Actions, or abilities that give them vital information, interfere with other Night Actions, give out useful items, or potentially eliminate another player. During the Night, no one can post in the thread, and people send their Night Actions to the GM: Bidoof FTW via Pokecommunity or via Discord.
That should cover the basics. More role information is given below. And just remember, the important thing is to have fun murdering each other!
The Animals
These escaped animals are sick of living their lives in cages, and have decided to organize a revolt against the humans and win their freedom.
Penguin - Penguin x2
These two, fluffy fellows love to waddle around and visit another player each night, telling them a little secret. There are multiple secret options and they are randomized. If one penguin visits the other, all player actions will be blocked that night. This can only happen every other night.
Polar Bear - Vigilante
The Polar Bear is a deadly beast, and should be respected as such. However, this fellow has built up rage from years of swimming in the same pool and playing with the same beach ball for years on end, and may cage a player of it's choosing each night. If the Polar Bear chooses to cage the same player as the Humans, the Polar Bear will get caught in the act and will become caged as well. If caged by the humans, the Polar Bear will fail in caging his target.
Wolf - Doctor
Wolves are pack animals, and to preserve the pack environment this wolf can protect one player each night from being caged.
Dolphin - Cop
Dolphins are incredible intelligent creatures, and this one in particular is no exception. The dolphin may investigate one player each night via echolocation, learning whether that player is an animal or a human.
Parrot - Agent
As you may know, Parrots have the capabilities to mimic human speech. After countless of house in the Bird House, this little fellow has had the time to learn incredible amounts of the English language and can use this knowledge to speak to any role in the game via PM.
Chimpanzee - Miller
Primates are basically humans, right? This animal's resemblance to humans is something that can confuse other animals, especially the Dolphin. The chimpanzee will appear as a Human when investigated by the Dolphin. This animal isn't very bright, either, and has even confused itself into thinking it is a Seal.
Seals - Vanilla Town x7
Fat and cute, but fairly uninteresting animals with no special skills or abilities. The amount of seals in the game will be corresponding to the amount of players that sign up. The final count will be added to the OP after the game has begun.
The Humans
The oppressors of the animals love to remain in control, and refuse to let the zoo animals go free. They will work together to put all of the animals back in their cages and end the revolt at the zoo.
Peacekeeper - Hooker
The peacekeeper is a human experienced with animals, knowledgeable of their special abilities and armed with the capabilities to stop them. She may choose to block a player each night, preventing that player from using their action.
Animal Trainer - Spy
After years of working with animals to teach them new tricks, this human has mastered the art of animal communication, and may communicate to any role via PM at any time they wish.
Guy in a Gorilla Suit - Godfather
Wait, this zoo has a gorilla? One human had the wits to disguise himself as an animal, which will result in him appearing as an animal when investigated by the Dolphin.
Zookeeper - Vanilla Mafia x1
A staff person that is too underpaid to bother with using any special skills, but still needs to cage the animals in order to keep their job at the zoo. Gotta pay off the student loans from their zoology degree somehow, right? The amount of zookeepers in the game will be corresponding to the amount of players that sign up. The final count will be added to the OP after the game has begun.

The Rules
- To join the game, add an animal noise to your signup post. A 'moo' or 'neigh' will do, but feel free to be a hipster about it and figure out what noise a fox makes if it tickles your fancy.
- Votes must be formatted as [Cage] Player. Failure to do so may result in your vote not being counted.
- Missing two votes in a row will result in your removal from the game and your replacement.
- Do not share your PMs! Furthermore, all game related conversation should be kept to this thread or to specified Discord chats.
- If you are killed, you are effectively dead. You get one death post that may not contain any in-game information. After that you're barred from haunting the thread.
- Do not post in the thread during the night phase. Death posts are an exception to this rule.
- You cannot abstain. You are however free to change your votes.
- In the event of a tie for lynch votes, a coin toss will determine who gets evicted.
