Welcome to PokeCommunity's Monthly-MiniChallenge Spooky Event HOLIDAY PARTY!

What's This?
Every month, we will hold a mini-challenge that can be completed on an existing save, or in conjunction with a challenge you're working on. But this time, we decided to bring you old school Holiday Event.

General rules:
- All main series games are allowed
- Unlike regular Monthly-Mini Challenge, you have to start new game this time and beat it
- You can trade/hack in one of your Pokemon as Starter Pokemon
- Holidays are meant to be peaceful. Poison and Fighting-Types (with only exception being Crabominable) are banned for this challenge
- This challenge will run December 17th 2017 to January 14th 2018

Let's get to the funny part

Team Building
- Your whole team must be based on these Christmas symbols:

Special Snowflake - Ice-type or Fairy-Type that don't evolve by leveling OR Chimecho or Cryogonal*
Decorations - Pokemon that you would hang as decoration during Christmas
Gift bringer - Pokemon that symbolize your country's Holiday's icon (Santa Claus, Grandpa Frost, La Befana, Ježíšek, Belsnickel, ...)
Chanukija - Pokemon that has visible burning flame on itself
Family together - Pokemon with supporting move (or move made for double battles)
GIFTS!!! - Another player will give you this Pokemon based on your wish

*Pokemon that became Fairy-Type in GEN VI count for GEN I-V

i knew you would come up with something great. i'll hold off actually starting till i'm home tonight, but since i'll be at home with access to a stronger computer i might as well play a more modern game.

Just wanted to say that I edited main post a little bit (adding one note to Special Snowflake and changed Background music from Spooky theme to Cristmas theme :D )

I think Lickitung is exactly Pokemon that don't care of what it gets and would probably enjoy holiday not because of gifts, but because of food. Also, long time ago, there was no commercial aspect to Christmas, that's why Lickitung is better suited for you that its evolution.

I'll throw my hat into the ring, but quick question first: Are we allowed to hack in Pokemon that would fit the theme but are otherwise unobtainable?

I think Porygon should fulfill your technological desire

Question. if a pokemon evolves through levelling under special conditions (such as with a certain move, or a certain item held) does it count for the first challeng? or does it have to be just, not levelling up at all. like Trade or stone.

Sorry for the waiting :) But I think Xatu is good Pokemon for you, because it can see future, past and present at once, so you'll always be reminded of your awesome memories :)
