So how about that Demi-chan wa Kataritai? AOTS? I think it might be.

Anybody else has had that struggle of trying to watch Shimoneta with other people in the house?

Nah. I just slipped headphones on, hooked them into my phone, and pulled the show up that way.

My family already thinks anime's depraved trash so watching something like Shimoneta pretty much only makes sense on the highest quality loud speakers.

Nah, I live alone so it's fine. Although my neighbours probably judge me when I have my windows open in the summer. Don't care though.

Gonna be passing on the second anime contract challenge, I am way too busy right now to binge watch another series. I'm also keeping up with like... seven currently airing series, so that makes it even more difficult. D: lol

Pretty into Gabriel DropOut right now. Getting a big The Devil Is a Part-Timer vibes from it, and the characters are way cute.

Feels like an extension of the Umaru universe to me, focusses less on not-Umaru though so that's good.

The next arc of Dragon Ball Super is going to be insane, I can feel it. Yesterday's episode and these exhibition matches feel like a small little teaser of what to expect from the tournament of power, and its so freaking good. Buu just taking in the hits and absolutely destroying Basil was fun to watch, the overexcited guitar solo in the background was comparable to the bloodthirst the Zenos were displaying, and the artshift(if a bit heavy on the bloom) is getting closer and closer to the Halycon DBZ era of animation. Not to mention Gohan hype is at an all time high.

I'm curious. I was watching a video and I saw an anime with either march or may in its name, similar to Your Lie In April. Though I can't remember the full name or video. :/

That may be it. I'm so used to its Japanese name I didn't think of it.

I have notice that people mostly like Protagonist that acts like a villain.
In fact All The righteous , Kind , Polite , Good-nature , Energetic , Mature and Positive Protagonist seem to be less popular because they are too cliche.

Not all of them, just the ones with boring writing.

Anti-heroes and protags that are (initially) villains can tend to be written blandly too, but they do have the benefit of making you at least somewhat know where they're headed.

Anti-heroes are for mature adults like myself. Haven't you seen Code Geass? Remember the ONE MILLION ZEROS scheme, what a guy.

I finally got into manga again, thanks to an often overlooked manga called Houseki no Kuni.

Literally my reaction. Overlord is the only good MMO-based series I've seen.

...I've not seen Log Horizon yet though. Dunno if that's any good.

Meanwhile the only MMO based one I've seen is SAO still. At least, I think it's the only one.

Yeh but at this point isekai shows are basically MMOs without that specific context. Might as well just throw 'em in the pot.

So it's better than any of the crap Reki Kawahara has come out with thus far but not as good as Overlord, basically.

These MMO-based, "stick a normal guy in a fantasy setting" anime seem to be pretty popular right now, for some weird reason. SAO, I suppose. Isn't it about time we got an influx of a different genre? It doesn't look like there is much worthy of note coming up in the next season either...

Well that's mainly because the writer of Overlord is actually a writer.

And those are really hard to find in the LN industry, and the isekai/trapped in a different world genre by extension. It's actually pretty terrifying when you consider how many of these are popular.

                    Actually, pretty much.
Database is more about world itself and its rules while Overlord is about one important guy and SAO is about Kirito-kun's waifus.

Even then, I really haven't seen all that many of those, either. At least from the recent batch.

I mean, LNs are popular in part because they're easy to digest. Not everyone finds joy in chewing through books like War and Peace.
