Overworld Mapping using Screenshot in RMXP

Hi, I am trying to recreate Hoenn region's overworld in RMXP. Is there any way to implement a city or route png file as a tileset and implement it directly as a map?

It's possible, but you'd have to either split that image so it fits into the size of a tileset, or use Parallax Mapping.

I personnally prefer creating my maps on photoshop and then try to do it the same in RMXP later.
