This is a power Rangers Fan Fic. I don't own any of the power rangers characters Disney does.

Summary
Tracy Burlew is the new girl from Michigan. She accidentally finds a pink dino gem on the way to her first day Reefside High. How will this affect her new life in Reefside, CA?

Chapter 1: Welcome To Reefside

Normal POV

Tracy Burlew is a seventeen old girl around 5'3'' with long Blondie hair and blue eye. She is wearing a t-shirt that says "I'm sorry if I fall asleep in class today sir/ma'am. It's not that what your teaching isn't important I'm just fighting jet lag." and a pair of blue jeans with a butterfly sequined on the upper part of the right leg. She was standing with her mother Christi in the driveway outside their new house by the ocean and talking about how much she wants to go back home to Michigan. Christi is a management analyst in her 60s. She is slightly above average height, with very long, straight, white-blonde hair, and dark blue eyes. Her husband Benjamin is a truck driver in his mid-50s. He is tall, has long, pale red hair, and pale green eyes. He left for work a few hours earlier.

"Mom, did we have to move?" She asks.

"Yes, sweetie you know how tough things were getting back in Michigan," Christi answers.

"But couldn't we have waited to move until I graduated." she adds

"I know you miss your friends back home, but things will get better don't you worry," Christi says reassuringly.

"Can't I stay home and help you unpack?" She asks.

"Nice try honey. I called Reefside High, and they are expecting their new student today. Plus the counselor received your transcripts as well." Christi says.

"Okay, fine, you win. Can I borrow your car?" she asks politely.

"Sorry, but I need it," Christi informs her.

"Great I have my driver's license, but I still have to take the school bus - nice." she whispers under her breath.

"You'd better get going you don't want to miss it now would you?" Christi asks.

"Yes," Tracy answers quickly.

Christi gives her daughter the evil look. Tracy tells her mom that she is going. Christi hands her daughter her Michigan State book bag and her lunch. Tracy slowly walks down the driveway and makes a left turn to walk down the street to the bus stop. About five minutes later she reaches the designated area. She notices a strange pink rock sitting next to the stop sign. Tracy reaches down and picks it up.

"Well, this is a pretty strange-looking rock. I wonder what it's doing here." She says.

She hears the bus start to pull up. So she puts the rock in her pocket. The bus' break squeaks as it comes to a complete stop and the doors swing open. She sees the bus driver Michelle Garcia. She is very tall and slender with strong features, long, straight, black hair, and dark brown eyes

"Hi, there I'm Michelle. Climb aboard the Reefside express." Michelle says.

She climbs the steps and enters the bus. She watches the doors slowly close behind her. She sits down in an empty seat and sets her bag down beside her. She stared out the window and watched as the sign marking the bus stop got smaller and smaller as the bus drives away.

"Man, I hate feeling like a freshman again." she says with a frown on her face.

Then a girl about five feet five comes over to her. She is very tall and lean with bold features, very short, straight, strawberry blonde hair, and blue eyes. Tracy moves her bag, and the girl sits down next to her.

"Hi, I'm Amber Torres, what's your name?" She asks.

"Tracy, it's nice to meet you." she says.

"You can come over and sit with me and my friends of you want." Amber offers.

"No thanks Amber I don't want to intrude or anything." she says.

"Hey Amber, why don't you invite your new friend over." says a male voice.

They look over to where the sound was coming from. Tracy sees a boy with baby blue eyes and curly baby blonde hair to match. His skin is white.

"Hey Amber, who's that?" she asks Amber.

"Oh, that's Mike Andrews. He's cute, right?" Amber says

Tracy says that Mike is kind of cute. She is trying not to blush. Amber can tell that she is crushing on him really bad, "Do you want to go over and say hi to him?" Amber says sweetly. Tracy shakes off the goofy smile from her face.

"No thanks Amber, I'm fine." she says a few seconds later.

"Well I guess, I'm just going to have to go back over there and tell him that you like him," Amber says with a cheeky smile on her face.

"No, you can't do that." she says frantically.

"I guess I'll have to invite him over," Amber says.

"Okay, Amber you win. I'll go over there," she says.

They walk over to where Mike and her other friends are. Mike moves over so Tracy can sit by the window.

"Hi I'm Mike, and what would your name be beautiful?" Mike says smoothly.

"Do you call all the girls beautiful?" she asks him.

"Just the beautiful ones like you. So, what is your name?" he says.

"Tracy," she says trying so hard not to act stupid.

"Well, a pretty name for an even prettier girl." He says with a smile on his face.

Mike continues telling her how beautiful she looked the entire ride. Tracy tried to speak, but nothing came out. Amber sits down next to her best friend, Lilly Flores.

"Well, it looks like their hitting it off," Lilly says.

"Yeah, I know," Amber agrees.

"Who is the girl?" Lilly asks her best friend.

"Oh, that's the new girl, Tracy," Amber answers.

"Well, I guess you could say that her first day at Reefside is off to a good start," Lilly says giggling.

"You can say that again, Lilly," Amber says with a smile.

Ten minutes later, the sound of the bus's brake squeaking as it stop causes her and Mike to stop talking. They look out the window to see Reefside High. The main entrance looked like a Chapel with a bell tower. There was a small path of grass that had a soccer goal set up in it. The courtyard was a few feet away from that.

"We're here so what do you think?" Mike asks.

"Its okay I guess it's a little bigger than my old school back home," Tracy answers finally saying something for the first time since he asked her what's her name.

"Well guess that I'll show you around before class starts." he offers.

"You don't have to do that you know," Tracy says.

"I know, but I want too." he says still smiling.

"Okay, if you insist," Tracy says.

They get up from the seat, and Mike hands Tracy her things. She puts her book bag back on her back and carries her lunch in her left hand. They exit the bus.

"You came from Michigan." He says surprised.

"Yup," Tracy says quickly.

"Why?" He asks curiously.

"You'll find out soon enough if you have any of the same class with me. I bet the teacher will want me to tell the class about myself like they do with all the new kids." Tracy says.

"Can't wait, can I see you schedule for a second," He says.

"I guess so," Tracy says shyly.

She takes her book bag off and unzip the front pocket. Then takes out her schedule and handed it to Mike.

"Well, what do you know we have first period together." He says still smiling like an idiot.

"That's pretty lucky I guess," Tracy says trying not to blush.

Mike hands Tracy's schedule back to her, and she puts it back in her book bag. She puts it back on her back.

"Don't you think that we should head inside now?" He asks sweetly.

Tracy nod and Mike grabs a hold of her right hand to lead her inside. As soon as his hand touches hers she felt her heart skip a beat.

Would you just calm down it's only a boy? Tracy thinks.

After Mike finishes showing her around the school, we went to Tracy's locker.

"So that's the grand tour and Welcome again to Reefside High." He says.

"Are you always this funny?" Tracy says.

"Not all the time but that depends to you like funny." He says.

"I love funny," Tracy says.

That moment many thoughts were running wild Tracy's brain keeps telling me to stop filtering with him and ask him out already. Another thought rang in my head why are California guys some much cuter than Michigan guys.

"Okay, Tracy well I guess I'll see you in class." he says.

"Yeah I'll see you in class," Tracy says.

Mike turn around and starts to walk away. Tracy waits till he turned the corner before she puts my things away in her locker and accidentally slam her finger in the door.

Oh, man, that's smarts I'm glad that Mike didn't see that. Tracy thinks.

Then four students and a science teacher walked up. One of the boys was carrying a small rubber soccer ball, another boy was carrying a lab top, and the thirds boy was carrying a sketch pad, and the girl had an acoustic guitar on her back.

"Smooth move newbie," the boy with the rubber soccer ball says.

"Conner! I'm sorry he never thinks before he speaks. Hi, I'm Kira. You've already met Conner. That's Ethan and Trent, last but not lease that's Doctor Oliver he's our Science teacher. You're Tracy, right?" the girl with the acoustic guitar on her back says.

"It's nice to meet everyone, and It's okay Kira I'll get used to being a newbie or hey you until I get accustomed to this place but how did you know my name," Tracy says.

I saw you talking with Mike." Kira says.

"Yeah, he was showing me around. I was wondering if Mike just kidding. Does he have science class with me first period?" Tracy asks.

"That depends on what is room number?" Dr. Oliver asks.

"I think it's Room 102," Tracy answers.

"That would be my classroom and according to my attendance sheet he doses." He says confidently.

"Great," Tracy says in a sarcastic tone.

"Now she has more chances to look stupid in front of Mike," Conner says with a devious smile.

"Conner!" Tracy yells back at him.

"Hey I just saying and it's pretty obvious that he like you." he says smiling.

"Really? There is no way a guy as nice as Mike would ever want to go out with someone like me." Tracy says modestly.

"Come on guys, we need to get going," Dr. Oliver says.

"Yeah, we wouldn't want the teacher to give himself a tardy slip now would we," Tracy says jokingly.

First day of classes at Reefside

Normal POV

They enter the room, and Dr. Oliver takes his place at the front of the class. The teens take their seats. Tracy sits down and lets out a long sigh.

"Hey, you okay?" Kira asks.

"Yeah, I'm okay, just a little homesick I guess," Tracy answers in a sad tone.

"You miss all your friends back home, huh," Trent says.

"Yup, and all my teachers at my old school too." She says sadly.

"What was your old science teacher like?" Conner asks.

"At my old school we had three different teachers who taught a particular science class. Anyway, my favorite teacher was the one who would let you talk about music. He would be just speak of music for the entire class period." She answers in a sad tone.

"He sounds like a cool teacher." Kira says.

"Yeah, he was," She says, trying to smile.

Then the rest of the class files in. Mike sits down in his seat and waves at me.

"Tracy, look there is your prince charming." Kira says in a sing-song tone.

"Ha ha Kira very funny," Tracy says in a sarcastic tone.

"Just go over there. He obviously wants you to sit next to him." Kira says.

"Really?" Tracy asks, as she tries not a smile like an idiot.

"Looks like it," Kira says still smiling.

Tracy's POV

I get up from my seat, grab my things, and start to walk over to Mike's table. I stop about half way.

"Why did you stop?" she asks.

"That table looks a little crowed. I'll just sit with you and the rest of the gang." I answer.

"Nice try" she says.

Kira gives me a friendly shove towards Mike's table. I stumble into it.

"Hey, are you ok?" Mike asks.

"Yup, I'm good." I answer trying not to blush.

Normal POV

She casually walks around to her seat and sit down. A few seconds later the bell rings.

"All right class can anyone tell me something about the Jurassic era?" Doctor Oliver asks the class.

Tracy takes out her notebook and start to take notes. About twenty minutes later she feels her eyes fill with sleep. She takes off her glasses and wipes the sleep from them. She puts them back on her face and looks back down at her notebook. She loses her place and can't keep up with what Dr. Oliver was saying. She skips a few lines and starts to draw a picture of her old school from memory. Mike looks over her shoulder and notices the drawing.

"Nice drawing," He whispers.

"Thanks," she whispers back.

Tracy looks back up at Dr. Oliver, just to let him know that she was still paying attention to what he was saying. She goes back to work on the drawing. The school bell rings and the class runs out of the room.

"Don't forget to read chapter seven for class tomorrow." Dr. Oliver says.

The class files out of the room quickly. She gathers up her things and leave the room.

Tracy and Kira head to Music class with Miss May. They enter the room, and the teacher walks up to them. She is 5'8'', black hair, and blue-green eyes.

"Hello, you must be Tracy?" Miss May says smiling.

"Yes ma'am," Tracy says.

"I'm Miss May and welcome to my class, and you came on a good day because today is solo day. I'm trying to pick who will sing the solo for our concert for the school next week. Kira would you like to go first today?" Miss May asks.

"Sure Miss May I would be happy to," Kira says.

Then the bell rings and Kira and Tracy take their seats. Miss May takes attendance and signals for Kira to step to the middle of the room. Kira takes her guitar off her back and tunes it before she starts to sing "Freak You Out". When she finishes the class applauds loudly.

"Well done as usual Miss Ford. Tracy, would you like to go next?" Miss May asks.

"Not really but I guess I will have to have to go sooner or later. I didn't bring any music with me." Tracy says shyly.

"I'm not too out of date Miss Burlew. I know you teenagers have those IPods, so I'm guess that you have one in your pocket. Would you please plug it into the computer and pick a song." She says sternly.

"Yes Ma'am," Tracy says shyly.

Tracy takes her IPod out of her pocket and plug it into the computer; She picks "Part Of Your World" and hits play. She stands in front of the class shaking like a leaf and she looks over at Kira. She gives her a thumbs ups. She starts to sings quietly, but after she hits the first notes right on key she sings more confidently. When Tracy finished the song the class claps loudly again and walks back to the computer to unplug her IPod. She walks over to Kira and sit down next to her.

"Wow, Tracy that was really good." Kira complements.

"Thanks, guys," Tracy says with a smile.

"Tracy, have you done any singing before?" Miss May asks.

"Just church choir." Tracy answers.

"Oh, it shows you do a good job of singing constants I understood every word you sang. Who's next?" Miss May asks the class of worried students.

The rest of the class gets up to sing, and fifteen minutes later the bell rings again.

The girls stop in front of Tracy's locker, and Tracy opens it.

"So what do you think of Reefside High so far?" Kira asks.

"It's ok I guess. I've only had two classes." Tracy answers.

Conner, Ethan, and Trent walk up.

"Hey, guys." Conner greets us.

"Conner too bad you aren't taking music class this semester. You missed Tracy singing today." Kira brags.

"Wait, Tracy, you sing?" Conner asks surprised.

"Yeah, but I'm not as good as Kira though." She says modestly.

"You are too modest. She was amazing" Kira says.

Then the rock in Tracy's pocket starts to glow. Tracy reaches into her pocket and takes out the pink rock. Everyone stands in shock.

"Hey, guys what's wrong with you? It's just a rock." She says.

"Tracy, where did you find this?" Ethan asks.

"I found it at the bus stop this morning, why?" She answers.

"Oh, no reason. Tracy, do you mind if we talk in private?" Ethan says.

"Not really," She says.

Tracy grabs her lunch and the books she needs for her next class. She closes her locker and walks away so they could talk.

"That was the dino gem Dr. O was tracking. We have to tell her what she found." Ethan explains.

"Come on Ethan put yourself in her shoes. Would you believe your new friends if they told you that you found a rock that can give you super powers?" Kira points out.

"Ethan, she's got a point. Do you think that she is going to believe us?" Trent agrees.

"Whether she believes us or not, she needs to know before you know who finds out." Ethan points out.

The bell rings again, so they head to their next class. Tracy heads to Gym class with Mr. Jonas. He is 5'7'', has very long, dark brown hair, and hazel eyes.

"Conner McKnight," Mr. Jones says.

"Here," Conner calls back.

"Tracy Burlew," He calls out.

"Here," Tracy calls back.

"You're my new student?" He asks.

"Yes, sir." Tracy answers.

"Welcome to Reefside High," He says.

He continues taking attendance.

"Grant Adams," He calls out.

"Here" Grant calls back.

Mr. Jones tells everyone to go change, and when they get back, he'll pick teams for a soccer game. I enter the girl's locker room, and Amber runs up.

"Hey, I didn't expect to see you here." Amber says.

"Neither did I. Maybe the A on my transcript means nothing." Tracy says jokingly.

"Look on the bright side. We have another class together." She says.

"True," Tracy says.

"Just try your best to stay away from Grant and his friends, ok." She warns.

"Let me guess. They are the welcoming committee." Tracy jokes.

"Not really Grant likes to pick on the new kid." Amber says with a confused look on her face.

"Amber it was a joke." Tracy says.

"Sorry," She apologizes.

"I figured that he does give off that school bully vibe." Tracy explains.

"Just stay on your toes, okay?." She warns again.

"Thanks, Amber I will." Tracy says.

They walk over to their gym lockers. Amber changes into her gym clothes quickly and starts to head out.

"Hey, you coming." Amber calls.

"Yeah I'll be right there." Tracy calls back.

Tracy starts to change into her gym clothes. As she folds up, her jeans the rock falls out of the pocket, and it is still glowing. It rolls all the way over to Amber, but Tracy doesn't notice. She finished changing, and Amber walks over to her. Amber hands her the rock.

"I think you dropped something." She says.

"Thanks, Amber. It must have fallen out of my jean pocket." Tracy explains.

She puts in her locker and locks it. They leave to join the rest of the class in the gymnasium. Mr. Jones picks teams for the game, and they are on Conner's team.

"Great, we will win for sure." She says.

"I'm guessing that Conner is pretty good at soccer." Tracy says.

"He is amazing," She brags.

"Cool," Tracy says.

"Ok everyone let's head out to the soccer field." Mr. Jones tells the class.

"Tracy, have you played soccer before?" Conner asks.

"If you count standing in the goal and the ball bouncing off the goal post, then the ball hitting me in the face playing. Then yes, I have played a little." Tracy jokes.

"Dose that happen a lot - I mean the ball hitting you in the face." Conner says.

"Yeah, but I've gotten used to it I guess my face has a force field that attracts sports balls to it." she says cracking another joke.

She walks over to the bench. Grant and his friends, Peter Torres and Jeremy Wong, were standing mid field. Grant is above average height, with medium length, pale brown hair, and dark hazel eyes. Peter is very short, with very long, straight, light brown hair, and green eyes. Jeremy is below average, with very short, brown hair, and dark green eyes. Grant has a soccer ball in his hand and places it on the ground.

"You two know the plan right?" Grant asks his two friends.

"We sure do boss." Peter answers.

"Grant, are you sure about this?" Jeremy asks in a worried tone.

"Come on Jeremy. Man up. It won't hurt her much, and besides she said it herself, she is used to this kind of thing happening to her. So one more time isn't going to make much of a difference now will it." Grant snaps.

Grant gave the boys the signal, and they went off to distract Mr. Jones.

"Hey, new girl think, fast." Grant yells.

Tracy turns around and sees Grant kick the ball from mid field.

"Tracy, heads up." Conner warns.

Conner's warning fell on deaf ears because it was coming in too fast. A few seconds later the ball slammed into Tracy's face causing her glasses to fly off her face. She winced in pain. Conner and Amber ran over to her

Man, I should have seen that one coming. Tracy thought.

"Tracy, are you ok?" Amber asks.

"Yup, Amber I'm good. It's just a little sore that's all." Tracy says.

"Hey Grant, that was a dirty trick," Conner yells back at him.

Grant is still standing mid field but has a look of pure satisfaction on his face and Conner started to walk over to Grant to give him a piece of his mind.

"Conner, stop." Tracy calls to him.

"Tracy, are you just going to let him get away with this? He clearly did it on purpose." Conner whines.

"I know, but can we please not make a big deal out of it ok." She begs.

Conner turns back around and walks back over to the girls. Amber picks up Tracy's glasses and gives them back to her. Grant's friends stop talking with Mr. Jones and they all comeover.

"What happened here? Are you all right?" Mr. Jones asks.

"Nothing, sir, I'm fine." Tracy says.

Mr. Jones can tell that something is wrong.

"I'll ask again, what happened?" He demands.

Tracy stands in silence, but Conner stands up for his new friend.

"Grant purposely kicked the ball hard from mid field so it would hit Tracy in the face." Conner explains.

"Conner, what are you doing?" Tracy whispers to him.

"I'm standing up for my new friend." He whispers back.

"Grant, is this true?" Mr. Jones asks the school bully.

"No way Mr. Jones, Conner's lying." Grant says confidently.

Mr. Jones looks over at Tracy and sees a small cut on her face near her left eye that happened when her glasses flew off her face.

"Tracy, you have a small cut on your face near your left eye." Mr. Jones says.

She touches her face near her left eye and wipes away a very small amount of blood. Mr. Jones tells Tracy she should see the nurse. She knew full well that there is no way she was going to argue with the gym teacher.

"Yes sir," Tracy says.

"I'll lead the way," Conner offers.

"Conner, it's okay, you don't have to. I think I can find it on my own." Tracy says.

"Conner will go with you." Mr. Jones orders.

They leave the soccer field and head to the nurse's office. They enter the room. The nurse is average height and compact with pinched features, very long, straight, dirty blonde hair, and blue-green eyes.

"Hello, Conner, who's your friend?" The school nurse asks.

"This is Tracy." He answers.

"You're the new student, right?" the school nurse asks.

"Yup," Tracy answers.

"So I see that you have met Grant." She says flatly

The nurse goes to work and cleans the cut on her face.

"Well you're all set," she says with a smile.

They exit, and the bell rings again.

"Sorry Conner, it looks like you missed the game because of me." Tracy apologize.

"It's no big deal I have soccer practice after school," Conner says.

"We should head to the cafeteria before the room gets too packed and we get stuck sitting at the table next to the trash cans," Conner says.

Tracy nods. They walk there as fast as they can. Conner and Tracy find a table close to the window and sit down.

"Conner thanks again for what you did back there in Gym class," Tracy says.

"No prob that's what friends are for, right." He says smiling.

Kira and the others walk in the room. He waves over to them. They all sit-down.

"Tracy, it looks like you met Grant," Ethan say.

"Yeah, he is such a nice kid," Tracy says in a sarcastic tone.

"No, he's not," Ethan says in a shocked tone.

"Ethan, she was being sarcastic," Trent says.

"I knew that. Hey Tracy, you still have that rock. Don't you?" Ethan asks.

"Yup," She answers.

"Tracy, I have to tell you something about that rock," he says stammering through his statement.

"Ethan, I don't think that this is the best place," Kira says.

"You're right Kira." he says.

"Okay, can someone please tell me what's going on?" Tracy whines.

Ethan and the others just sit in silence exchanging looks of doubt.

"Oh, it's nothing Tracy, really," Ethan says.

"Okay, whatever you say, Ethan," Tracy says.

Fifteen minutes later the bell rings and They head to their next class, Pre-Calculus with Mr. Johnson. He is short, has very long, straight, blond hair, and pale brown eyes.

"We have a new student joining us today. Her name is Tracy, and I would like you all the make her feel welcome here at Reefside." He tells the class.

The whole class says hi.

"Why don't you take your seat next to Mike and we can get started." he offers.

Oh, great Mike here again. Either he does like me or our schedules just match up a little too well. Tracy thought.

Tracy walks over to her desk and sits down.

"Hello again beautiful," Mike says.

"Hey," She says.

Mr. Johnson starts to write the lesson on the board in a nine-point font. She take out her notebook and does her best to take notes. Ten minutes into the lesson she gives up and start to draw another picture of her old school in her notes.

"And that is the law of sines. Any questions?"Mr. Johnson asks, finishing writing the last few things on the board then turns back around to face the class. No one raises their hand.

"Good. please, do problems 1-20 in your book on page 150 for homework tonight," he says smiling.

The bell rings five minutes later. Tracy drops her calculator as she gets up from her desk and rushes out of the room. she heads to her locker. she opens it and put things away and noticed that she don't have her calculator.

Great, I must have dropped it when I left class. Man way, to go me. Tracy thinks.

"Hey, Tracy," Conner calls.

Tracy closes her locker and slams her right index finger in the door- again. She slides it out from the door and turns around.

"Man Conner, could you give me a warning next time huh," Tracy says.

"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you," Conner apologizes.

"No worries, I'm good," She says accepting his apology.

She looks over his shoulder and sees Mike walk up.

"Hey Conner," Mike says.

"Oh hey, Mike. What's up?" he asks.

"Nothing really. Tracy, I think you forgot something." Mike says.

He hands Tracy her calculator. As their hands come in contact with the other, she notices how their fingers lined up perfectly and they hold hands for a few seconds accidentally.

"Uh Tracy you can let go now," Mike says blushing.

Tracy takes her hand away quickly and blushes a little.

"Sorry and thanks." She says.

"Don't worry about it and you're welcome," Mike says, as he leaves to head back to his locker.

He leans in close to her.

"I hope that we could become more than just good friends." He whispers into her ear.

The calculator falls out of Tracy's hand and hits the floor. Mike turns around and goes to his locker. She stands in silence with a goofy smile on her face and watches him walk away.

"So, Tracy, what did he say?" Kira asks.

"Kira give up. We've lost her. She is on the love bug express." Ethan says jokingly.

Conner opens up his water bottle and splashes the cold water on her face.

"Conner, what did you do that for?" Tracy asks/yells at him.

"Sorry, but welcome back to earth," Conner says.

"Tracy, you like Mike, don't you?" Kira asks.

"No way Kira, you're talking crazy," Tracy says.

She starts listing all his good qualities and the goofy smile comes back on her face. Conner tosses cold water on her face again. Then Dr. Oliver walks up.

"Hey Ethan, what's going on?" He asks.

Ethan is going to answer, but Conner beats him to the punch.

"Nothing much, Dr. O, except Tracy is just crushing on Mike," Conner says happily.

Tracy slap Conner in the gut, "Conner, will you shut up.

Then the bell rings again.

"Oh, would you look at that. We'll be late for our next class if we don't get going now." Tracy says sighing with relief.

She heads to English class with Miss Drew. She is tall, with long, straight, dirty blonde hair, and pale brown eyes. She introduces Tracy to the class and she sees that Mike is in this class too. He has it played out that the only empty desk is next to him.

Okay, maybe he really does have a thing for me. Tracy thinks.

She sits down at her desk.

"Okay, class, we are going to start reading Romeo and Juliet today," Miss Drew announces.

The class gowns.

Again? I already read this in my sophomore English class at my old school. Tracy thinks.

She starts to hand out the books and it so happens that they don't have enough copies for everyone so Mike and Tracy have to share one. Tracy moves her desk closer so she can read it. They start to read the first few pages and every time they turn the page their fingers touch and it makes Tracy blush. She takes her hand away and let him turn it.

"Okay, class, we will read up to Act 2 today." Miss Drew says.

The class continue to read aloud and fifteen minutes later they read up to where she wants to get to by the end of the class period.

"All right, class, you may turn the books back in now."Miss Drew says with a smile.

Then she collects the books. Tracy moves her desk back to its proper place.

"All right class have a nice day." she says as the last bell rings.

Tracy slowly gets out of her desk to make sure that she didn't forget anything. She walks to the front of the room and reaches into her pocket to make sure that the rock is still there. She sighs with relief as she fells the rocks texture in her hand. She slowly take her hand back out of her pocket. Then she leaves the room and goes to her locker.

Chapter 3: Wait I'm A What

Normal POV

Tracy opens her locker and takes out her book bag. She looks around, checking to see if Grant is in the area.

Good Grant is nowhere in sight. Let's just hope it stays that way until I get back to the bus. Tracy thinks.

She closes her locker slowly to make sure that she didn't slam her finger in it for the third time. She turns around and see Kira and the gang walk up.

"Hey, Tracy, has Mike asked you out yet?" Kira asks.

"Whoa slow down there Kira. What makes you think that he is going to ask me out?" Tracy asks.

"Come on Tracy, can't you tell that he crushing on you." Kira argues.

"Well yeah but that doesn't grantee that he is going to ask me out," Tracy says.

"Trust me. He is going to ask you out," Kira says.

"How do you know that?" Tracy asks.

"Why don't you ask him yourself? Here comes prince charming." Kira replies, as she sees him back walk behind her.

"Come on Kira quit kidding around," Tracy says.

"I'm not," Kira says.

A few seconds later Tracy sees Mike standing right behind her.

"Hey," Mike says.

"Hey," Tracy says.

"Can I ask you a question?" Mike says a little more confidently.

"If you are wondering who stole the cookies from the cookie jar it wasn't me." she answers

After she finished that statement she is blushing with embarrassment.

Oh great, I can't believe I just said that. Now he must think that I am an idiot. Tracy thinks.

"Hey, Conner was right. You are funny. Anyway, I was just wondering if you would like to take a walk with me around town after school tomorrow." Mike says.

Tracy tries to give a response but nothing comes out. So Kira answered for her

"She'd love to Mike," Kira says.

"Great I'll see you then." Mike says.

Then he turns around to go catch the bus. He walks backward then turns around to face Tracy again.

"I think I forgot something." Mike says.

"What's that?" Tracy asks.

"This," Mike says.

He leans in close and kisses her on the cheek. Conner lets out a loud catcall and Kira slaps him in the gut. Mike backs away and sees Tracy blushing like an idiot.

"Tracy, are you okay?" Mike asks.

"Yeah I'm okay," Tracy says.

"Good see you later beautiful." he says.

"Yeah see you later." Tracy says, as she tries to stop blushing

He turns back around and leaves for the bus again. Tracy stands in front of her locker like a deer caught in the headlights. Conner pulls out his trusty water bottle, opens it, and tosses the cold water on my face. She finally stops blushing.

"Hey Conner would you stop doing that you're just wasting perfectly good water." Tracy yells.

"Sorry, it was the only thing I could think of to bring you back to earth." Conner says.

"Okay Kira you were right. I can't believe that I blew it." Tracy says.

She turns around to bang her head on her locker. Kira stops the young girl by grabbing Tracy by her shoulders and turns her back around.

"You didn't blow it," Kira says.

"Yes I did. I couldn't even talk to him and when I did I said something stupid." Tracy reminds her.

"I think it was cute when you acted all stupid." Kira says.

"Thanks for those words of encouragement Kira. I need to go catch the bus." Tracy tells her.

She leaves the group. Tracy is two feet away from getting on the bus. She feels someone grab her by the wrist and slam her against the wall.

"You remember me I trust." Grant says slyly.

"Well I try not to." Tracy says sarcastically.

"You haven't met my friends have you?" Grant asks.

"No I haven't had the honor." she says in the same sarcastic tone.

"Well say hello to Peter and Jeremy." Grant says, as he makes a gesture towards his two friends.

"I'm guessing that all they are here just to make you look stronger, right?" Tracy says trying to sound tough.

"Why you" Grant snaps.

Grant rips Tracy's glasses of off face and drops them to the ground. Then he makes a fist with his right hand.

"Grant, are you really going to hit a girl? My dad told me if I ever hit a girl he would ground me for life." Jeremy says.

"Would you be quiet Jeremy and just watch out for teachers okay." Grant snaps.

===== Welcome To Reefside =====

They do as Grant tells them to do and the next thing Tracy sees is Grant's fist coming towards her face. She closes her eyes to protect them for what is about to happen. But, before it comes in contact with her face, she hears the sound of his fist hitting someone's hand and open her eyes. She sees Dr. Oliver standing in front of her.

"Dr. Oliver, I was just saying hi to the new girl." Grant says innocently.

"Nice try Grant. Do I have to call your parents again?" Dr. Oliver tells him.

"NO! Dr. Oliver, don't call my folks, please." Grant whines.

"If you promise to leave her alone I won't call your parents." Dr. Oliver offers.

"Sure Dr. Oliver I promise." Grant says.

Grant and his friends run away. Dr. Oliver turns around. Tracy picks up her glasses and put them back on.

"Tracy, are you okay?" Dr, Oliver asks.

"Yeah, thanks, Dr. Oliver," Tracy answers.

Tracy notices that the rock in her pocket is still glowing. She reaches into it and takes out the rock. Then Kira and the others run up.

"Dr. Oliver, we have something to tell you." Kira yells as she is running up.

"Let me guess Tracy found the dino gem that we've been looking for." Dr. Oliver says.

"A dino what now?" Tracy asks in shock.

Then "Temporary Home" starts playing through Tracy's phone. She reach into her purse and takes out it out to check the message.

"Oh great," Tracy says trying not to yell at the top of her lungs.

"Is it good news or bad news?" Ethan says trying to be a wiseguy

"If you consider having your dad text you just to say that he and my mom are working late so I have to find somewhere else to spend the night. I would have to call it bad news." Tracy says being very sarcastic.

"You can stay at my place tonight." Dr. Oliver offers.

"No Dr. Oliver it's okay. I don't want trouble you." Tracy says modestly.

"It's no trouble at all." Dr. Oliver says with a reassuring smile.

Kira pulls him aside to talk to him in private.

"You are going to tell her about the whole power ranger thing and the powers that she will get from the gem aren't you Dr. O?" Kira asks.

"Don't worry Kira I will," Dr. Oliver answers.

"Okay Dr. O," Kira says.

They head back to the group and everyone is talking about their after school activities. A few minutes later we go their separate ways. Tracy and Dr. Oliver walk up to his jeep. Dr. Oliver gets into the driver's seat. Tracy is about to climb into the passenger seat. She sees Mike running up out of the corner of her eye. Mike arrives a few seconds later, he is out of breath.

"Hey Mike." Tracy says.

"Hi Tracy," Mike says, still trying to catch his breath.

He waits a few second so his breathing could return to normal before he spoke.

"I made a copy of the notes from Pre Calc for you. I mean you don't have to take them if you want to." he offers.

"Thanks Mike it will make doing tonight's homework a little easier. Thanks." Tracy says.

"No prob," he says.

Mike hands her the folder with the notes inside. Tracy takes off her book bag to put them away. she unzip my bag too far and all the contents spill out onto the ground.

"Man I'm such a klutz" Tracy blurts.

"Don't talk about yourself like that. This kind of thing could happen to anyone." he says nicely.

Mike helps her pick everything up off the ground. As they are cleaning up Mike accidentally knocks Tracy's glasses off her face, but she didn't notice. Tracy zips up her bag. She sets her bag on the floor in front of the passenger seat.

"I think that these are yours." Mike says sweetly.

He hands Tracy her glasses Their eyes meet for the second time.

"Hey, did I ever tell you that you have pretty eyes?" Mike says in a flirty tone.

"Yes, on the bus this morning like ten times." Tracy reminds him.

"Right I knew that." he says blushing.

Tracy giggles a little and a smile appears on her face. "Did you know that your eyes shine like stars when you laugh." he says in a flirty tone.

"No, but now I do" I say.

"Guys I hate to break up this conversation but Mike if you don't leave soon you are going to miss the bus." Dr. Oliver says politely.

Mike looks down at his watch and thanks him. He leans in again and gives her another quick peck on the cheek and rushes to catch the bus. Tracy feels her legs turn to jelly and her body starts to fall backwards. She catches herself using the jeep door.

"Hey Tracy, are you okay Tracy!" Dr. Oliver calls.

"Yeah I'm okay," Tracy says turning back around.

Tracy opens the car door and gets inside. They stop at Tracy's house so she can get a change of clothes for school tomorrow. She climbs back inside and buckles up and he puts the jeep in drive. Ten minutes later the jeep pulls into the driveway. After Dr. Oliver turns off the engine and he looks over at Tracy. He sees her fast asleep in the passenger seat. He shakes her gently. Tracy slowly opens her eyes and yawns.

"Sorry about that Dr. Oliver." Tracy apologizes.

"No prob I was just wondering when you were going to fall asleep considering that you looked really tired since this morning." he says in an understanding tone.

"Yeah I've been fighting jet lag all morning and on top of that I only slept two hours last night" She tells him.

"The flight in was that bad?" he asks.

She nods and grabs her things. They head inside the house. He shows her to the guest room and she opens the door. Tracy sets her things near the desk by the window and looks around the room.

"What do you think?" he asks.

"It's nice I can't compare it to my new room until I get a chance to unpack. It's the same size as my old room in Michigan." she answers.

He decides to give her a chance to get settled in, so he turns around to leaves the room. Tracy decides not to start her homework and walks over to the bed. She lays down on it and it's soft as a cloud. The quietness of the forest is all she needs to help her fall back to sleep again. About ten minutes later Dr. Oliver decides to go check on how Tracy is doing. He slowly walks up the stairs to the guest room.

"Hey Tracy you doing okay?" he asks. as he knocks on the door.

He doesn't get a response so he opens the door quietly. He sees her fast asleep on the bed.

I should have guessed that. Dr. Oliver thought.

He walks over to the bed and gently slides Tracy's glasses offer face. He sets the glasses on the end table and tiptoes out of the room so she can sleep. Two hours later Tracy walks into the kitchen.

"Hey Tracy how did you sleep?" he asks her with a smile.

"Okay. So, how long was I out away?" she asks.

"About two hours" he answers.

"You could have woken me up if you had something else planned." she says.

"Considering that you were completely comatose I doubt that the school marching band would have woken you up." he jokes.

Tracy lets out a fake laugh.

"There is something I wanted to talk to you about." he says, changing the tone of his voice.

"What is it Dr. Oliver?" Tracy asks confused.

He rolls up his sleeve and Tracy sees a bracelet with a rock on it like the one she found. But this one is black.

"What does this have to do with me Dr. Oliver?" she asks even more confused.

Then his bracelet turns into his morpher. Tracy grabs a hold of the table in shock.

"Wait, that looks like a morpher. So, you want me to become a … I mean you want to join the power rangers." Tracy stammers.

Dr. Oliver gets up from his chair, walks over to her, and places his hand on Tracy's shoulder. He can tell that she is still in shock about what is going on.

"Tracy you okay?" Dr. Oliver asks again.

"Yeah just give me minute," Tracy says.

"I know that this isn't what you were expecting to happen when you moved out here." he says calmly.

"You can say that again. But, do you really need another ranger?" she asks.

"We could always use the help fighting against Mesogog." he says.

"I'm guessing that Mesogog is the freak who is trying to take over the world." she says.

"Actually, he is trying to return the Earth to the age of the dinosaurs. I hate to tell you this but the thing with dino gems is that you can't choose them they choose you." he explains.

"Well can't it UN choose me? I thought to become a Ranger you need super powers." she says.

"You will soon enough" he says.

"Come Dr. Oliver," Tracy says rolling her eyes.

"I'm serious," he says in a very believable tone.

"Well even if the gem did give me super powers I don't feel any different and I can't be a Power Ranger. I don't have what it takes." she says, trying not to get extremely upset.

Tracy takes the gem out of her pocket and slam it on the table. As her hand hits the table, the force causes it to split in half.

"Okay how did I do that?" she ask in surprise.

"Looks like the gem's power is starting to bond with you and the gem wouldn't have bonded with you if you didn't have something inside you that could handle the power." he says.

"Well that's good to know but I guess all the cooler powers already been taken so I got stuck with super strength." she complains.

"Super strength isn't all that bad," he compliments.

"Ok Dr. Oliver whatever you say but to become a Ranger don't I need a morpher." she says.

"You will soon enough. Come on there is someone I would like you to meet," he says.

He picks Tracy's gem up off the floor. They walk out of the kitchen and head to the main entrance. Tracy sees a mini T-rex Skeleton sitting on a counter in the room next to the entrance. He walks over to it and touches the jaw. A trap door opens in front of her.

"Dr. Oliver, are you a science teacher or batman?" Tracy says trying to make joke.

He chuckles and asks her to follow him. They walk down a flight of stairs and reached the bottom. Tracy look around and she can't believe what she saw.

"Dr. Oliver, what is this place?" she asks.

"It's the command center," he answers.

"OK so who did you want to meet anyway?" she says.

Tracy turns around and sees a woman with a friendly smile on her face. She has a box in her left hand.

"Tracy this is Hayley" Dr. Oliver says, introducing me to her.

"HI Hayley it's nice to meet you" Tracy says, shaking her right hand.

"The feeling is mutual," Hayley says, accepting my handshake.

"So what's in the box?" she asks.

"Why don't you open it and see," she answers, handing me the box.

Tracy opens the box and sees her morpher. She did recognize the dinosaur that it was in the shape of.

"One question, what is this dinosaur?" Tracy asks.

"It's a Gigantosaurus." Dr. Oliver answers.

"So why don't you give it a go?" she asks.

"I would but doesn't it have some special password." Tracy answers.

"Yes all you need to say is "Dino Thunder Power up". But first can I see it for a second and your dino gem too?" Dr. Oliver explains.

Tracy hands the morpher and her gem to Dr. Oliver. He places the gem over the morpher and the gem seems to disappear into the morpher. Then he hands it back to her and she puts the morpher on her right wrist.

"Okay, well, here goes nothing. Dino Thunder Power up," Tracy yells.

Tracy does a back flip and a few seconds later she stand in front of Hayley and Dr. Oliver in a pink ranger suit.

"How do you feel?" Hayley asks.

"I can't really explain it." she answers.

"It just takes a little getting used to. Trust me." Dr. Oliver says.

"Okay Dr. Oliver whatever you say. How do I go back to normal?" she asks.

"Just say "power down"." he answers.

"Power down" Tracy says crossing her arms.

After Tracy says that and changes back into her old self. She takes off the morpher and gives it back to Dr. Oliver.

"Maybe you should try to find another pink ranger. I'll only mess things up." Tracy says.

"How do you know that you haven't even gone out on the battlefield yet?" he asks.

"Just trust me I'm no hero. I all the monsters would say I'm weak, small, and would make a great punching bag." she says.

"Come on. Don't you think that you are overreacting just a bit because that is not what I see." he says.

"Really what do you see Dr. Oliver?" Tracy asks.

"I see a strong-willed and courageous young woman who just wants to prove to the world that they shouldn't judge people by how they look on the outside because a person's true power comes from who they are on the inside." he answers.

Tracy's eyes start to fill with tears so she takes off her glasses.

"Tracy, why are you crying?" Hayley asks.

"No one has ever picked that up about me after meeting me for the first time. My whole life people have always judged me by my how I looked on the outside. They never took the time to get to know me. Dr. Oliver did you really mean what you said?" Tracy answers, all choked up.

"Yes I did," he says proudly.

Dr. Oliver walks over to her and uses his hands to wipe the tears from her eyes. Tracy puts her glasses back on.

"I would love to stay longer but I need to go open the cybercafé." Hayley says, breaking up the touching scene.

"Cybercafé, what's that?" Tracy asks.

"It's a coffee shop and a teen hang out spot here in Reefside." Hayley explains.

"Sounds cool," Tracy says.

"Do you want to check it out?" she asks.

Tracy nods with much excitement.

"Cool, I'll see you soon." she says.

Dr. Oliver and Tracy wave good-bye as she walks back up the stairs. Before they head back upstairs Dr. Oliver puts Tracy's morpher in to a case and it changed into a bracelet like the one he wore.

"Why don't you hold on to this for a while?" Dr. Oliver asks.

"I guess this means I'm officially a power ranger now." Tracy says.

"Yes. Yes it does. So, welcome to the team." Dr. Oliver says with a smile.

Chapter 4: Enter The Giganotsaurus

Normal POV

Dr. Oliver pulls up to the café in the jeep. Tracy undoes her seat belt and jumps out of her side of the jeep. She sees the gang walking up.

"Hey guys," Tracy says.

"You heard about this place from Hayley, right?" Ethan asks.

"Yup," she answers.

They walk inside and enter the main room. Tracy does a 360-degree turn to get a good look at the room. Then Hayley walks up.

"Hello again, Tracy, so what do you think?" Hayley asks.

"It's nice," Tracy answers.

"Hayley, you have to hear Tracy sing. She is really good." Kira brags.

"Kira, would you stop making a big deal of my ability to sing. I'm not as good as you are." Tracy says.

"Nice try, but I knew that you would say that," Kira says.

"Well, I guess I could sing one song I mean just for fun," Tracy says.

"Great. So what are you going to sing?" Hayley asks.

"'It's a surprise, but the only problem is the music is on my IPod," Tracy answers.

"No problem. I could just plug it into a laptop. Then the song will play through the speaker in the café." Hayley explains.

Tracy gives her IPod and the connect cable to Hayley. She plugs it into a laptop. Tracy goes over to her to pick a song. She picks a random song and hits play. She walk over to the stage and climb on it. Then "Good Girl" starts to look over at Kira and she mouths "knock em dead". Tracy smiles at her and starts to sing with the same amount of confidence she sang with in music class earlier today. When the song ends Tracy hears the roar of applause and loud whistles. She jump down from the stage and walks over to her friends.

"Kira was right," Ethan says.

"Yeah, Tracy you were great," Conner says.

"Imagine how it would sound if the two of them would sing together," Trent says.

"Yeah that would be one great show," Ethan adds.

"I can picture the poster "Tonight at Hayley's Cyberspace one night only the incredible signing duo of Kira Ford and Tracy Burlew." Trent continues.

Tracy lets out a loud whistle to silence everyone.

"Hey guys I appreciate what you are saying, but you make it sound like I have already agreed to do it," Tracy says.

Kira walks over and puts her hand on Tracy's shoulder. She looks over at her.

"Hey Tracy, what if I make you a deal," Kira says.

"I'm listening," Tracy says.

"What if we do just one rehearsal to see how we sound, and if you still don't want to do the show its ok." she offers.

"Well, that sounds good to me," Tracy says.

"Great I'll go tell the band." she says.

"Wait, you have a band?" Tracy asks in shock.

"Yes and we could cover some of the songs that you like." she says.

"Cool, I'll give you a song list at school tomorrow," Tracy says.

Kira nods. The gang leaves. Dr. Oliver, Hayley, and Tracy are standing in the room.

At Mesogog's Island fortress, Mesogog is talking with his henchman.

"Have you fools found my gem yet?" Mesogog asks.

"Yes my lord but I'm afraid a teenage girl found it," Elsa answers.

"Those blasted teenagers," Mesogog growls.

"I have finished the zord you asked for my lord," Zeltrax says.

"Good I'm sure that Dr. Oliver has taught the girl who found my gem how to become a Power Ranger, so let's go make her feel welcome," Mesogog says.

"Yes my lord." the two henchmen answer in unison.

Back in the city Kira and the gang are walking around when the sky turns black.

"Guys I have a bad feeling about this" Ethan says sensing déjá vu.

"I know Ethan. This is what happened when Mesogog released the zords the first time." Conner says.

Then the Gigantosaurus zord appears and starts to destroy the city.

"Looks like Mesogog made a new toy for us." Ethan jokes.

"No time for jokes Ethan. Come on guys, we have to stop that thing. You guys ready?" Conner says, as his bracelet turns into his morpher.

"Ready!" the others say as their bracelets do the same thing.

"Dino thunder power up!" Conner, Kira and Ethan yell.

"White ranger Dino power!" Trent yells.

"Hello rangers," Elsa says.

"Elsa what are you doing here?" Conner asks.

"I'm just doing my job red ranger Tyrnodrones attack!" Elsa answers.

The Tyrnodrones rush in.

"Man these things are tougher than the last time we battled them," Conner says.

Ethan calls for backup as talks into his morpher.

"Hey, Dr. O, we could use some dino help out here. Mesogog created a new zord and it is destroying the city." Ethan says.

"Got it, Ethan, we're on our way," Dr. Oliver says.

Dr. Oliver looks over at Tracy and sees a look of pure panic on her face.

"Tracy I know you're scared, but you are the only one person who can tame that zord. I know you can do this," he says.

"I'll go back to the lab to see what I can find out about our new friend," Hayley says.

"Thanks, Hayley," Dr. Oliver says.

Hayley locks up and Tracy and Dr. Oliver go off to help the others. They walk in and see the new zord.

"Okay, Dr. Oliver you sure that I can tame that thing? It's huge." Tracy says.

"Yes, you can. Your morpher will convey your thoughts to it," he explains.

Tracy speaks into her morpher and tries to tame the zord, but nothing happens.

"Dr. Oliver it's not working. Now, what?" Tracy says.

"Just keep trying." he says.

Tracy tries again but this time, when she speaks into her morpher to tame it, she feels a rush of electricity flow through it. She screams out in pain.

"Tracy, are you okay?" Dr. Oliver asks.

"Yes I'm fine, but why isn't this working?" Tracy asks.

"Because pink Ranger we programmed this zord so you can't turn it over to the good side," Elsa says.

Tracy hears her morpher chirp.

"Hayley," Tracy says.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that," Hayley says.

"What do you mean?" Tracy asks.

"All you need is to try a different wavelength." She explains.

"Hayley you don't mean?" Tracy asks.

"Yes, Tracy, you have to sing to break the sectary mechanism." she replies.

"No way. I'm not going to sing to some hunk of metal. I don't really need a zord do I?" Tracy complains.

"I guess your rangers friends will just have to destroy it to save the city, won't they?" Elsa says.

The Rangers call for the Megazord to stop the rogue zord from destroying the city.

"Tracy you have to sing. It's the only way." Hayley reminds her.

"I can't do it. Isn't there some other way to tame that thing." Tracy begs.

She wishes that there was another way. She looks up and sees the Gigantosaurus zord knocking the Thudersaurs to the ground. It stomps its foot down at Tracy's new friends.

"Guys, are you okay?" Tracy asks.

"Don't worry Tracy. We're fine, but the Thudersaurs can't take much more of this." Conner explains.

Tracy knows what she has to do to save her new friends and the city.

"Well here goes nothing." she says.

She starts to sing the first song that pops into her head 'The Climb'. Tracy looks up and sees that the zord is starting to calm down.

"Tracy, it's working - keep going," Conner encourages.

She continues to sing.

"That little brat is about to tame that zord. Tdrones get her," Elsa yells.

The t-drones come after her. Dr. Oliver stops them before they get too close.

"Tracy I can handle the tyrnodrones. You just keep doing what you're doing," he says.

She nods and continues to sing. When Tracy finishes the Zord turns from gray to pink and everything starts spinning around her.

"Wow I did it I..." she says weakly.

She drops to her knees and does her best to shake off the dizziness.

"I think I should get my master gem back now," Elsa says.

She runs over to Tracy and grabs her by the wrist.

"Sorry, girly, but pink is so last season," Elsa says smiling an evil smile.

"Well, whoever you are, I'll never give you the gem back," Tracy says, still trying to shake off the dizziness.

"I guess I should introduce myself. The name is Elsa," she says.

"Elsa, I think that Mesogog needs to find better help," Tracy says as she slowly starts to regain her vision.

"Why is that, ranger?" she asks.

"You are not a very good henchman considering you lost the gem in the first place," Tracy says.

Elsa draws out her sword.

"You are not in any position to be making a jokes pink ranger. Now give me the gem," she commands.

"First of all, that wasn't a joke, it was an opinion. Second I'll never give you the gem." Tracy snaps.

"Suit yourself ranger. I'll just have to destroy you." Elsa says.

Elsa throws her against the hits the wall hard. She lands on the ground demorphed. Elsa charges in full speed. At least that's what Tracy thought she sees. Everything is blurry again.

I guess this is my first and last battle as a power ranger. Tracy thought.

Then everything goes black. She can hear everything that is going on around her.

"I don't think so Elsa," Dr. Oliver protests.

He uses his Bracho Staff to block her sword. Then he does a down kick to push her back.

"This isn't over power rangers. Your new friend may have tamed the zord. She'll never be able to control the power that the zord has within." Elsa yells, as she escapes through an Invisa-Portal.

Dr. Oliver demorphs and turns around to see Tracy lying on the ground. He runs over to her and bends down.

"Tracy, are you okay?" he asks as he tries to wake her up.

Tracy slowly wakes up. She tries to get back to her feet. She feels her body shake like a leaf every time she moves a muscle. Dr. Oliver helps Tracy back to her feet. She takes one step and her body gives out right then and there. Dr. Oliver catches her in his arms before she hits the ground.

"Thanks, Dr. Oliver. I guess I'm not a very good ranger after all." She says sadly.

"Don't say that. You were amazing," he says.

The other rangers run up in civilian form.

"Dr. O is right," Conner says.

"Thanks, guys," Tracy says with a smile on her face.

"You've proven something today," Ethan says.

"What was that Ethan?" she asks.

"That music has the power to tame a 20 story mechanical dino and save the city - all at the same time." he answers

"Hey, Ethan leave the jokes to the professional. I hope that I will never have to do that ever again." Tracy says.

She drifts into dreamland a few seconds later.

"Tracy!" Kira shouts.

"Don't worry, Kira, she's just exhausted. Come on let's take her back to the lab." Dr. Oliver says.

Conner takes Tracy out of Dr. Oliver's arms and puts her on his back and they head for the lab. Hayley sets up a cot in the far corner of the lab for Tracy. Dr. Oliver and the team enter. Dr. Oliver walks over to it and Hayley follows suit. She takes Tracy off his back and lays her down gently. Dr. Oliver slides Tracy's glasses off her face and puts them in his jacket pocket. They walk back to the middle of the room.

"Hayley, how did you know that if Tracy sang the zord would calm down?" Conner asks.

"Actually I didn't," Hayley answers.

The whole team gasps in disbelief.

"You're kidding right?" Ethan asks.

"I'm not Ethan. I noticed that the usual taming method wasn't working when I was looking at the schematics of the zord. The shock that Tracy felt the second time she tried to tame the zord would have kept getting stronger and stronger each time." She explains.

"If Tracy continued to tame the zord using telepathy she could be in worse shape than she is now," Ethan says very concerned.

"Yes," she says.

"Why did you tell her to sing?" Dr. Oliver asks.

"That was the only thing I could think of at the time." she says, telling him the truth.

"OK well it's getting late I think we could all use some shut-eye." he says.

Everyone says their goodbyes and walk up the stairs. Dr. Oliver walks back over to the cot and picks up Tracy and carries her to the guest room. He sets her down on the bed, drapes the blanket at the end of the bed over her. Then he walks over the desk, takes Tracy's glasses out of his pocket, sets them on the desk, and leaves the room to get some rest himself.

Chapter 6: Pre Birthday Gifts

Tracy's POV

Kira and I are at the cyberspace doing a run through for the concert tomorrow.

"Tracy, you excited?" Kira asks.

"More like nervous," I answer.

"Remember I'm going to be there on stage with you." she reminds me.

"Right," I say.

The band starts to play "Good Girl". The song ends. Kira told the band to head back home to rest up for the concert tomorrow.

"Hey Tracy, that was great." She compliments.

"Thanks, Kira. I just hope it will sound that good at the concert." I say.

"Don't sell yourself short, ok? The concert will be amazing." She says.

Then I see Mike walking over with a smoothie in his hand.

"Hey, Kira how long has Mike been here?" I whisper/ask her.

"Not too long, I think Hayley let him in when we were practicing." She answers.

"Great," I say sarcastically.

"Good luck." She says slyly.

"Wait, where are you going, you can't…" I say.

Normal POV

Kira walks over to Hayley.

"Kira what are you planning?" Hayley asks.

"Just watch and find out." She answers.

Mike hands the smoothie to Tracy. She thanks him.

"I guess you heard that last song huh?" Tracy asks.

"I never knew that you sing like an angel," Mike says.

"Thanks that's really sweet," Tracy says.

Tracy takes a sip of the smoothie.

"I have something that I want to ask you." he says.

"What is it?" Tracy asks as she takes another sip.

"Would you be my date to the homecoming dance next Saturday?" he asks.

Tracy starts to choke on the smoothie.

"You okay?" he asks.

"Yes and you really want to go with me?" she says.

"Yes, I do. Why are you so surprised?" he asks.

Tracy sets the smoothie down on the table.

"You are such a sweet guy. I never thought someone like you would ever want to go the dance with someone like me," she answers.

"Why not you are smart, funny, really talented." he compliments.

"I'm not that smart," she says.

"I forgot modest too." he adds.

She chuckles a little.

"And have a really cute laugh." he continues.

"Are you done complimenting me yet?" Tracy asks.

"Yes, considering I can't think of anything right now." He admits.

"Mike, I have one more thing I want to say to you before I answer your question," Tracy says as she takes a deep breath.

Tracy's POV

"What is it?" he asks.

"I really like you," I say.

"I really like you too." He says.

We stand laughing for a few minutes.

"So will you go to homecoming with me?" he asks again.

"Sure, but there is only one problem," I say.

"What's that?" he asks.

"I can't dance," I admit.

"That makes two of us." he jokes.

Mike moves closer and our eyes meet for the first time. I feel his lips press against mine. I never felt something like this before and the spark is so strong. I feel the butterflies in my stomach flutter like crazy. I just ignore them.

"So this is what a first kiss is supposed to feel like." I think to myself.

When the kiss ends Mike and I have a big smile on our faces.

"Well I guess I'll see you later angel." he says sweetly.

"Wow, I have a pet name already. Boy, you work fast, don't you?" I say.

"Yes, I'll see you at the concert tomorrow night." he says.

I nod and he turns around to leave. I sit down at the table to finish the smoothie Mike gave me. Hayley and Kira walk over to me.

"Hey, guys," I say.

"So Tracy was I right about Mike?" Kira asks.

"Yes Kira," I answer.

Then I hear my phone go off I take it out of my purse to answer it.

"Hey Sweetie" my mom's voice came from the other end.

"Hey mom, what's the scoop?" I ask.

"Your dad and I have an early birthday present for you." She answers.

"Early birthday present, really?" I say happily.

"Yes so when are you coming home?" she asks.

"We just finished up. I'm heading there now." I tell her.

"Good. See you soon," she says.

I hang up and put my phone back in my purse.

"Wait, tomorrow's your birthday? Why didn't you tell us?" Kira asks.

"You never asked," I say.

Hayley could tell if Kira keeps asking me any more questions. I'm going to explode from excitement. She offers to give me a ride to my place.

Hayley, Kira, and I pull up into the driveway in Hayley's car. The first thing I see is a yellow Chevrolet Malibu parked next to my mom's car. My mom is standing next to it. I get out of Hayley's car. I run over her and give her a bear hug

"Thank you, mom," I say.

"I take it you like your gift?" my mom says.

"Yes, this is the best birthday present ever," I say.

"Why don't you take it for a spin around the block?" She offers.

"Can I?" I ask.

"Sure go for it." she says.

Mom hands me the keys to my car. I walk over to my new car. I unlock the driver's side door and climb inside. I put the key in the ignition and start it up. The engine purrs like a kitten and I roll down the window. I buckle myself in and put it in reverse. I slowly back out of the driveway, put it in drive. I drive away, my mom can hear the shrieks of delight as the car fades from sight.

Chapter 7: The Birthday concert

Tracy's POV

Kira and I are standing next to the stage as we watch the crowd file in.

"You ready to rock?" Kira asks.

"I think so." I answer.

"Remember, you are not alone up there. Try to relax and have fun." She says.

"I will. Thanks, Kira" I say.

I turn around and the rest of the band gives me a thumbs up. Hayley walks up to the mic.

"Well here they are, Tracy Burlew and Kira Ford." Hayley announces.

The sound of a loud applause fills the room as we walk onto the stage. The band starts to play "Brand New Day" by Demi Lovato. I start to sing. When the song ends, the room fills with applause again. The band starts to play the next song, 'Play My Music' by the Jonas Brothers. When the song ends, the room fills with loud cheers.

"Thanks everyone I just wanted to say something. Even though I have been in Reefside only a few days, this place has started to grow on me. The truth is, I still miss everyone back in Michigan, so this song is for them." I announce.

The band stats to play " Wherever I go". I start to sing with a lot of emotion. When the song ends I look into the crowd and see some of the teenagers all choked up. When the band starts to play "Good Girl" the mood of the room changes in the blink of an eye. A loud applause rings through the room as the song ends. The band starts to play the last song "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus. When the song ends the room fills with applause and whistling. A few minutes later the crowd starts to file out of the café. I jump down off the stage and walk over to the gang.

"Tracy, you were amazing." Conner says.

"Thanks Conner, but I wish Mike could have heard it." I say.

"I did hear it angel." Mike says.

The gang steps to the side and I see Mike standing in the back of the room. I run over to him and give him a big hug.

"I thought you said that you were going to be in the front row." I say.

"Sorry, Angel, I tried but when I got here the room was already packed." Mike says.

Then he makes a dozen roses appear out of thin air. He hands me the roses.

"Your forgiven Mikey. I didn't know you were a magician." I say.

"Everyone has a hidden talent." he says.

"Whatever you say Mikey. They are beautiful." I say.

"How about I take you out to dinner?" he asks.

"I could eat." I say.

Mike chuckles at my last statement and we leave the café, hand in hand.

Chapter 8: Super Dino Day

Tracy's POV

My old karate teacher called me yesterday. He said that he was coming next Friday to test me for my black belt. I'm very nervous because I haven't practiced since becoming a ranger. Kira texted me to tell me that the team is meeting for a training session in the woods outside of town. I put my phone in my pocket and head out to the woods.

Dr. Oliver's POV

I call the others ranger and tell them to meet in at the woods outside of town. While Ethan and Conner are sparing I look over towards Tracy. I see her pacing back and forth looking very nervous.

"Tracy, are you going to join us?" I ask.

"Oh yeah. I was just thinking about something." she answers.

While she is sparing with Trent, I can see that she has some karate experience because she is doing moves only someone with a brown belt would know. A few minutes later she pins Trent to the ground.

"Did you know that Tracy could fight like that?" Conner asks.

"Nope, I'm just as surprised as you." Ethan answers.

"Tracy, you can let him up now." I tell her.

She offers Trent her hand and she helps him back to his feet.

"Tracy, do you have a black belt in karate?" Conner asks.

"Sorry to disappoint you, Conner, I'm a first degree brown belt." she answers.

"Wow, Tracy that great." I compliment.

"Thanks Dr.O. I'm really nervous about next Friday, though." She says.

"Why?" I ask.

"My old karate teacher will be flying in next Friday to test for my black belt." she answers.

"Isn't that good?" Conner asks.

"Yes, but there is no way I'll be ready in time." she answers.

"You will be," I say.

"How, Dr. O?" she asks.

"Because I'll help you get ready. I am a 5th degree black belt myself." I answer.

"Really, you would do that for me." she says.

I nod. Conner asks her if we get to see her break boards. Tracy says that she doesn't know if she can still do that. I tell her that there is only one way to find out. I walk to the jeep and take a board off the floor in front the back seat. Then I walk back over to them with the board in my right hand.

"Tracy, are you ready?" I ask.

"As ready as I'm going to be." She answers.

I hold the board up and nod. She let out a "kiai" and as her hand struck the board and broke it in half.

"Well at least I still can break a board." she says.

"How does the test for your black belt even work?" Conner asks.

"Let's see, I have to do a lot a katas and some other things too that I can't remember off the top of my head." she answers.

"Is a black belt test usually this hard?" Conner asks.

"Yes Conner, that's the point. Getting your black belt is a huge deal." she answers.

"Didn't your teacher give you a list of things he expects you to know?" he asks.

"Yeah. he did. I forgot I put it in my bag." she tells him.

She walks over to the tree where she left her book bag. She opens the front pocket and takes the list out. She walks back over to Conner and hands him the list.

"Wow, you have a lot of work to do." he says.

"Thank you, captain obvious." Tracy says sarcastically.

Then a bunch t-drones and Elsa show up.

"Hello rangers, I hope I'm not interrupting anything." Elsa says.

"Elsa, give up. You'll never get the gems back." Tracy says confidently.

"Think again ranger girl. T-drones attack." Elsa yells.

The t-drones rush in and as Tracy battles the t-drones, she does a perfect tornado kick, knocking several of them to the ground.

"Well I guess I still got It." she says.

"Rangers, you may have handled the t-drones but how will you handle this?" Elsa says.

Mesogog newest creature appears. We morph and battle the monster.

Tracy's POV

This battle is taking a lot longer than it usually does and I'm starting to get tired.

"Aw does the pink ranger need a nap." Elsa taunts.

I feel a sudden rush of power, spikes appear on my uniform.

"Hey guys check it out. Tracy just got her super dino powers." Ethan says.

I attack the monster and cause some major damage. Elsa and the monster escape back to Mesogog's lab through an Invisi-Portal. We all demorph and head back to the lab. We're sitting in the lab. I'm trying to figure out what happened to me during the battle.

"Dr. Oliver, what was with the sudden rush of power?" I ask.

"That was your super dino powers." he answers.

"Ok that's cool. I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but when do I get bike? Not that I don't like riding double Trent on his ATV. No offense." I say.

"None taken" Trent replies.

"Hayley is working on it now." Dr. Oliver tells me.

"Sweet," I say happily.

"I know this is random. Tracy did you forget that the homecoming dance is this Saturday?" Conner asks.

"Thanks for adding more stress to my schedule Conner." I snap.

I start to think about homecoming at my old school. I'm going to miss spirit week and the pep rally on Friday before the big homecoming football game against our rival school. I wish I was still there with them. I'm not just going to miss homecoming with all my old friends, Winterfest, all the other spirit week, getting to vote for our senior song, being the first to get a sneak peek at the year book, and missing out on the senior prank (not like I would be the one to actually be there when even one else is pulling it off or anything). Conner waves his hand in front of my face.

"Tracy, earth to Tracy." Conner says.

"Sorry guys, I was just thinking about my old school again." I say.

Then the computer scene starts to light up "Incoming video message" appears on the scene. Dr. Oliver presses "enter" on the keyboard and I see Sarah's face on the scene.

"Hey T-dawg." she says.

"Hi Sarah, how's JHS holding up without me?" I ask.

"It's doing all right but the hallways aren't the same without your smiling face." she answers.

"Thanks, Sarah. So, anything interesting happen since I left?" I ask.

"There was a huge food fight in the cafeteria and several kids got suspended." she replies.

"Wow, it was that bad," I say.

"Yes. How is Reefside High?" she asks.

"It's nice" I answer.

"What about your new man?" she asks with a smile.

"How did you know about that?" I ask.

"I got in touch with your friend Kira on Facebook and she kind of told me." she answers

"Oh I'll tell you about him later I promise." I tell her.

"I hate to cut this conversation short, but I really should get back to doing my homework. Tracy remember." she says.

"VICTORY that's senior battle cry." we say together.

We wave goodbye as she signs off. I look over at my new friends.

"You guys planed this, didn't you?" I ask.

"Actually it was Hayley's idea. We just helped it along." Ethan answers.

"Well, thanks. That it the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me." I tell them.

Normal POV

"Tracy, I'm glad to see the smile back on your face again," Dr. Oliver says.

"Thanks Dr. O, but I better head to the mall." she says.

"Why?" Conner asks.

"So I can buy a new dress to wear to homecoming, of course." she answers.

Hayley walks in with a remote in her hand.

"Tracy, before you go I think there is something you might want to see this first." Hayley says.

Hayley presses a button on the remote and one of the walls in the HQ opened up, revealing the pink raptor cycle.

"Thanks Hayley." Tracy says.

"You're welcome. I'm just doing my job." Hayley replies.

Tracy heads back upstairs and goes out to her car. Hayley follows behind her. Hayley asks if she could tag along to help her pick out a dress. Tracy has no arguments and tells her to get in. They both drive off to the mall.

Hayley's POV

I know that Tracy is happy to have another girl with her to help her pick out a dress. Tracy opens the dressing room door. She walks out in a fuchsia gown with pink roses going down the right side and sliver sequins around the bust area.

"What do you think?" She asks.

"It's beautiful. Tracy, you look like a princess." I tell her.

"Thanks Hayley" she says.

She turns around to look at herself in the mirror. She seems happy with it.

"What's wrong you don't like it?" I ask.

"I do. It's just that I kind of hoped that my mom would be here to help me." she answers.

Tracy's smile turns upside down, so I walk over to her. I place my hand on her shoulder.

"Just think of how happy your mom will be when she see you on homecoming night." I remind her.

She smiles again and we continue shopping. She tries on two other dresses. One is baby blue. The shirt is puffy and has sliver glitter along the bottom. That kind of looks like it's sprinkled with fairy dust. The second one was gold one shouldered and had sequins zig zagged down the dress.

"Which one are you going to get?" I ask.

"I don't know. I can't decide." she answers.

I have a feeling that she is going to pick the fuchsia dress. We walk to the checkout line and Tracy has the pink dress in her hands.

"Nice choice" the cashier says.

"Thank you" she says with a smile.

Tracy hands the cashier the money for the dress and we leave the store.

Chapter 10: Black Belt Test

Dr. OIiver's POV

I have spent the past week helping Tracy prepare for her black belt test. I am amazed at how fast she seems to 'relearn' the things she thought she had forgotten. Tracy amazes herself, too, when she notices how her stamina has improved over the course of the week. Today is the day she has anticipated and she felt that she is ready. She spent the night last night, so I walk to the guest room. I knock on the door and don't get a response from Tracy on the other side. I slowly open the door to see her still completely comatose on the bed. I walk over to the bed and try to wake her up.

"Hey there future black belt. Rise and shine." I say smiling.

"How do you know I'm going to get my black belt?" she questioned me still half asleep.

"I just know. Now, it's time to get ready for school." I say.

I watch her wipe the sleep from her eyes. She slowly gets out of bed and I notice she is favoring her right shoulder a little. I ask her what is wrong. She tells me that she just slept on it wrong. I leave the room so she can change into her outfit for school. A few minutes later she comes downstairs with her book bag in her left hand. She is wearing a shirt that says 'I'm too pretty to do math' and a pair of jean shorts. We eat a quick breakfast and head to Reefside High.

Tracy's POV

I get out of my car and as I close the driver's side door the pain in right shoulder returns worse than before, I just ignore it, I sling my book bag on my back. I walk into the school and get to my locker. I notice a rose taped to the door and a necklace (with a heart pendant and my birthstone outlining the outside of it) wrapped around the handle.

"Mike" I whisper.

I remove the rose from the door. A small card falls to the floor as the rose comes completely off the door. I set my bag down and set the rose on top of it. I pick up the card and read it. "Tracy, I'm sorry I missed your birthday last week so happy belated birthday. Don't worry about homecoming tomorrow. P.S. good luck on your black belt test too. Love Mike". I close the card with a smile on my face. I unravel the necklace from the handle and put it into my pocket before I open my locker to put everything away except for my science book.

I close my locker and turn around to head to class. I'm incredibly nervous about my black belt test after school. I don't see Mike come up behind me.

"Hey Darling, did you like your surprise this morning?" he asks.

I jump and drop my book. I quickly turn around to face him. I place my hand over my heart and feel my racing pulse. He picks up my book.

"Sorry angel, I didn't mean to startle you like that." He apologizes.

"It's okay and I loved your surprise - especially the necklace," I say calmly with a smile.

I take it out of my pocket and try to put it on. I'm having a tough time so Mike hands me my book. I give him the necklace. He drapes the necklace around my neck and clips the two sides of the chain together. He let the chain drop off his fingertips and it seemed to melt into my chest perfectly.

"We better get to class before we're late." He says.

I look at my watch and noticed that he was right. We dash to class hand in hand. The school day seems to drag on today. I'm sitting in English class waiting for the bell to ring. I'm tapping my fingers on my desk to kill time after Miss Drew collected the Romeo and Juliet books from the class. Mike places his hand on top of mine to stop me from tapping.

"Relax angel, I have seen you practice in the woods with Dr. Oliver and you'll do fine," Mike says.

"I hope you're right Mikey. I have to head to the karate school right after the last bell." I say.

He asks me if it is alright if he comes to watch. I think that it will be a good idea, so I tell him sure. A few minutes later the bell finally rings and I pack my things to leave the room.

MIke's POV

I feel weird driving Tracy's car to the karate school, but she changed into her karate uniform which meant she didn't want to drive (the real reason was she was just too nervous to drive). We pull to the school and see Dr. Oliver standing next to his jeep. I put the car in park and turn it off. We exit the vehicle. Tracy stands in a very tense stance. I touch her right shoulder. She winces in pain.

"Are you ok?" I ask.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Tracy says.

The three of us walk inside the school.

Tracy's POV

I walk into the testing area and see Master Jason. He walks over to Dr. Oliver and gives a friendly hug.

"Tommy Oliver, is that really you?" Master Jason asks.

"In the flesh. It's great to see you too Jason." Dr. Oliver answers.

I look over at Mike. He has a star-struck fan look on his face after he hears my master name. I waved my hand in front of his face. Mike stands like that for a few minutes and I was getting sick of it. I jab my elbow into his gut. I hear him let out a groan of pain. He catches his breath a few seconds later.

"What was that for?" he snaps.

"To get you back to reality," I say with a smile.

"Did you have to hit me that hard?" he asks.

"Mike, honey, that jab wasn't even at full strength," I admit trying to keep a straight face.

Dr. O. and Master Jason spends a few minutes going down memory lane. I can't believe everything that I am hearing. I didn't know that my science teacher was a power ranger legend. I get so distracted by all the stories. I forget how nervous I am about my test. Mike looks over at me. He can tell that I'm more relaxed than before. I let them catch up while I go off to the far corner to stretch out again. After they finish their stories about ten minutes later the test begins.

The kata part goes well. I remember everything. The next part is board breaking. Master Jason sets up a cement block in the middle of the room and places six boards on top. I'm unsure if I could break that many at once. The most I ever broke during practice is five. I take a deep breath to focus and let out a loud kiai as my hand strikes the boards. I look down at the boards and see all of them broken in half. I look over at Mike and he gives me a thumbs up with a smile on his face. I'm nervous about the last part of the test which is sparing. I figure that I will have to spare Master Jason. He says that he would like me to spare against Dr. Oliver.

Dr. Oliver and I step to the center of the mat and we bow to each other before the match commences. I'm doing well until he does a move I hadn't see before. I'm unable to block it and he knocks me down on mat. My right shoulder hits the mat hard and the pain is more than I can tolerate. I must have blacked out because that is the last thing I remember.

Dr. Oliver's POV

I am waiting for Tracy to get back to her feet, but she hasn't moved in two minutes. I walk over to her and notice her motionless on the mat.

"Tracy are you all right" I ask her trying to wake her up.

I don't get a response, and Jason ran over to us. He suggests we take her to the hospital so Jason picks her up carefully and carries her to my jeep. He lays her down in the back seat. Jason gets into his car. Mike gets into the passenger seat of the jeep. We rush to the ER. We arrive at the ER twenty minutes later. Mike picks Tracy up carefully and carries her in. I see a look of pure worry on his face.

"Don't worry Mike, she'll is going to alright" I say.

We walk through the double doors. I tell the doctor what happened. The nurse takes Tracy out of Mike's arms and sets her on the stretcher. They wheel her away into the examination room. We are waiting for the doctor to come out to tell us about Tracy's condition. A woman around the age of 35 walks over to me. She has jade-colored eyes, cream colored skin, and long luxurious, straight brown hair.

"Hello I'm Harmony. You must me my niece's science teacher." she says.

"Yes, I am Dr. Oliver." I say.

I ask her if the hospital had contacted Tracy's parents to tell them what was going on. She tells me the hospital did, but their bosses said that they couldn't come until their next break. Tracy's mom called her and told her to come instead. I'm shocked at the kind of bosses Tracy's parents had to work for. The four of us continue to wait for the doctor.

Ten minutes later the doctor finally walks out. He has hooded brown eyes that are like two acorn, chocolate brown skin, and silky, curly, short dark chocolate hair. He has a full beard and a prominent moustache.

"Hello, I'm Dr. Erik Zimmerman." Erik says.

"How is she doc?" Mike asks.

"She just woke up but we want to keep her overnight for observation." Erik explains.

"What was wrong with her?" Mike asks.

"She fractured her clavicle and strained a few tendons in her right shoulder as well." Erik answers.

"Can we see her?" Mike asks.

"Mike, stop badgering the doctor." I tell him.

"It's all right I'm used to this happening to me. Yes, follow me. I'll show you to her room." Erik says calmly.

Tracy's POV

I wake up in a hospital bed with my right arm in a sling and an IV needle in my left arm. My head is a little foggy. I look to my left and I see Mike's face.

"Hey there, how are you feeling?" he asks.

"OK I guess, but why am I in the hospital? The last thing I remember is sparing with Dr. O." I reply.

"You blacked out after he hit you with his blazing fast kick. I'm positive that you're going to get your black belt." He says with a smile.

Mike runs his fingers through my hair. I know he is just trying to make me feel better.

"I doubt it Mike. It looks like I'm just going to have to wait till next year to try again." I say sadly.

"You won't have to wait that long Tracy." Master Jason says.

He enters the room with a frame in his hand, face down.

"What do you mean Master Jason?" I ask confused.

He goes over to my bed and hands me the frame. He tells me to turn the frame over. I turn it over and inside is my black belt certificate.

"I don't understand. Didn't I lose the match against Dr. Oliver.?" I ask.

"Yes, but during the match you showed great strength and mastery of the skills needed to earn your black belt." Jason tells me.

"Thank you so much sir. Where is the belt?" I ask.

He tells me that he will present me with my belt once I'm released. The next morning back at the Karate school I was so happy that all my friends and family had come to see me get my black belt. I stand in the front of the room in my Karate uniform (the right arm dangled to one side because of my sling). A few minutes later Master Jason walks into the room with the black belt in his hand.

"Tracy, please step forward. Today is one day that every master looks forward to. The day he gets to give one of his students a black belt." he says proudly.

After he does the traditional motion with the belt, as he has with every student once they advanced in rank. He asks Dr. Oliver to help me untie my brown belt and to replace it with my black belt. He asks me to turn around so that I face everyone who showed up today. Everyone claps as I look over at my parents. I see tears of joy flowing from their eyes.

Well I did it. This is one of the best days of my life.

I turn back around to face master Jason and Dr. Oliver. He hands me back my brown belt. all folded up neatly. I bow to him.

"Thank you for helping me get ready for my test. If it weren't for you, this never would have happened." I mouth to him.

Then I bow to master Jason and give him a look to thank him for everything he did during my training over the years.

Chapter 11: The Homecoming Dance

Tracy's POV

I wish that I hadn't fractured my clavicle the day before the homecoming dance. Now my dress wasn't going to look as pretty on me as it did when I tried it on in the store. I was at Hayley's sitting at one of the tables near the stage listening to Kira play a new song. The truth of the matter was, I was only half listening because my mind was still stuck on the dance later today. After she finishes the song she walks over to me.

"So, what do you think?" She asks.

"It was great," I answer.

"You weren't listening at all were you?" she asks.

"No, I'm sorry Kira. I guess I'm still nervous about the dance tonight." I answer honestly.

Kira tells me that she isn't mad at me because she knows that this is my first time going to a dance with a date.

A few days ago Miss May had informed that I was singing the solo in the concert for the entire student body next week. I figured that I should practice the song I was going to sing for the concert. I found the cords for a song from one of my favorite movies when I was a little kid.

I ask Kira if she could play the guitar for me because I have tried to play the guitar before, but it was more difficult than I originally thought. She says that she would love to. I take the sheet music out of the folder then hand it to her. We walk back up to the stage. Kira starts to play "It Takes All Sorts" from The Land Before Time IV. I start to sing after Kira plays the intro.

As Kira plays the last note I hear the sound of faint applause. I see the gang standing in front of the stage. I hop down from the stage and walk over to them.

"I never heard that song before," Conner says.

"That's because it's from a movie you never heard of The Land Before Time," I say with a smile.

"So, are you still going to the dance tonight?" Conner asks.

"I don't know. You have to wait and see." I answer.

I am happy that my mom found some bandages that are the same color as my dress. I'm standing in front of the mirror in the bathroom to check my hair for the fourth time. Mom walks into the room a few seconds later. She tells me that I look really pretty. I thank her. Then we hear the doorbell ring.

"Wow, Mike is right on time," I say.

Mom leaves the room to go downstairs to let him in.

Mike's POV

I'm very nervous as the front door to Tracy's house opens. Tracy's mom invites me in. I slowly walk into the house and compliment how beautiful the interior is. Tracy's mom accepts the compliment and calls up the stairs.

"Tracy, come on down." Tracy's mom calls.

"I'm coming, mom." I hear Tracy call back down the stairs.

I stand at the bottom of the stairs waiting for Tracy to come down. A few seconds later I see Tracy walk down the stairs in a fuchsia gown with pink roses going down the right side with silver sequins around the bust area. Her hair is up in a bun but had a few curls hanging down on either side of her face.

"Wow, you look beautiful," I say with a smile.

"Really, Mike?" She asks smiling back.

"Yes," I reply.

"Mike, I wasn't sure if I was going to go to the dance at all." She admits.

"Why?"I ask.

"I thought that I wouldn't look that pretty in my dress because of my bad shoulder." She replies.

"Listen, Tracy, you will always be the most beautiful girl in my eyes because you always let the person you are on the inside shine, through," I tell her.

I see the smile return to her face. We start to leave the house, but Tracy's mom stops us for a picture. We let her take a few pictures. After the photo-op, Tracy's mom hands Tracy her purse and we walk out to the car.

Tracy's POV

We pull into the parking lot as Mike puts the car in park. He removes the keys from the ignition and looks over at me. He sees me playing with my hair and he takes a hold of my left hand. He kisses my hand.

"Relax, angel, tonight fun - remember." he says.

"You're right Mike, shall we?" I ask.

"We shall," he says.

Mike gets out of the driver's side of the car. He walks around the front of the car to open the passenger side door. He offers me his right hand to help me out of the car. I place my hand in his and he helps me out of the car. I stand next to him as he closes the door behind me. We walk into the school and enter the cafeteria. It looks even prettier than I expected. Conner and the rest of the gang walk up. The boys are wearing tuxes. Kira is in a sunshine yellow dress.

"Wow, Tracy you look amazing." Trent compliments.

I thank him and began to have a flashback from the homecoming dance back at my old school. Conner waves his hand in front of my face. A few seconds later I come back to reality.

"Sorry guys. I was doing it again, wasn't I?" I ask.

"Yeah, but it's okay you've only been at Reefside High about four weeks. We're not mad at you if you're still a little homesick." Kira says.

I thank her for what she says and the DJ play the first song "In Da Club" by 50 Cent. A bunch of kids go onto the dance floor and begin to dance. The night goes on and the following song were played." Dare (Soulwax Remix)" by Gorillaz, "Sexy Back" by Justin Timberlake, "Rock Your Body, Rock" by Ferry Corsten, "Faster Kill *****cat " by Oakenfold, and "Dragostea Din Tei" by O-Zone. The DJ starts to play a slow song and Mike asks if I want to dance. I take his hand and he leads me onto the dance floor. I'm a better dancer than I think because I didn't trip over my own feet or, his, for that matter.

"See I knew you could dance" Mike whispers into my ear.

"You are not too bad yourself " I whisper back.

Normal POV

After the song ends Tessa Carney, the student council president, walks on o the stage. She is slightly above average height, has very long, red hair and dark hazel eyes. She is in a red strapless mesh peacock dress. Everyone turns around to face the stage.

"Okay everyone, it's time to announce the Reefside High class of 2004 homecoming queen," Tessa says.

Bryce Gardner, the vice-president, hands her the envelope with the winner's name in it. The DJ presses a button on the DJ table and a drum roll starts to play through the speakers. Tessa slowly opens the envelope. She takes the piece of paper out of it and places it on top of the envelope.

"The winner is Tracy Burlew. Come on up her girl." Tessa says with a smile.

"Tracy, don't just stand there like a deer in the headlights. Go up on stage already." Mike says.

He gives Tracy a gentle shove. She walks up on the stage towards Tessa. She places the tiara on Tracy's head and gently drapes the sash over her chest. She turns around to face the crowd. She hears her friends above all the other student's cheers.

Tracy's POV

I can't believe that I won. I never even got voted on the homecoming court back home. After the cheers die down the DJ played another song 'I Like To Move It' and everyone starts to dance again. The dance continues and I'm having a lot of fun. The DJ plays the last song, 'Unchained Melody'. All of the couples walk on the dance floor to dance the last dance. Mike and I walk on the dance floor again to dance one last time. I still can't believe that tonight is one of the best nights of my life (well my first concert at Hayley's comes pretty close too).

Everyone starts to file out of the cafeteria. I ask Kira to take one last picture of Mike and I. Kira takes the camera from me so Mike and I can get into place. Then she presses the button on the camera and it flashes twice. When the picture appears on the view screen all Kira could say is "Aw, that's a perfect picture of you two." I thank her for taking the picture.

Mike and I leave to go out to his car. He opens the passenger side door and I set my purse on the seat. I turn around to face him before getting into the car. The next thing I know his lips are pressing against mine and we share our second kiss. But, to me it felt just like the first. When we back away from each other I see a huge smile on Mike's face.

"I guess that was a congratulatory kiss." I joke.

Normal POV

He laughs at her joke (She love hearing his laugh. It's so cute). After he finishes laughing I turn back around and get into the car. He closes the door after I'm completely in the car. He walks around the front of the car and this time he's not as graceful as before and he trips over his own two feet. He uses the hood ornament to catch himself. When he looks back into the car he sees me trying my best to keep a straight face. Then he gets into the driver's side and we buckle up. He starts the car and we drive away, both feeling like we are on top of the world.

Chapter 12: Softball Team Tryouts

Tracy's POV

The tryouts for the school softball team are tomorrow. I spent the past few weeks preparing for them. Conner helped me improve my running speed and taught me how to slide (by teaching me a sliding tackle on the soccer field). Trent and Ethan helped me with my fielding. I drove to batting cages to improve my swing. The one thing that bugged me is that Mesogog hadn't sent a monster to attack the city in a while. I decide to ignore it and focus on getting ready for the tryout.

Conner, Ethan, Trent, and I are at the ball diamond behind the school for one last practice round. Ethan is the catcher, Conner the pitcher and Trent manned the outfield. I stand at home plate waiting for Conner to pitch the baseball. He throws the ball and it comes right down the middle of the plate. I wait for the ball to come to me as it came closer I swing the bat. I can tell from the sound when the bat makes contact with the ball that it's a good hit. I watch as Trent back pedals to field the ball, but the ball goes over his head. He stops and turns around to see the ball going over the fence.

Dr. Oliver's POV

I walk up from the visitor's side dugout. Tracy walks over to me.

"Nice hit." I compliment.

"Thanks, Dr. O.," she says.

"I think you're ready for the tryout tomorrow," I say.

"I hope you're right Dr. O.," she says not sounding all too confident.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"It's just that every time I've tried out for the team at my old school, the coach's always turn me down because of my size. They never judge me by my skill. I'm hoping that the coaches here won't act like the coaches back there." she answers.

"Just believe in yourself and give it everything you can. The coaches will be surprised by what they will see." I say.

She nods and packs up her things to head home to get some rest.

Normal POV

The next day after school Tracy walks up to the ball diamond ready to show the coaches what she can do. The first part of the tryout is fielding. The assistant coach, Samuel Bueno, asks the girls to line up at shortstop. Samuel Bueno is tall and average with even features, very short, reddish-brown hair and dark green eyes.

Tracy is first in line. She stands on the balls of her feet ready for anything. Coach Bueno tosses the ball into the air and Tracy watches as the bat makes contact. The ball rolls towards her and Tracy charges towards it. She fields the ball. She moves the ball from her glove to her throwing hand so effortlessly that the coaches can barely see it happening. She sets her feet and throws a strike to first base. Sammy and Zoey are third and fourth in line. Sammy Hayes is slightly above average height, has long, straight, strawberry blonde hair and pale green eyes. Zoey Bueno is just below average height, has long, straight, dark red hair, and blue-green eyes.

"Wow, that girl is good, " Sammy says.

"Yeah, right. She just got lucky that's all." Zoey says.

Five minutes later the fielding part is over and batting part has begun. Tracy is the last one to bat. She thinks of it as saving the best for last. Coach Burns is below average height, has very short, curly, red hair, and blue-green eyes. He has a pitching machine set up at the pitcher's mound. He feeds the first ball to the machine and Tracy waits for it to come to the plate. She swings the bat with everything she has. The ball goes into deep center field, but Destiny Gray catches the ball. (Destiny is below average height and thin with plain features, very short, pale brown hair, and green eyes.) Tracy still had a few more attempts before she has to run. The next ball she hits drops into right field in a spot where Zoey can't catch it.

"Live ball." Coach Burns says.

He feeds the ball into the machine. After the bat makes contact with the ball Tracy sprints off to first. The ball lands up against the wall in right field. Tracy rounds the bag and sprints to second. Tracy sees out the corner of her eye that Zoey is having trouble fielding the ball. She decides to go for three. Charlie is playing shortstop. She is very tall and lanky with round features, short, pale red hair and brown eyes. Zoey throws the ball to her and she throws it to third. The third base coach motions for Tracy to slide. Tracy mentally pictures herself back on the soccer field and does a perfect sliding tackle into the bag.

After the dust clears, the coach says the she is safe - but barely. Coach Burns calls the girls in to take a breather while he decides who he will give a uniform. Tracy goes over to her bag and takes out a lemon lime Gatorade. She takes off the lid and chugs half the bottle. She watches as Coach Burns starts telling girls if they have made the team. A few minutes later Coach Burns calls her over.

"Yes, Coach Burns." Tracy says nervously.

"You were amazing out there." Coach Burns compliments.

"Thank you, Coach Burns, I practiced hard to get ready for today." She says.

"It shows. Have you ever played on the team at your old school?" Coach Burns asks.

"No, sir, they said that I was too small and that I wasn't at a high enough skill level to play for them." She answers.

"Well, those coaches were idiots. You obviously are at a high enough skill level to play and I believe that big things come in small packages. "I would love to have someone like you on my team," Coach Burns says.

Tracy does her best not to cry because for the first time a coach has actually judged her by her ability to play the game, and not by her size. He takes a uniform out of the cardboard box. He hands it to her.

"Thank you so much, Coach Burns. I won't let you down. I promise." she says.

"You're welcome Tracy. You earned it." he says.

Tracy slowly walks back to her car with her gear on her shoulder and the uniform in her left hand. She holds back her screams of joy the best she can. Ethan and the others are waiting outside Dr. Oliver's house for Tracy to arrive to see how the tryout went. A few minutes later they see Tracy's car pull up. Tracy gets out of her car and she is trying really hard to make it look like she didn't make the team. She lets out the scream of joy she held in the entire ride. Then she walks over to the team.

"Congrats." Trent says.

"Thanks, Trent." she says.

"Tracy, are you sure you can balance saving the word, the softball team, and school?" Conner asks.

"Of course, I can Conner. I have dreamed of this day ever since I got turned down for the seventh-grade team." she says confidently.

"So, when is the first practice?" Dr. Oliver asks.

"Next Wednesday after school." she replies.

The rangers walk into the house and go down into the lab.

Dr. Oliver's POV

We all sit down in our chairs. I look over at Tracy. She is fighting to keep her eyes open. I look back towards the team. I decide to keep the meeting brief. I tell them that we are going to have a training session tomorrow after school. They all assure me that they will be there. I look over at Tracy and she is fast asleep, holding her uniform in her hand. I tell Conner and the others to head home. They get up from their chairs and walk up the steps out of the lab. I walk over to Tracy and pick her up. I carry her to the guest room. I set her on the bed and drape the extra blanket that is on the end bed over her. I slide her eye glasses off her face. I put them on the desk. I turn off the light and close the door.

Chapter 13: First Date

Tracy's POV

It has rained for the past few weeks. That means no softball practice because the field is too saturated to play on. The gymnasium is too small to practice in too. I decide to head to the cybercafe to see what the others are up to. I enter the cafe. I see Kira playing with her band, Ethan playing the latest video game on his laptop, Conner is checking out a girl sitting at the bar and trying to get her number, and Trent is hard at work serving people. I walk up to Ethan and tap him on the shoulder.

"Oh, hey Tracy what's up?' he asks.

"Nothing much really. I'm just tired of waiting for the ball diamond to dry out so I can play again." I answer.

"Not being able to play is really getting to you isn't it?" he asks.

"A bit, but with this long break I took a stab at writing a song." I say.

"Really, can we hear it?" Kira asks as she walks over to us.

"I don't know Kira," I answer.

"Come on, please?" Kira asks.

"Well, it's not really finished, but I guess I can. Kira can I borrow your guitar?" I say.

She nods and hands me her guitar. I walk over to the stage and climb on it. I strum a few chords and start to play a simple tune. I start to sing Small but Strong, a few chords later. As I finished the song I hear my friends clap loudly. I hop down off the stage and walk over to them.

"Wow Tracy, you wrote that?" Ethan asks.

"Yeah, I know it's not that good." I answer.

"No, it's really good." Ethan says.

"Yeah Ethan's right. What's it called?" Kira says.

"It's called Small but Strong" I say.

I handed Kira back her guitar. A few seconds later I feel someone hug me from behind. I turn me head and see Mike.

"Hey, Darling did I surprise you?" He asks.

"Nope, and you know surprising a black belt isn't really a good idea." I answer.

"Point taken and I kind of need to take to you in private." he says.

He playfully drags me away from the group. He drags me over to the couches and he sits down. He pulls me closer and gets a whiff of my perfume. Mike doesn't say anything I figure my perfume has him under its spell.

"So, Mike, what's up?" I ask.

"Sorry darling, I want to ask you if you would like to go to the movies tonight." he says.

"Sure, I'd loved too." I say.

"Good, so I'll pick you up here around four." he informs me.

"Cool, can't wait, but what movie are we going to see?" I ask.

"What ever you wanted to see." he answers.

I turn around and finally realize how close we actually are. Mike takes his hands off my waist and cups my cheeks. Then our eyes meet and his lips press against mine. He starts to French kiss me and the fireworks go off inside my head. A few seconds later he backs away and I am still trying to process what just happened. I slowly get to my feet.

"So, I'll see you around four." he says.

"Yeah, see you then." I say.

I wave good-bye as he leaves the cafe. Conner and the rest of the gang walk over to me. Kira notices that I'm still in shock over the kiss. I come back a few seconds later afterwards and Conner splashes water on my face from the water bottle in his hand. Trent hands me a towel to dry my face off. I hand it back to him after I'm done.

"Conner, will you stop doing that!" I snap.

"I won't have to do it if you stop acting like a you've never had a boyfriend before." Conner says.

"Anyway, Tracy, what did he say?" Kira asks.

"He asked me to go to the movies with him this afternoon." I say.

"So, what are you going to wear to the movies?" Kira asks.

"I don't know. I mean we are going to the movies so getting all dressed up would be pointless, considering that we will be sitting in a dark room anyway." I answer.

"True, what if he takes you out to get something afterwards?" she asks.

"I never thought of that." I say.

Kira says she will help me pick out an outfit. I thank her and we leave to head to my house to get ready for my date with Mike.

MIke's POV

I come back to the cybercafé to pick up Tracy to take her to the movies. I walk inside and go up to the bar. Conner is talking with Ethan. I walk over to the stage and I see Tracy standing in front of it. She is warring a pink sundress with matching sandals. Her hair is in a pony tail and a few stray strands hang to the side.

"You look amazing as always. So you ready to go." I say.

I offer her my right hand. She nods and takes my hand. We leave the café and head out to my car. We arrive at the movie theater five minutes later. We get out of the car and walk up to the box office.

"Remember angel, it's your pick." I say.

"Ok, what about 50 First Dates," Tracy says

"Sounds good, two tickets for 50 First Dates please." I say

"Sure things son here you go." The usher says.

He hands me the tickets. Then we go get some treats. I buy a large popcorn and a large drink for us to share. After I buy the food, Tracy and I walk to the theater and take our seats. Ten minutes later the movie starts and I put my left arm around her shoulder. She moves closer to me. A few minutes into the movie I pass her the popcorn. She takes a hand full-out of the bag. Then I set the bag on the floor and sneak a piece of popcorn out of her hand.

"Hey, I thought that was mine." she whispers.

"I know, but I thought you'd be nice and share it with me." I whisper back.

Tracy smiles and we turn around to watch the movie. A few minutes later we finish the bag of popcorn. We reach down to pick up the drink. As we bring the drink back up, our fingers line up perfectly.

"Mike, you can let go now." she flirts.

"I don't think I want to." I flirt back.

We take a sip of the drink and puts it back on the floor. We go back to watching the movie. I look down at my watch and turn on the light. I notice that the movie is going to end in a few minutes. I glance over and see Tracy's hand on the armrest. I place my hand on top of hers and entwine my fingers between hers. She looks over at me and ours eyes meet just like I planned it. I lean in closer and use my free hand to tilt her chin up towards me. I gently press my lips against hers. After I back away, I see a huge smile on her face.

"I guess that you like it?" I ask/whisper.

She leans in and kisses me back. As our second kiss ends, I look back at the screen and notice the end credits rolling across the screen.

"Sorry I made you miss the end of the movie." she apologizes.

"It's ok; I liked this ending better anyway." I say.

I get up from my chair and Tracy gets up from her seat too. She picks up the drink. We walk to the exit and she throws the drink away in the trash can. We exit the theater and walk out to the car.

"How's does a little dinner sound?" I ask, as I start the car.

"Sounds good to me." Tracy answers.

I back out of the parking space and start to leave the parking lot. When I reach the end of the entrance I make a right turn to go to one of my favorite restaurants in town.

Tracy's POV

A few minutes later we pull up to a Mexican restaurant.

"I hope you like Mexican food," Mike says.

"I don't like Mexican food. I love it. " I say.

I hear Mike let out a sigh of relief as he shuts off the engine. He gets out and walks around to the passenger side of the car. He opens to door and helps me out of the car. After I'm completely out of the car he closes the door behind me. Then we walk into the restaurant. The hostess is below average height, medium, straight, dark brown hair and pale green eyes.

"Hello, table for two." the hostess says.

We nod. She grabs two menus and leads us to our table. After we get to the table Mike pulls my chair out for me and I sit down. He walks over to his chair and sits down. We scoot our chairs in towards the table.

"Can I start you two off with something to drink?" the hostess asks.

"I'll just have Pepsi." I say.

"Make that two." Mike says.

"Very good, your server will be here soon to take your order." The hostess says as she leaves to put in our drink order.

The sever walks up with a tray. She sets our drinks in front of us. She is very short, very long, straight, brown hair and dark blue eyes.

"Hello, my name is Samantha. I'll be your sever tonight. Can I start you off with an appetizer?" Samantha asks.

"No thank you, Samantha." Mike says.

"Do you two need a few minutes to look over the menu?" she asks.

"Yes." I say.

"Very good. I'll be back in a few minutes to take your order." Samantha says as she leaves.

"Do you have any idea what you would like?" Mike asks.

"To be honest Mike no. It all looks delicious." I answer.

Mike chuckles. Five minutes later Samantha came back. She asks us if we have decided.

"I'll have the chicken enchilada." I say.

"Good choice and what will you be having?" Samantha asks.

"I'll have the special burritos." Mike says.

"I'll put this right in for you." She says.

While we wait for our food, the mariachi band starts to play a slow song. Mike asks me if I would like to dance. I tell him that I'm not a very good dancer.

"What about Homecoming?" he asks.

"That was luck." I say.

"Remember, slow dancing is easy all you have to do is follow my lead." Mike says.

"That's true. I guess it could be fun." I say.

"Cool," Mike says.

Normal POV

Meanwhile at another table across the restaurant another one of Grant's friends, Jamar Hunter, is cleaning off the table. Jamar is average height, has short, curly, pale red hair, and brown eyes. He stops and takes out his cellphone. He turns on the camera and starts to record what's is happening on the dance floor.

Grant is going to love this video. Jamar thinks.

Mike reminds Tracy where to place her hands and they start to waltz around the floor. Five minutes later he tells Tracy that he is going to spin her. Tracy tells him that she's a little scared. He tells her that everything will be fine and that he wasn't going to even think about letting go of her hand. After the spin he brings her back in towards him. Their eyes meet. A few seconds later his lips brush against her.

"Wow, this had been the best date of my entire life." Tracy thinks to herself.

Then they push away from each other Tracy sees the sparkle in his eyes that makes her smile. After the kiss, Jamar stops his phone from recording. He quickly sends the video to Grant. He quickly puts his phone away so he won't get in trouble with his boss. Then he gets back to work.

Tracy's POV

The songs end, and we walk back to our table. Two minutes later Samantha comes back with our food. She places the food in front of us.

"Enjoy." Samantha says.

We thank her and start to eat our dinner. Five minutes later we finish dinner and Samantha asks us if we saved room for desert. Mike tells me that the desserts here are huge so he suggests that we share it. I agree. That sounds like a good idea. He orders us peanut butter chocolate pie. Samantha leaves and comes back three minutes later with our dessert. After we finish eating dessert, Samantha places the check on the table. I reach to pick it up but Mike stops me.

"Tracy I got this." Mike says.

I nod and let him go pay the check.

Mike's POV

I walk up to the cash register. The cashier has round brown eyes that are like two bronze coins, silky, straight, neck-length hair the color of obsidian and nut-brown skin. The cashier rings up the check.

"How was everything?" The cashier asks.

"Everything was great." I answer.

"That will be $19.82." The cashier says.

I reach into my wallet and take out a twenty-dollar bill and hand it to the cashier.

"18 cents is your change, and have nice night." the cashier says.

He hands me my change. I walk back to the table and help Tracy up from her seat.

"Thank you for dinner." she says.

"You're welcome, but the night isn't over yet. There is one more place I would like to take you." I say.

"Where are we going?" she asks.

"It's a surprise." I answer.

Tracy plays along as we walk back out to the car. As we step outside into the crisp night air, I notice Tracy start to shiver slightly. I take off my jacket and place in on her shoulders. She thanks me and we continue to the car. She gets into the car. We drive off to our last stop for the night before I drop her off at her house. I park the car.

"Is this the place?" she asks.

"No angel. I'm afraid we have to walk the rest of the way." I answer.

She nods and opens her door. She exits the car and I do too. I walk around to the trunk of the car and take out the blanket. I put it under my right arm. I close the trunk and walk over to Tracy. I take her left hand and we start to walk up the hill. We get about half way up the hill when Tracy finally says something.

"I don't mean to sound rude, but I hope what you wanted to show me it worth all this work." she says.

"I promise that you will love it." I tell her.

"Ok. Mikey I trust you." she says.

A few minutes later we reach the top of the hill.

"Wow you were right. This is beautiful." she says, as she admires the city lights.

"I told you that you would love it." I say.

She looks over at me and smiles. I let go of her hand and set the blanket on the ground.

"Care to join me?" I ask.

"I would love too." she replies.

We sit down and continue to look at the lights. A few minutes later Tracy scoots closer and sets her head on my shoulder. I look down at her as my eyes catch a glimpse of hers. I get lost in them.

"Mike, are you ok?" she asks.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I answer.

"That's good; I know how you can make this night amazing." she says.

"How can I do that?" I ask.

"Kiss me again." she answers.

I lean in closer and kiss her. We back away for air she has a big smile on her face.

"Can I say one more thing?" she asks.

"What's that angel?" I reply.

"That I had a great time tonight." she answers.

"That's good to hear. I had a great time too." I tell her. Then I look at my watch and notice how later it is.

"Tracy, I think that we should get you home before your parents start to worry." I say.

She nods and we get to our feet. I roll up the blanket and walk back down the hill to the car. Ten minutes later we pull into the driveway to Tracy's house. Then I turn off the car and we get out. I walk her to the door. She thanks me again for everything. I tell her that it was my pleasure. She takes off my jacket and hands it back to me. I give it back to her.

"Don't you want this back?" she asks.

"No, you can keep it. I have another one just like it." I answer.

"Ok, well good night Mike." She says.

"Yeah good night see you tomorrow." I say.

She chuckles and walks inside the house. I turn around and walk back to the car.I climb into the car and start it. I back out of the driveway and drive home.

"Thank you Lord for the best night of my life and for giving me one of your angels. You are the best." I say.

Chapter 13: First Date

The song in the chapter I wrote it.

A baby cries for the first time
Her father hold her in his hand
the doctor says she'll never walk across the land
Her parent know that she has a higher purpose
Chorus
She maybe small but she is strong
she has the spirit of a warrior
one day she'll say you were wrong
I may be small but I am strong

eighteen year pass and she is wearing a cap and gown
Her parents watch from the bleachers with tear in their eyes
Then she is handed a piece of paper that prove everyone lied

Chorus
She maybe small but she is strong
she has the spirit of a warrior
one day she'll say you were wrong
I may be small but I am strong

Today she is wearing a white dress
the wedding songs plays
She walks down the aisle with flowers in her hand
She can stand proud when she sees the man who saw what everyone else couldn't see

She is a warrior
You were wrong
She is strong
I know where my hearts belongs with this woman who proved you wrong
She may be small but she is strong
As I finished the song I hear my friends clap loudly. I hop down off the stage and walk over to them.

I turn around and walk back to the car. I climb into the car and start it. I back out of the driveway and drive home.

"Thank you Lord for the best night of my life and for giving me one of your angels. You are the best." I say.

Chapter 14: The Worst Day Ever part 1

Normal POV

The next day at school Tracy is at her locker putting her things away. A few seconds later Amber and Kira dash up to her. Tracy turns around to face her friends.

"How did your date go with Mike?" Kira asks.

"Yeah, tell us everything," Amber adds.

"Sorry guys, I don't kiss and tell," Tracy says.

"You kissed - please tell," Amber begs.

Tracy shakes her head and turns back around to put her jacket away (it was the same jacket Mike let her keep.) She tells all the details of the date to her locker. She finishes a few seconds later. She takes out her science book and quickly closes her locker to keep everything for being heard by anyone else. Amber and Kira smile as they overhear everything that Tracy said into her locker. Then Tracy turns back around to face her friends again.

"Like I said, I'm not saying a thing," Tracy says.

Then the girl's head to their first class. Tracy and Kira walk into Dr. Oliver's science class. Tracy sits down next to Mike and Kira sits down with Ethan and the others. After Dr. Oliver takes attendance, he turns on the TV for the morning news report.

"Good morning Reefside High, this is Cassidy Cornel with a special report," Cassidy announces.

I hope she doesn't mean what I think she means. Tracy thinks.

Then Cassidy signals to Devon to play the video. The video is of Tracy and Mike's date last night. They were at the Mexican restaurant dancing to the mariachi band. A few minutes later the video ends and Tracy suddenly wishes that she had Trent's or even Dr. Oliver's dino power.

"It looks like Reefside High has a new power couple, so wish Tracy Burlew and Mike Andrews good luck. That will be all." Cassidy says as she signs off.

The whole class (except for Kira and the gang) turns around in their seats to face Mike and Tracy. The room fills with chuckles and with jokes about what was on the video. Tracy is so embarrassed by the school seeing that video. After two minutes of hearing the jokes, Tracy can't take it anymore. She gets out of her seat quickly and runs out of the room with tears rolling down her cheeks.

"How did Cassidy even get that footage?" Ethan asks.

"I have a pretty good idea," Trent answers.

Trent looks over at Grant and he has a look of pure satisfaction on his face. Then he looks back towards his friends.

"Grant gave Cassidy the tape," Trent says.

"How can you be so sure?" Conner asks.

"Why else would he be so pleased with himself?" Trent answers.

"Point taken. But, how did he get the footage?" Ethan says.

"I heard the Jamar got a job at the restaurant that Mike and Tracy went to," Conner says.

"Well, that explains so much," Trent adds.

"Guys, I'm going to check Tracy," Kira says

She gets up from her seat and walks up to Dr. Oliver. She asks for a hall pass. He writes one for her and Tracy as well so Tracy won't get in trouble for being in the halls without one. He hands them to Kira. She walks out of the room. Dr. Oliver tells the class to settle down and to start reading chapter twenty in their books.

Kira's POV

I walk into the girl's bathroom. I see Tracy sitting in the far corner on the floor. She is still crying her eyes out. As the tears continue to roll off her cheeks, I watch them splash as they hit the floor. I slowly walk over to her and place my right hand on her shoulder. Tracy slowly starts to look up at me.

"Hey Kira, has the class stopped laughing at me yet?" Tracy asks.

"Yes," I answer.

"Good, but I can't go back into that room," Tracy says.

I help her to her feet then go into one of the stalls. I take a few squares and go back out. I hand her what was in my hand and she uses it to dry the tears from her eyes.

"Tracy, I know you're embarrassed, but you can't hide in here all day." I remind her.

"Relax Kira. I won't stay in here all day. I promise. I'll come out when class is over." she says.

"Ok, then you'll need this so you won't get a detention," I say.

I hand her the hall pass from my pocket. She thanks me for being a good friend to her during all this. I tell her I know she would do the same if I was in her place. Then I turn around and head back to class.

Normal POV

Ten minutes later Tracy hears the bell ring so she leaves the bathroom. She files through the hallway back to science class. She slowly enters the room and walks up to her friends. They are standing in the front of the room. Trent hands Tracy her books. She notices that Mike had made a copy of the notes from today's class for her.

"Hey Trent, could you do me a favor?" she asks.

"Sure what is it?" Trent answers.

"Can I borrow your dino power for the rest of the day?" she answers.

"Sorry Tracy, I would if I could, but dino powers don't work like that," Trent says.

"I was afraid you would say that." She says very disappointedly.

"Tracy, trust me by tomorrow everyone will have forgotten all about this," Dr. Oliver tells her.

"I know Dr. O but I'm still not a big fan of being the punchline of everyone's joke."She says.

Devon is at his locker and he opens his camera bag. He notices that the camera isn't there. He closes his locker and goes back into the classroom. He stands in the doorway. He notices that Conner isn't too happy and that Tracy is still very upset about the tape. Devon walks over to the group.

"Dude, why did you play that tape today?" Conner asks.

"I didn't know that was on the tape - honest," Devon answers.

"Don't you check the tapes beforehand?" he asks.

"Yes, but I was in a rush this morning. Cassidy wanted to get the broadcast as soon as possible." Devon replies.

"That's a pretty lame excuse dude." He says.

"I know Conner, but it's the truth. Tracy, I'm really sorry if it's any consolation I don't like it when anyone in the school gets embarrassed like that." Devon says.

"Apology accepted. Devon, has anyone told you that you're a really nice person?" Tracy says.

"All the time," Devon says.

"Well, I should get going while the halls are still crowded," Tracy says.

She turns around to leave the room. Devon puts the camera back in the bag and leaves the room as well.

Tracy's POV

Music and gym class went well. After the bell rang to signal the end of gym class I hated hearing that even more than usual. I walked to my locker to get my pre calculus book and everything I needed for class. I closed my locker and headed to class.

I walk into class and sit down at my desk. I take out my notebook and open it to a blank page to prepare to take notes for today's class (more like try my best to read the nine-point font on the board and copy it into my notebook). I look over at Mike and he gives me a reassuring smile. I crack a small smile back at him. A few seconds later the room fills with snickers and chuckles.

"Ok class, pop quiz." Mr. Johnson says.

The chuckles quickly turn into moans as he hands out the quizzes. I take out my calculator. The quiz isn't as bad as I thought it would be so I'm pretty confident that I did well. After Mr. Johnson collects the quizzes he starts today's lesson about the law of cosines. Fifteen minutes later Mr. Johnson finishes his lesson and tells the class their homework assignment. The bell rings ten minutes later and I quickly gather my things and power walk out of the room.

English class goes the same way that pre calculus did. A joke spreads around the room, a pop quiz is given, and then we read the next few acts of Romeo and Juliet. I'm so happy when last bell rang. I make sure I'm the first one out of the classroom. I file through the halls as quickly as I can without tripping over my feet or anyone else's for that matter. I finally get to my locker two minutes later.

I open it and put my books away and take my jacket. I put it on and I take out my book bag. I just finished packing my book bag. I notice my friends coming up from the corner of my eye so I close my locker. I put my bag on my back and turn around to face them.

"Hey guys, what's up?" I ask.

"Nothing really. We just wanted to make sure that you survived the school day." Conner answers.

"As you can see, I'm still standing here. Yes, Conner I survived the worst day of school ever." I say.

"I have some good news." Amber says.

"We have softball practice today." I answer.

"No sorry. How about we head to the cybercafé? I'll buy you a smoothie - my treat." Amber says.

"Maybe later, I was thinking about heading to the batting cages." I say.

"Sorry, you can't do that either. The batting cages have turned into bird baths because of all the rain we've had the past few weeks." Amber says.

"You mean they still haven't drained yet?" Ethan asks.

"I know they really need to invest in a new drainage system." Amber says.

"I guess we are heading to the cybercafé after all?" she asks.

I nod. We head out to the parking lot. Ethan rides with Conner in his car. Amber, Kira and Trent ride along with me in my car.

Hayley's POV

I finished wiping down the bar and put the rag away. I notice Kira and the gang enter the café.

"Hey guys, how was school today?" I ask.

"It was the worst day of school ever." Tracy answers.

"Come on Tracy, it couldn't have been that bad. Don't you think you're over reacting just a bit?" I say.

Tracy just shakes her head no.

"What happened?" I ask.

"Cassidy played a video of Tracy's date with Mike to the entire school." Conner answers.

"I'm sorry, Tracy." I say.

"Do you guys think if I tell my mom about this it will be enough to convince her that we should move back to Michigan?" Tracy asks.

"I know you're embarrassed but I don't think that it's going to work." I answer.

"I was afraid that you would say that. You can't blame a girl for trying, right?" Tracy says.

"True, how about I make you a smoothie?" I ask.

"I guess that might help a little." Tracy says.

She orders her usual- a large strawberry banana smoothie and goes over to a table. She sits down and starts to do her homework. After I finished making her smoothie Amber pays for it. Then Trent takes it to her table. Trent sets it down on the table. She takes her head out of her science book.

"Thanks Trent." She says.

"You're welcome - just doing my job." Trent says.

Trent walks back to the bar and Tracy get's back to her science homework. Ten minutes later Tracy puts her science book away and takes out her pre calculus book, a calculator and another notebook.

"Hayley, in a few minutes that glass is going to be on the floor." Conner says.

"What do you mean Conner?" I ask.

"Let's just say Tracy has a love/hate relationship with math." Conner answers.

"Let me guess, she loves it when she can get the right answer and hates it when she spends five minutes on a problem just to find out she got the wrong answer." I say.

"Yup that's pretty much it." Conner says.

We watch as Tracy does a few problems. She checks her answers in the back of the book.

"Please, the people who wrote this book are wrong. There is no way that is the right answer." She snaps.

Mike walks in the room and looks over towards Tracy. He notices that she was about to erase a hole into the paper and is about to throw her calculator across the room. He looks back at us.

"How long has she been working on her pre-calc homework?" he asks.

"I'd say about twenty minutes." I answer.

"Well, I'd better head over there before she destroys her calculator." Mike says.

Mike walks over to Tracy's table.

Mike's POV

I get to the table just as Tracy turns around and tosses her calculator towards the wall. I catch it in mid-air and set it back down on the table. Tracy looks over at me.

"You know if you destroy your calculator it will take you even longer to finish your homework." I remind her.

"I know that Mike, but you know math brings out my dark side." She says.

"I wouldn't call it your dark side angel." I say.

"What would you call it then?" she asks.

"I would call it your frustrated side." I answer.

Tracy lets out a soft chuckle and a small smile creeps across her face. I watch her try to wipe the smile off her face.

"Well I thought you'd forgotten how to smile, considering that I only saw you smile once today." I say.

"What are you trying to do exactly?" she asks.

"I'm just trying to get you to laugh and smile. I love it when you smile and I love hearing you laugh." I remind her.

"I know you do Mike. Could you give me a hand with my pre calc homework please?" She says.

"Sure thing angel I would love to help you out." I say.

I pull up a chair and sit down next to her. Fifteen minutes later I could tell that Tracy would snap if she did one more problem.

"Tracy, how about we take a break?" I ask.

"Sounds good to me, if I do one more problem I think my head is going to explode." She says.

"Tracy, you know that can't really happen right?" I reply.

"Yeah I know." She answers.

Then we get up from our seats and walk over to the couch. She tells me that I'm a great math tutor. I thank her for the compliment. I tell her that she doesn't really need a tutor.

"Really Mikey, why's that?" she asks.

"You are a very smart girl. All you need is to have more confidence in yourself." I answer.

"Thanks Mikey that's really sweet." She says.

"How about you and I head down to the beach after you finish your homework?" I ask.

"I don't know Mike." She answers.

I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her in close.

"Trust me angel this spot I want to show you is hidden. I'm the only person who knows where it is." I tell her.

"I guess if it's hidden that's means no one will be able to get any more footage of us." She says.

"So is that a yes?" I say.

She nods. I walk backwards and sit down on the couch. Tracy has no choice but to sit in my lap. Tracy tries to move to sit down next to me. I won't let her. I just want to stay exactly how we are now.

"Are you going to let me move?" she asks.

"Nope sorry, I don't want to let you go." I answer.

"Ok Mikey, you win. I'll stay her for a bit anyway." she says.

A few minutes later I finally let her move to sit down on the couch. After her butt is on the cushion I wrap my arm around her. I pull her closer and she lays her head on my chest.

"This is better." She says.

"Why's that angel?" I ask.

"If we are like this my perfume won't cause you to have a brain fart. Plus it makes you look a little less cute." She answers.

"Wait it makes me look less cute." I say/ whine.

"Relax Mikey I was just kidding." She says.

"Right I knew that." I say.

Tracy just giggles and moves her head towards mine. Then her lips press against mine and I feel the fireworks go off inside my head. As she backs away I notice her eyes are still sparkling like diamonds. She sits back and I lick my lips. I get a taste of her Reese's peanut butter cup lip gloss.

"I like your new lip gloss." I say.

"You know you're not supposed to eat it silly." She says.

"I know sweetie but then why do they add flavor to it anyway?" I ask.

"Just to get us girls to buy it I guess." She answers.

"It also makes the guy who dates that girl who bought that lip gloss want her to kiss him again." I flirt.

"Sorry, Mikey, no can do. This girl would like you to kiss her instead of her kissing you." She flirts.

"You're trying to be cute, right?" I ask sweetly.

"No, it just comes naturally when I'm with you." She answers just as sweetly.

Then she looks over at me and I see her beautiful eyes that always remind me of how amazing she really is. I lean in close and use my right index finger to tilt her chin up towards me. I gently kiss her on the lips. After our second kiss ends she reminds me that it might be a good idea if she finishes her homework. I agreed that sounds like good ideas so we head back over to the table where her things are. I help her with her homework - only when she needs my help that is. Ten minutes later the pre-calc homework is done.

She rips out the homework from her notebook. She takes out a mini stapler from the outside pocket of her bag, staples her homework and puts it away in the folder she uses for the class. Then she puts the stapler away. She closes the notebook and her math book. Then she puts everything away. She zips up her bag and puts it on her back. She gets up from the table.

"I'll be right back Mikey. I'm going to put this back in my car." She says.

"Okay hurry back," I say.

"Don't worry I will," she says as she leaves the room.

Normal POV

Tracy gets to her car and is about to put her bag in the passenger's seat. When her communicator goes off.

"Mesogog picked the wrong day to send a monster to attack the city." Tracy says.

Then Conner and the others run outside too.

"Tracy, you know what we have to do, right?" Conner asked.

"Yes I do Conner." Tracy answers.

"I don't think this is the best place to ranger up though." Ethan says.

Conner points over towards the dumpster. The rangers jog over to it. They check to make sure no one is around.

"Great pick Conner." Kira says in a sarcastic tone.

"Yeah, couldn't have picked the one that wasn't filled to the top with garbage." Tracy adds.

"Guys, this is not the time. You guys ready?" Conner asks.

"Ready." The other rangers say except for Tracy and their bracelets turned into their morphers.

"Dino Thunder Power Up!" Conner, Kira, Ethan yells.

"White Ranger Dino Power." Trent yells.

Everyone except for Tracy stand in their ranger suits. Tracy looks back over towards the café.

"Tracy, Mike asked you out didn't he?" Kira asks.

"Yes." Tracy answers.

"You know our duties as a ranger right?" Ethan asks.

"Yes, I do Ethan I just wish that being a hero didn't have to make being in a relationship even more difficult." Tracy answers.

"I know this is hard but we really need you." Kira says.

"I know Kira, but what am I supposed to tell Mike?" Tracy asks.

"We'll figure that out together after the battle, okay?" Kira answers.

"Thanks Kira, you really are the best friend ever." Tracy says.

"I know" Kira says.

"Enough with the best friend moment. So, Tracy would you morph please?" Conner asks.

"Ok I'm morphing. Dino Thunder Power Up." Tracy says.

"Come on guys, let's go" Conner says.

Then the five rangers rush off to save the city. The rangers arrive downtown to see a tyrondrone convention.

"It's just some t-drones. Did we really have to morph to deal with these guys?" Tracy asks.

"It will go faster." Conner reminds her.

"True let's get this over with." Tracy says.

Tracy calls for her weapon and charges in towards the t-drone. She takes out ten of them in one shot.

"Come on guys, we can't let her have all the fun." Conner says.

The other rangers charge into the fray and take out more t-drones. Ten minutes later they destroy all the t-drones. The rangers run up to each other.

"Well that was fun." Ethan says.

"Let's get out of here. I'll still be able to make my date with Mike." Tracy says.

"You'll have to take a rain check on that date Pink ranger." An evil voice says.

The rangers turn around and see Mesogog's latest monster.

"I knew I should have left while I had the chance." Tracy says.

The monster fires it laser at the rangers. The blast came in fast and hits the rangers. They lay on the ground demorphed. It sneaks back through an Invisi-Portal. The rangers get to their feet.

"Man that thing is stronger than anything we've ever fought before." Trent says.

"Trent's right, what do we do now?" Kira asks.

"Let's head to the lab and see if Dr. O has any idea on how to beat it." Conner says.

Everyone agrees that is a good idea so the rangers slowly exit the battle. They are wondering what their next move will be.

Chapter 15: The Worst Day Ever Part 2

Normal POV

Conner, Kira, Ethan and Trent walk into the lab. Dr. Oliver turns around in his chair to face his fellow rangers. He notices that Tracy isn't with them.

"Hey Dr. Oliver, you saw that right?" Conner asks.

"Yes, I did Conner. So, where's Tracy?" Dr. Oliver asks.

"She's outside still trying to call Mike," Kira answers.

Dr. Oliver tells the team that he'll fill them in on Mesogog's latest creature when Tracy joins them. Tracy stands outside her car and hits redial for the third time. Tracy slowly puts the phone to her ear. She smiles as soon as she hears it ringing. A few rings later she hears Mike's voice.

"Hey sweetie, where are you? I was starting to get worried." Mike says.

"Sorry, Mikey I'm at Kira's." Tracy lies.

"What are you doing there, anyway?" Mike asks.

"She asked me to help her with a special project." Tracy lies again.

Tracy feels her stomach doing back flips with every word she is saying. He asks her how the project is coming. She tells him that they hit a bump in the road.

"How much longer is this project going to take?" he asks.

"I don't know, Mikey, but I'll call you when we're done, ok?" Tracy says.

"That's works for me, angel. I love you," he says.

"I love you too." She says.

They hang up and Tracy puts her phone back in her pocket. She walks inside Dr. Oliver's house down the steps and enters the lab. Tracy still feels sick to her stomach about lying to her boyfriend.

"Tracy, is everything ok with you and Mike?" Conner asks.

"Yeah, I really hate lying to him, though," Tracy answers.

"Technically, you're not lying to him Tracy, you're just stretching the truth," Conner says.

"Conner, that's the same darn thing." Tracy snaps.

Tracy looks over at Conner and he doesn't like the look in her eyes. He is going to toss some water in her face to cool her down. He is a few inches away from her and slowly opens the bottle.

"Unless you want a broken hand, McKnight, I would put that lid back on the bottle." Tracy threatens.

Conner is scared out of his mind as he sees Tracy's eyes change from the shade of blue they usually are to two shades darker. Dr. Oliver can tell that something is not right. He nods to Hayley and she picks up the spray bottle off the table next to her. Dr. Oliver gets up from his chair and turns invisible to sneak up behind Tracy. He wraps his feet around her ankles and twists them, she falls to the floor and he turns visible again. Tracy struggles to get free after Dr. Oliver pins her to the floor.

"I'm sorry Tracy, but this is for your own good. Hayley, do it now." Dr. Oliver says.

Hayley walks over to them and sprays the bottle in Tracy's face. A few seconds later Tracy falls into a deep sleep. Dr. Oliver bends down, picks Tracy up off the floor, and carries her over to the exam table. Everyone follows behind him slowly. He sets Tracy down gently on the table and Hayley places a few sensors on her and runs the scanner over Tracy's body.

"Hayley, what is wrong with her?" Trent asks.

"I Don't know Trent. We'll know soon enough." Hayley answers.

"Dr. O., do you think that blasts from that freak caused this?" Ethan asks.

"That's one theory, Ethan," Dr. Oliver answers.

Kira looks down at Tracy's gem and she notices that it was acting weird.

"Hey guys, check out Tracy's gem. It's going crazy." Kira says.

"Yeah, Kira's right. It's like it has a mind of its own." Ethan says.

"It's more like Mesogog is trying to put an evil spell on it," Hayley says.

Everyone looks over at Hayley with surprised looks on their faces. Everyone recovers a few seconds later.

"Can he actually do that, Dr. Oliver?" Conner asks.

"It looks like he already did." He answers.

"What are we supposed to do now?" Conner asks.

"We have to break the spell duh," Kira answers.

"How do we do that?" Ethan asks.

"It's simple, Ethan, we have to beat the monster and we'll have our friend back," Trent answers.

Everyone sits down in their chairs and wait for Tracy wakes up. A few minutes later everyone hears the sound of a low moan. Dr. Oliver walks over to the exam table. He looks down at Tracy and watches as she slowly starts to come around.

"Hey, Dr. O what happened?" Tracy asks.

"You were under an evil spell and we used sleeping gas on you so we could run a few tests." He answers.

"Did I hurt anyone?" she asks.

"No everyone is still in one piece." He answers.

Tracy sighs in relief, starts to sit up, and hops down from the table and the others rangers walk up.

"Hey Tracy, how do you feel?" Trent asks.

"A little dizzy, other than that I'm fine," Tracy answers.

A few seconds later the alarm goes off again. Everyone looks over at the monitor. They see the monster again.

"Looks like it's back," Tracy says.

"Come on guys, let's go," Conner says.

"I'm coming too," Tracy says.

"Not a good idea. The rest of us can handle this." Conner says.

"You guys are just afraid that I'll turn on you again, aren't you? That's not going to happen again. Besides no one messes with my mind and gets away with it." Tracy says.

Dr. Oliver looks over at her. He notices the fire in her eyes.

"All right. You can come, just avoid the beams." Dr. Oliver says.

"You got it, Dr. Oliver." Tracy says.

Then the rangers morph and go off to battle the monster. The rangers arrive downtown and easily defeat the swarm of triptoids and the t-drones.

"Well, pink ranger, I guess you want to give me your gem now?" The monster asks.

"I'll never give it back to you," Tracy says.

"I guess I'll just have to make you give it back." The monster says.

"How are you going to do that?" Tracy asks.

"Like this, pink ranger." The monster says.

It takes out a remote control and presses a button. A few seconds later the spell takes hold of Tracy again. She walks over to the monster. She turns around to face Dr. Oliver.

"That's a good girl. Now, destroy the black ranger." The monster says.

"Yes, master," Tracy says.

She takes out her laser. She fires a blast at Dr. Oliver. The monster has a satisfied grin on its face.

"Tracy, no!" The other rangers yell.
Doctor Oliver deflects the laser blasts with his staff. Tracy summons her weapon and charges in towards him. They start to fight and about half way into it Tracy is able to break the monster spell just long enough to talk with him.

"Tell the others form the Z-Rex Blaster and fire it at the monster," Tracy says.

"Are you sure that you know what you're doing?" Dr. Oliver asks.

"Yes, I do," She answers.

A few seconds later the spell takes control of her again. Tracy slashes her weapon across his chest. He flies through the air, rolls across the ground and lands in front of the other rangers. Kira helps him up.

"Dr. O. are you ok?" Kira ask.

"Yes Kira, I'm fine." Dr. Oliver answers.

"What the plan Conner?" Ethan asks.

"I don't know." Conner answers.

"We have to fire the Z-Rex Blaster at the monster." Dr. Oliver says.

"We can't do that! What if we hit Tracy?" Trent argues.

"We have to have faith in Tracy." Dr. Oliver says.

The other rangers know that their mentor has a good point and call for their weapons. They form the Z-Rex Blaster and aim it at the monster. The monster orders Tracy to come back to him to shield him from the blast.

"Do it red ranger, I dare you." The monster taunts.

Conner hesitates to pull the trigger on the Z-Rex Blaster.

"Do it Conner! Don't worry I'll be fine!" Tracy shouts towards her fellow ranger, as she breaks free from the spell again for a few seconds.

Conner takes a deep breath and fires the Z-Rex Blaster. The rangers watch as the blast heads in towards the monster and Tracy. The blast is about to hit Tracy, but she rolls out-of-the-way just before it hits her. The rangers watch as the monster falls over and explodes. Tracy gets to her feet and is happy that the monster is gone. A few seconds later Tracy drops to her knees and demorphs as she hits the ground. The other rangers run over to her. Kira turns Tracy onto her back and tries to wake her up.

"Tracy, wake up," Kira says.

"Don't worry Kira she just needs some air." Dr. Oliver says.

A few seconds later Tracy starts to wake up but her vision is a little fuzzy. She blinks a few times and notices her friends are by her side. Kira helps her to her feet.

"Hey, guys, what happened?" Tracy asks.

"You mean you don't remember anything that just happened?" Conner asks.

"Bits and pieces" Tracy answers.

The rangers look up towards the sky and watch as the monster grows to the size of Tiger stadium.

"I have to fight this freak alone. No one takes control of my mind and gets away with it." Tracy repeats.

She walks over towards the giant monster. Tracy starts to morph but begins to feel dizzy. A few seconds later she starts to fall backwards towards the ground. Dr. Oliver runs over to her and catches her before she hits the ground.

"I think it would be best if you sit this one out." Dr. Oliver tells her.

"I guess you're right Dr. O." Tracy says.

Dr. Oliver calls for his zord. Tracy has no choice but to watch the megazord battle. After the rangers defeated the monster, Dr. Oliver suggests that they head back to the lab, so Hayley can run a few tests just to make sure that her dino gem hasn't been affected in any negative way because of the monster spell.

Tracy's POV

Back in the lab, I'm laying on the exam table. Hayley places a few sensors on me so she can get some accurate readings. Hayley passes the scanner across my body.

"So Hayley, is the pink ranger out of action?" I ask.

"Don't worry Tracy as far as I can tell your powers are still active." Hayley answers.

"That's great, so can you disconnect me now?" I ask.

"Not yet. I want to run a few more tests ok?" Hayley answers.

"If I were you, Hayley, I would hurry up. Tracy still needs to kiss and make up with her boyfriend." Conner jokes.

"Conner, I'm not all that surprised you still can't get a date." I say.

"Why's that Tracy?" he asks.

"It's simple girls just don't like a soccer player that's not as good-looking as David Beckham." I joke.

"Hey, I'm good-looking," Conner says to defend himself.

"That's not it Tracy, the girls can't figure out if the dumb jock thing is just an act." Kira adds.

"Oh yeah Kira I forgot about that." I say.

"Ok, are we done poking fun at me?" Conner asks.

"Yes Conner, but just for the record you started it not me." I say.

A few minutes later Hayley finishes all the tests and I am free to go. I go outside to call Mike again. I take my phone out of my pocket and notice that the battery is getting low. I make a mental note to make sure that this conversation doesn't last too long. I press redial and listen as the line rings on the other side.

"Hey, angel, so you're finished with your special project." Mike says.

"Yup, and listen, sorry to cut the conversation short, but the battery on my phone is really low." I say.

"Gotcha, so can you meet me back at the cybercafé?" Mike asks.

"Sure, I'll be there in a few." I say.

"Sweet can't wait, I love you." Mike says.

"I love you too, Mikey." I say.

Then we hang up and as I put my phone back in my pocket, I see the battery meter is at one bar. I head back down to the lab. As I enter the lab, Conner notices the big smile on my face.

"I take it from that smile on your face that everything is okay between you and Mike?" Conner asks.

"Yup, and I have to meet him back at the cybercafé." I say.

"Why?" Trent asks.

"We are going to the beach to hang out." I answer.

"Don't you mean a date?" Conner corrects me.

"Yes, Conner it's a date, but we want to keep a secret." I say.

"Why are you two being so secretive?" Trent asks.

"I don't want the same thing to happen with our first date to repeat, that's all." I answer.

"Aw, gotcha," Trent says.

I decide to end the conversation there and ask Hayley if she can give me a lift back to the cybercafé. She says yes and we leave the lab and head out to her car. As we back out of the driveway I have only one thought on my mind.

I guess that this day wasn't too bad after all. I still get to go on my second date with Mike after all.

Chapter 16: Aunt Elizabeth Can't Be Gone

Tracy's POV

It's Saturday so I head to the cyber cafe to chill. I walk inside and see Mike has ordered me a smoothie. I walk over to him. After I thank him, we walk over to the couch under the window and sit down. The gang is there too. Kira is rocking out on stage with her band. Halfway through the song I feel my pocket vibrate. I reach into my pocket to look at my phone. I see my mom's picture on the screen. I knew she only calls me if it's really important.

"Sorry Mike, I got to take this," I say.

"Okay, darling, hurry back." He says.

He kisses me on the cheek. I smile and kiss him back. Then I get up and walk out of the room.

"Hey, mom, what's up?" I ask.

"Tracy, I have some bad news. Uncle Sergio just called. He told me that Aunt Elizabeth lost her battle with breast cancer." Mom says, sounding all choked up.

After I hear those words the phone falls out of my hand but I catch it before it hits the ground.

"Tracy, are you still there?" Mom asks.

"Yes, mom but the doctors said she was cancer free after the last round of chemotherapy," I say.

"They did say that, but the last treatment took too much out of her." mom says.

"Did the doctors know this would happen?" I ask.

"Yes, sweetheart." Mom replies.

"If they knew this would happen. Why did they go through with it? It doesn't make any sense." I say.

"Sweetheart, I'll explain everything later. I have to call the rest of the family to tell them the news." Mom says.

"Okay, mom, see you later," I say.

I hang up. I put my phone back in my pocket, wipe the tears from my eyes and walk back into the cafe.

Mike's POV

Tracy walks back over to me and I can tell that she is upset.

"Hey angel, what's wrong?" I ask.

"My mom called to tell me about my aunt Elizabeth. She lost her battle with breast cancer." She says.

"Tracy, I'm so sorry," I say.

I get up from the couch. I walk over to her and give her a hug. Tracy sets her head in my chest and starts to cry.

Normal POV

A few seconds later Tracy's communicator goes off. Tracy takes her head off of Mike's chest and dries the tears from her eyes.

"Are you okay," Mike asks.

"Yes," She says.

Tracy kisses him on the cheek. Then she leaves the cafe and heads to the lab. As Tracy walks into the lab, Dr. Oliver turns around in his chair, he sees Tracy's red eyes and concludes that she's been crying.

"Tracy, is everything okay?" Dr. Oliver asks.

"Yes, Dr. O everything is fine. Why do you ask?" Tracy replies.

"You look heartbroken, that's all." He says.

"I just got some sad news about my family, that's all, but I don't want to talk about it." She says.

"Good we don't want to hear about it." Conner jokes.

"Conner, this isn't the best time to make jokes, can't you see that she is upset," Kira says.

"Kira, I appreciate what you are doing. Can we just get to the reason why we're here, please?" Tracy says politely.

Kira nods and Tracy walks over to her chair. She sits down and listens as Dr. Oliver fills the team in on the current situation with Mesogog. Tracy tries to stay focused on what Dr. Oliver is saying. The only thing on her mind is memories of her Aunt Elizabeth.

Dr. Oliver's POV

I look over at Tracy and I can tell that she isn't listening to a word I'm saying. Tracy looks like she trying her best not to cry. I finish my speech and tell the team to stay on their toes. They leave the room. Tracy exits the room and starts to walk back up the stairs. She makes it up the first few steps and misses the next step. She lands face down on the first landing.

"Tracy, are you okay?" I ask.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Tracy answers.

She gets back on her feet and continues up the stairs. Hayley asks me if I have any idea why Tracy is acting like this. I say yes. Hayley turns off the computer. We head upstairs and walk outside. I notice that Tracy's car is still parked in the driveway.

"Where could she be hiding?" Hayley asks.

"I have a pretty good idea," I answer.

I walk Hayley to her car. I tell her that I will go find Tracy.

Tracy's POV

I'm at the lake at the edge of the woods skipping rocks and thinking about the fact the Aunt Elizabeth is gone. She was such an amazing person. She was so brave, courageous, strong and had a great sense of humor. She also had a way of lighting up a room and always had a smile on her face. I set the rocks back on the ground, walk over to some dead trees and start to karate chop off a few branches.

Dr. Oliver's POV

I hear the sound of a loud kiai coming from deep in the woods. I run in the direction of the sound. I see Tracy doing a few Mawashi Geri kicks on a dead tree. Then she changes to a Fumikomi Geri kick and the tree falls to the forest floor. She does a few more of those kicks to the branches. She picks them up and tosses them into the air. She jumps into the air and karate chops them in half. She lands on the ground, drops to her knees and starts to cry, I watch a puddle start to form as the tears splash onto the ground in front of her.

"Why did you have to leave Aunt Elizabeth? Why?" Tracy says through the tears.

I walk up slowly and bend down beside her. I place my hand on her shoulder. Tracy looks up at me.

"Hey Dr. O., I'm sorry I didn't mean to kick down that tree," Tracy says.

"It's okay; I know you did it because you're hurting," I tell her.

I ask her why she didn't say anything earlier. She says she didn't want the others to know. I look at her left hand and see a big splinter in it. I suggest that we head back to the house so I can take it out. Tracy nods and gets back to her feet. She dries the tears from her eyes and we walk back to the house.

Normal POV

Tracy and Dr. Oliver enter the kitchen. Tracy sits down at the table and notices that Dr. Oliver hadn't got around to buying a new one. The table is held together by wood glue and clamps. Dr. Oliver goes to the cabinet above the sink, takes out the first aid kit and walks over to Tracy. She lets him remove the splinter from her hand. He puts some medicine on the injured area and a dressing on it. She thanks him and heads home.

Wednesday morning in class Dr. Oliver can tell that Tracy is still hurting over the loss of her aunt. Tracy's mom emailed all her teachers to tell them about the death in the family. Tracy walks up and hands in her mid-term. Tracy turns around and heads back to her seat. She gathers her things and leaves the room. The midterms for English and Pre-Calculus went the same as Science. She gets through the first ten questions and starts to think about her aunt again, and she would draw a memory of her aunt on the test. She finishes the drawing then answers the next few questions. Later that day in the teacher's lounge, Mr. Johnson is grading her test. He notices the questions that she answered. Tracy did have the correct answer.

"Hello Mr. Johnson, how are your students doing?" Dr. Oliver asks.

"They are doing well. Dr. Oliver, you have Tracy in your class, don't you?" He responds.

"Yes, let me guess - you have a drawing of Tracy's aunt on her midterm."Dr. Oliver says.

"Actually it looks more like a memory." He says.

"What do you mean?" Dr. Oliver asks.

"I can't really describe it. You should look at it yourself." Mr. Johnson answers.

Dr. Oliver walks over and looks at the test. He sees a picture of Tracy and her aunt Elizabeth at her 6th birthday. Miss Drew walks in with Tracy's test in her hand.

"Let me guess Tracy drew some pictures on her mid-term as well?" Mr. Johnson asks.

Miss Drew nods. The three teachers know how some students dealt with the loss of a family member. They figure that Tracy was very close to her aunt if she can draw such an accurate picture from memory. They also know Tracy won't be able to play in the game on Friday if they submit the grade she earned on the exam to the main office. They all agree that they'll let her retake the test.

At the ball diamond behind the school, Coach Burns notices that Tracy's game is off. She is making too many throwing errors when she is playing defense. When she is at bat she can't make contact when the pitcher threw a bad pitch, or just strike out. After practice he pulls her aside to talk to her.

"Tracy, is everything ok? Your game was a little off today." Coach Burns says.

"Yes, sir everything is fine. I'm just having a bad day." Tracy says.

"Okay, remember that we have our first game on Friday." Coach Burns says.

Tracy tells the couch that she'll be ready for the game on Friday. He smiles at her response and tells her to head home to get some rest. She nods, gathers her gear, and heads to her car.

Chapter 17: First Softball Game

Normal POV

Tracy is standing outside the cyber cafe. She is on the phone with her mom.

"Mom, do you think that you and dad can make it to the game?" she asks.

"I'm sorry, sweetie. We have to work late again tonight." Christi answers.

"I understand. I guess I'll see you tomorrow then, " she says trying not to sound disappointed.

Yeah see you then, and good luck." Christi says.

Then they say goodbye and Tracy put her phone away. She walks inside the cafe. Tracy enters the room and her friends come up to her.

"Hey Trace, so can your parents make it tonight?" Amber asks.

Tracy shakes her head no. Tracy's friends tell her that they will be there. Trent tells her that Devin will be there covering the game for the school news. Amber reminds her that the game starts in two hours. Tracy and Amber leave to head back to school to meet up with the rest of the team. At the ball diamond the team is waiting for Tracy and Amber to arrive. Zoey the other right fielder is talking with Charlie.

"I'm a better right fielder than Tracy. I should be starting today not her." Zoey says.

"Zoey, you know the real reason that you're not starting is that you skipped practice every day last week," Charlie says.

"Big deal I'm going to play in the game today," Zoey says.

"What are you going to do?" Charlie asks.

"You'll see, " Zoey says.

Zoey unzips her bag and takes out a garden shovel. Charlie tells Zoey she can't do this because she'll get suspended. Zoey ignores Charlie and heads out to the warning track in deep right field. She bends down and digs a gopher sized hole into the ground. Once Zoey finishes her work she gets to her feet and heads back to the dugout. She puts the spade back into her bag and zips her bag back up.

Two hours later the game is about to start and the teams are warming up. After the teams finish warming up and the announcer announces the starting lineup for both teams. Then Kira sang the national anthem. The game starts and everything was going great. The Reefside sluggers are winning 5-4. Tracy is having a good day. She hits two double, three triples and has three stolen bases. The top of the sixth inning is not so great. The away team has two on and one out. The batter hits a long drive to deep right field. Zoey is watching with a big smile on her face, watching Tracy back pedaltowards hole. Tracy gets to the hole and her right ankle gets caught in it. Tracy screams out in pain as she falls to the ground. The ball falls down toward the warning track. Tracy reaches out her glove and the ball lands in it. Zoey has a look of pure shock on her face that Tracy is able to complete the play. Coach Burns calls for a time out and rushes out to Tracy.

"Tracy, are you all right?" coach Burns asks.

"No, I can't move it," Tracy answers.

Amber helps Tracy to her feet. The crowd claps as Tracy is helped off the field. Tracy sits down on the bench.

"What do we do now coach?" Amber asks.

"Zoey, get you mitt and take over in right field." coach Burns answers.

"You got it coach Burns," Zoey says.

"What about Tracy coach Burns?" Amber asks.

"Don't worry about me Amber just go out there and win this game," Tracy says.

Amber nods. The team rushes back onto the field to complete the inning. In the bleachers, all of Tracy's friends are in shock about what just happened.

"Something doesn't smell right here," Trent says.

"Yeah, did anyone notice that Zoey was happy about Tracy getting hurt?" Kira asks.

"Do you think that she dug that hole in right field?" Ethan asks.

"I think so, Ethan, but we can't proof she did it." Mike answers.

"Why would Zoey do that in the first place?" Ethan asks.

"Amber told me yesterday that Zoey was jealous that Tracy got to start in the game today," Kira answers.

"Tracy deserved to start in the game besides Zoey has skipped a lot of practices lately," Conner says.

"Yeah Coach Burns made a smart choice," Mike says.

Ethan asks How Zoey made the team again this year. Kira reminds him that her dad is the assistant coach. Mike tells the gang that he is going to check on Tracy. He leaves and heads to the dugout. Back in the dugout, Tracy is sitting on the bench with an ice pack on her ankle. She looks to her left and sees Mike.

"Hey Mike, what are you doing here? I thought fans aren't allowed in the dugout." Tracy says.

"Coach Burns let me in. So, how are you feeling?" he answers.

"Okay I guess," she says.

Mike suggests that she should have a doctor look at her ankle. Tracy isn't a big fan of the doctor's office, but she knows it's a good idea.

"Yeah, your friend is right. The team can handle things here. I would feel better if you got your ankle looked at." Coach Burns says as he walks in.

"Yes, Coach Burns, Tracy says.

Mike picks up her gear and Coach Burns helps her out of the dugout. Mike's father, Galen comes over to them. Galen looks exactly like his son Mike except he has a beard.

"Hi dad, " Mike says.

"Hello son, how's about we take your friend to the ER to see my friend Dr. Anderson." Galen says.

"Mike your dad is a doctor?" Tracy asks.

Mike shakes his head yes. They all head to Mike's car. They get to the ER and Galen helps Tracy into the waiting room. He helps her over to a chair and she sits down. Mike sits down next to her Galen walks to the check-in table.

"Hello Dr. Andrews, who do we have here?" the nurse asks.

"My son's girlfriend Tracy, she hurt her ankle in the big softball game tonight." Galen answers.

"Should we call her parents?" the nurse asks.

Galen tells the nurse that Tracy already did while they were on the way here. The nurse nods and tells him that the doctor will be out in a few minutes. He nods and walks over to Tracy and Mike. Tracy looks to her left and sees Galen walking up to them. Glen notices that Tracy is a little nervous.

"Tracy, are you afraid of the doctor?" Glen asks.

"I'm not scared of the doctor. The office is what freaks me out." Tracy answers.

Galen doesn't say a word. He sits down next to his son and they wait for the doctor. A few minutes later the Dr. Anderson comes out. He has beady eyes the color of milk chocolate, thick, curly, chestnut hair and dark skin.

"Hello, Dr. Andrews, so how have you been?" Dr. Anderson asks.

"I'm fine Stephan, you?" Galen answers.

"Good. The kids are driving my wife crazy."Dr. Anderson says.

"My ankle is throbbing like a wrestling match going on inside it." Tracy says.

The doctors look over at Tracy and smiled.

"So this is your son's girlfriend. You were right. She is funny just like you described." Dr. Anderson says.

He tells Galen that he would love to catch up later on. Then Dr. Anderson walks over to Tracy. He tells her to follow him and that they will get started. Mike helps Tracy back to Dr. Anderson's exam room. Mr. Andrews follows a few steps behind the group. After Dr. Anderson has Tracy go to the x-ray room to have an x-ray of her ankle taken before they enter the room and Mike helps Tracy over to the exam table.

"So Tracy how did this happen?" Dr. Anderson asks, as he looks at a copy of her x-ray.

"One of the girls on the softball team has it out for me." Tracy answers.

"Her foot got caught in a hole in right field near the warning track at the ball diamond behind the high school." Mike says.

"That's odd. Those fields are well maintained." Dr. Anderson thinks.

"Is my ankle broken doc?" Tracy asks.

"I'm afraid so." Dr. Anderson answers.

"Will I need surgery?" Tracy asks.

"No, it's not that serious. You are going to have to stay off that ankle for a while." Dr. Anderson says.

"How long is a while?" Tracy asks.

"The good news is your tibia is not displaced so you'll only be out about nine weeks." Dr. Anderson answers.

"Nine weeks. That's like half of the season." Tracy says.

"If many smaller bones were broken. IT would take you six months or more to recover." Dr. Anderson explains.

After, Dr. Anderson's assistant put an air cast on her ankle. Dr. Anderson tells her to take it easy for the next nine weeks. Tracy nods and the doctors hands her a pair crutches. Then Galen, Mike and Tracy leave the hospital. They make it back to the school in time to see the last inning of the game. Tracy sits in the bleachers and cheers on her team. After the game Coach Burns and the team (except for Zoey) walk over to her.

"Hey, Tracy so what did the doctor say?" Charlie says.

"It's broken and I'll be out for nine weeks." Tracy answers.

Coach Burns tells her that she'll be missed. Tracy thanks him. Back in the dugout, Zoey is really proud of herself. She has one thought on her mind when Tracy gets back, she'll be coach's favorite right fielder again.

Chapter 18: Recovery Time (Week One)

Tracy's POV

I wake up Monday morning in the guest room at Mike's house. Our parents agreed that it would be a good idea for me to stay at the Andrews's house because it was closer to the bus stop. I change into a ruffled pink t-shirt and a pair shorts. I pick up my crutches and leave the room. I'm walking down the hallway to the kitchen. I feel someone hug me from behind. I turn my head and see Mike.

"Good morning angel, how did you sleep?" Mike asks.

"Good morning to you Mikey, and to answer your question I slept okay," I say.

"Why angel bad dreams?" he asks.

I shake my head no. I tell him the pain in my ankle was driving me crazy all night. He lets me go and we continue to the kitchen. We enter the kitchen. Mike's mom greets us. She has hooded blue eyes, fine, wavy, brown hair, and cream-colored skin.

"Hello Mrs. Andrews, thank you again for letting me stay here," I say.

"You're welcome Tracy, so what would you like for breakfast?" Mrs. Andrews asks.

"Strawberry pancakes and strawberry banana smoothies please," I answer.

"Got it and what about you Mikes?" Mrs. Andrews says.

"I'll have blackberry pancakes, please?" Mike says.

"You got it, sweetie," Mrs. Andrews says.

After breakfast, Mike and I leave for school. We walk into the school Mike is carrying my backpack on his back along with his bag. We stop at our lockers before we head to class. We enter the room. Devin and the others walk up.

"Hey Devin, you covered the softball game for the school news right?" I ask.

"Yes," he answers.

"Did you tape anything before the game started?" I ask.

He shakes his head yes. I ask him if I can see it. He nods and gets out his laptop. He sets it on the table and we gather around it. He presses play. We watch the first five minutes of the video. I notice in the background while Cassidy is interviewing the coach of the opposing team. I see someone walking to the warning track in right field and digging a hole. I ask Devin if he can zoom in. He zooms and we watch Zoey heads back to the dugout.

"I knew it," Kira says.

"What do you do now?" I ask.

"It's obvious Tracy we have to show this to the principal Randal," Mike answers.

"You guys can show it to the principal Randal. I'll stay here." I say.

"You should come too," Ethan says.

"I don't really need to besides I don't want to get in trouble," I say.

"Tracy, why would you think that you'll get in trouble? You didn't do anything wrong," he says.

"I know that," I say.

The warning bell rings and the rest of the class files in. I see Zoey walk in. I get up and go over to her. I ask her if we can talk in the hallway. She nods and we go into the hallway.

"I'm so sorry about your ankle. I never knew you were so accident prone." Zoey says in a false sympathetic tone.

"Drop the act Zoey. I know that you dug that hole in right field." I say.

"How did you know it was me?" she asks.

"Simple Devin recorded the game for the school news," I answer.

She kicks my crutches away. They make a clattering sound as they hit the floor. I start to fall towards the floor. I use a locker handle to stop myself from falling. Zoey grabs the collar of my shirt and slams me against the locker.

"Listen if you go to the principal Randal. I'll make sure that you'll get suspended instead of me. If I get suspended you'll wish that Grant was still picking on you. Are we clear?" Zoey threatens.

I swallow my fear and nod. Zoey lets me go. I drop down to the floor and look up her. Then Dr. Oliver walks up.

"Is everything ok girls?" he asks.

"Yes, Dr. O, everything is fine," Zoey says.

She goes back inside the room. I get up and stand on my good foot. Dr. O picks my crutches and gives them to me.

Dr. Oliver's POV

Tracy doesn't say a word and goes inside the room. The bell rings again I walk in my classroom. I stand in the front of the room and take attendance. I pass out a pop quiz and give a few to Tracy. She takes one and passes the rest to Conner. As they are going around the room I notice Zoey making hand motions towards Tracy telling her to keep her mouth shut. Tracy turns back around quickly and gets to work on her quiz. After I collect the quizzes I start today's lesson. I let Tracy leave five minutes early so she can get to her next class on time. Mike gets up too and carries her books.

Tracy's POV

We stop at my locker to put my things away and get my Pre-Calculus book and my calculator. Mike and I head to music class. He notices that I'm a little on edge.

"Hey, angel what happened before with Zoey?" Mike asks.

"Nothing we just talked about the game," I answer.

"Tracy I know that you're lying. Please look at me and tell me what happened." Mike says calmly.

I look over at him and he sees the fear in my eyes. He asks me if Zoey threatened to hurt me. I nod and tears start to roll down my cheeks. Mike sets down what's in his hands, and he pulls me into a hug.

"Why is Zoey doing this Mikey? What did I do to her to make her do this?" I ask.

"I don't know angel. I promise you that I won't let her hurt you." Mike says.

A few minutes I stop crying and take my head out of his chest. He uses his right hand to dry the tears from my eyes. I thank him and we continue to music class. The rest of the school day I leave class early so I can get to my next class on time. Mike carries my things. I know I should go to principal Randal and tell her what's going on. I too afraid of what Zoey might do to me if I tell. Mike and I are at my locker packing up to head home. Mike's parents are picking us up.

"Do you want to head to the cyber café?" Mike asks.

"Yeah, that sounds like a good plan to me Mikey. I'll meet you at the car. I have to use the little girls' room." I answer.

"Okay," Mike says as he picks up my book bag and heads outside.

Normal POV

Tracy is walking out of the bathroom as she turns the corner. She notices Grant and Zoey making out in front of his locker. She pivots on her good foot and leans up against the wall. Tracy can tell that they're done because she hears them talking.

"Did you make sure that Tracy doesn't rat you out, sweetie?" Grant asks.

"Yes, I did honey, and you should have seen how scared she was." Zoey answers.

"I'm so happy that were a couple." Grant says.

"Me too Grant you're a great guy." Zoey replies.

They leave to catch the bus. Tracy waits a few seconds so she can comprehend what just she just heard. Then she heads out to meet up with Mike.

Chapter 19: Recovery Time (Week Five - Spring Break)

Normal POV

Tracy is happy to have the walking cast on her ankle. She walks into the kitchen. The only problem she feels like crud. She has a headache and feels really tired and her throat been sore for the past four days. She woke up around four a.m. because she felt nauseous.

"Good morning, Tracy," Aaleahya says.

"Good morning, Mrs. Andrews," Tracy says in a raspy tone.

"Tracy, honey, please call me Aaleahya, besides, Mrs. Andrews is my mother," Aaleahya says.

"My wife is right. You can call me Galen." Galen says.

"Got it. What's for breakfast?" Tracy asks in a raspy tone.

"Scrambled eggs and sausage," Aaleahya says.

"Sounds good," Tracy says in the same tone.

"Tracy, are you feeling okay this morning?" Galen asks.

"Yes, I'm fine. My throat is dry from sleeping in air conditioning all night that's all." Tracy answers in with her raspy voice.

Aaleahya walks over to her and places her right hand on Tracy's forehead.

"Tracy, sweetie, you're burning up," Aaleahya says.

She takes her hand away. Galen walks over and notices Tracy's face is red and the swollen lymph nodes on her neck. Galen tells her he is going to go get the thermometer and she should go to the living room to sit down. Tracy nods and leaves the room.

Tracy sits down on the couch and waits for Galen to come back. Tracy is mad because she has plans for spring break. Getting sick and staying in bed wasn't on the list. A few minutes he comes in with the thermometer in one hand and his doctor bag in the other.

"Is that the new one where you swipe across my forehead?" Tracy asks.

He nods and slides it across her forehead. A few seconds later it beeps and reads 102. Galen asks her if he can take a look at her throat. She nods. Galen takes a tongue depressor out of his bag. Tracy opens her mouth, he sets it on her tongue and sees her swollen tonsils and her red throat.

"I think we should go to our family doctor." He says.

"Aren't you a doctor?" She asks.

"Yes, but I think we should go see our family doctor." He says.

Tracy nods reluctantly and they leave to go to the doctor.

Galen's POV

Tracy and I walk into the office. After Tracy signs in and does the paperwork, she gives it back to the receptionist. She walks back to her seat and sits down. The nurse calls us back to see the doctor a few minutes later. We walk to the exam room and she sits down on the exam table.

"Hello Tracy, I'm Doctor Burroughs. How are you feeling today?" Dr. Burroughs asks.

"Fine" She answers.

Dr. Burroughs does an exam and notices the same thing I did. He tells Tracy that he is going run a few tests to find out what is wrong. Tracy nods and lets him do his job.

He leaves the room. I look over at Tracy and notice that she is struggling to keep her eyes open. I know all that Tracy's body wants her to do is rest. We wait seven minutes until Dr. Burroughs comes back with the results.

"I have good news and bad news." He says.

"What's the good news?" I ask.

"The test came back negative for strep throat," Dr. Burroughs answers.

"So what's the bad news?" Tracy asks.

"You have a really bad throat infection. The treatment I suggest is fever control, hydration and t this antibiotic for a few days " Dr. Burroughs answers.

He hands me the prescription slip for Tracy's antibiotic. We leave the room and head out to the car.

====== Welcome To Reefside ====

Tracy's POV

A few hours later I wake up in the guest room and still feel horrible. I sit up in the bed. Mike walks in with a glass of juice. He sets the glass on the end table. I scoot over so he can sit down next to me.

"Hey angel, how are you feeling?" he asks.

"I've been better and I'm sorry that we didn't get to go do everything that we planned." I apologize.

"It's okay angel everyone gets sick." he says.

"Well, at least one of us is going to have fun this week," I say.

"Hey, if you can't leave the house this week I won't leave either." He says.

"Mike, you really don't have to do that. You know that right?" I ask.

He says that he wants to. He leans in and kisses me on the forehead. He back away and leans up against the headboard. I move over to sit down on his lap.

"Have I told you that you're the sweetest guy ever?" I ask.

"Yes," he says.

I chuckle a little. He wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me in closer. We stay like that for a few minutes. I finish the glass of juice and put it back on the end table. I set my head on his chest and let out a yawn. A few seconds later I fall back to sleep.

Galen's POV

It is time to give Tracy another dose of her medicine so I walk to the guest room. I see my wife standing in the doorway. She has a smile on her face. I look in the room and see my son and Tracy fast asleep in each other's arm.

"I really don't want to wake her up, but she needs to take her medicine," I say.

"Yeah I know sweetie but this is so cute," she says.

"I know sweetie, but I'm pretty sure that Tracy would want to get better as quickly as possible," I say.

I walk into the room and go over to the bed. I shake Tracy gently to wake her up. She lets out a low sick moan as she wakes up.

"Did you have to wake me up, Mr. Andrews?" Tracy asks.

"Yes honey, I know you want to rest, but it's time for another dose of medicine," I say.

Tracy moans again and I pour some medicine into the teaspoon. I watch her face fold in half as she swallows the medicine. I set medicine on the end table and pick up the thermometer. I place it on her forehead. It beeps a few seconds later. It reads 101.

"That good" I say.

"What is?" she asks.

"Your fever is going down," I say.

"That's good, I guess. Does Mike have to leave?" she asks.

"No, he can stay," I answer.

I see a small smile come to her face. Then she falls back to sleep again.

Normal POV

Three days later Tracy wakes up and is feeling better than she did at the beginning of the week. She turns her head and sees Mike still fast asleep. She smiles and slowly gets out of his arms. She walks out of the room and heads to the kitchen.

"Good morning Aaleahya, Galen," Tracy says.

Galen walks over to her and places his hand on her forehead.

"Your fever is gone, that's great," Galen says.

"Is okay if I go outside?" Tracy asks.

"I don't see why not. Just take it easy for the next few days." Galen answers.

"I guess I can handle that," she says.

A few minutes later Mike walks in the room.

"Good Morning, Mike," Aaleahya says.

"Morning, mom," Mike says.

Tracy and Mike sit down at the table and eat breakfast. After breakfast they go change and head out to the forest to take a hike together. While they are walking, Mike spots a strange-looking green glowing rock on the ground.

"Hey Tracy, that rock looks like the one on your bracelet." Mike says.

"Yeah that's pretty crazy isn't it?" Tracy asks.

"So, what is it?" Mike asks.

Tracy is going to tell him what he found but Elsa shows up.

"Hello pink ranger, how about you tell your boyfriend to hand over that dino gem." Elsa says.

"Tracy, what is this woman talking about? What's a dino gem? Wait, you're a power ranger?" Mike asks.

"I don't know Mike I've never met her before. Come on Mike, me a power ranger.? I don't have what it takes. We need to get out of here," Tracy answers.

She tells him that they need to leave. They try to run away but Elsa calls for some t-drones. They charge in towards them. Tracy wants to use her dino power to help them get away, but she knows she can't do it. A few seconds she sees several laser blasts hit the t-drones. Dr. Oliver walks over to them.

"You two need to get to safety." He says.

"You don't have to tell me twice" Mike says.

He and Tracy go duck behind some trees. They watch the rangers battle Elsa.

"Tracy, can you please tell me what is going on?" Mike asks.

"Mike, I would love to. I don't think you'll believe me if I told you." Tracy answers.

"Tracy, trust me, I'm very open-minded. I can handle it." Mike says.

Tracy takes a deep breath and takes a few steps back from him. Then her bracelet turns into her morpher and she morphs into the pink ranger.

"Whoa, you are a power ranger." Mike says.

"Yes, and you'll be one too soon," Tracy says.

"You mean I'll get to save the city from evil?" He asks.

Tracy nods. Then the other rangers come over to them. The rangers demorph and stand in front of Mike.

"I can't believe that Conner is the red ranger. Mike says.

"Yeah I was shocked too." Tracy says.

"Hey," Conner snaps.

"Come on guys, we all need to go back to the lab." Dr. Oliver says.

====== Welcome To Reefside ====

The teenagers nod and everyone starts back to the lab. Tracy walks down the stairs and sits down on a chair next to the computer.

"So, this is the command center?" Mike asks.

"Yup," Tracy answers.

"So, why did that woman want this rock?" he asks.

"That rock is a dino gem and it will give you super powers." Tracy answers.

"Tracy, are you serious? What super power did you guys get?" Mike asks.

"Super speed," Conner answers.

"Invisibility," Dr. Oliver answers.

"Camouflage powers," Trent answers.

"Mine is Tricera Armor," Ethan answers.

"Mine is Ptera Scream," Kira answers.

"What did you get Tracy?" Mike asks.

"I got stuck with super strength," Tracy answers.

"I think that's pretty cool angel," Mike says.

"Thanks," she says.

"When do I get my power?" He asks.

"Soon," Dr. Oliver says.

"I guess that I'm the green ranger since the gem is green." Mike says.

"Mike, can I see you gem for a second." Dr. Oliver says.

Mike gives the green gem to Dr. Oliver. Then Dr. Oliver picks up another morpher and the gem melts into it.

"What kind of dinosaur is that anyway?" Conner asks.

"Is a Troodon," Tracy answers.

"How do you know that?" Conner asks.

"I pay attention in class. Conner, don't take this the wrong way, but why do you even bother coming to school." Tracy answers.

"Wait, didn't scientists believe that the Troodon was the smartest of all the dinosaurs?" Mike says.

"Yeah that's what the reports say." Dr. Oliver says.

"The Troodon's brain was very large compared to it's body." Tracy answers.

"Okay, so my dino power might be super intelligence?" Mike asks.

"Maybe, but you know, Mike, some girls like smart guys" Tracy says.

"OK whatever you say angel" Mike says.

The rangers just watch as Mike and Tracy continue to flirt with each other.

I hope those too are able to keep it together on the field once Mike becomes a ranger. Dr. Oliver thinks.

Chapter 20: Recovery Time (Week Nine)

Tracy's POV

I'm so happy the doctor said my ankle is back to 100 percent and the physical therapist told me that I have the green light to get back on the field. I walk into the school and go to my locker. I see Zoey standing in front of it Zoey picks me up by my collar, turns me around, and slams me against my locker.

"I want to tell you that there is no way that you're going to come with the team when we go to the state finals next week," Zoey says.

"How do you know that?" I ask.

"Remember, if you tell any of the teachers that I dug that hole in right field, you will be sorry." Zoey threatens.

Zoey punches me in the stomach. I wince in pain. She lets me go, and I drop to the floor. I take a few deep breaths before I get to my feet slowly. I turn back around and open my locker. I grab my books and head to class. Science and music class go okay. Then it is time for gym class. After Mr. Johnson takes attendance, I go to the locker room to change. I change into my gym clothes and go to the mirror on the wall. I roll up my shirt and see a huge bruise on my stomach where Zoey punched me. Amber walks in and she also sees the bruise. I quickly roll down my shirt and winced in pain as my fingers touch the bruise.

"Tracy, what happened?" She asks.

"I don't want to talk about it," I answer.

"Zoey punched you, didn't she?" Amber asks.

"How did you know that?" I answer.

"Come on Tracy, the whole school knows that Zoey and Grant are an item." she answers.

Then I see the girl's track assistant coach Meredith Mendez walk in. She is in her mid-30s. She is very short and muscular with soft features, medium, curly, reddish-brown hair and green eyes.

"Amber, you need to go back to class. I would like to talk to your friend alone." Meredith says.

Amber nods and leaves the room. We walk into her office.

"I used to work part time as ER nurse at the hospital. Can I take a look at the bruise?" Meredith asks.

I roll up my shirt again and she touches the bruise. I wince in pain. She wraps up the bruise and rolls my shirt back down gently.

"Have you said anything to any of your teachers about this?" Meredith asks.

"I can't tell because if I do I'm dead after school," I answer.

"Look you can't keep this a secret forever you know," Meredith says.

"I know," I say.

I thank her for helping me then I head to class. After Gym, I go back to my locker to get my lunch. On the way to the cafeteria, Mike walks up to me. He hugs me from behind. I wince in pain as his hands touch the bruise on my stomach.

"Hey Mikey, what's up?" I ask.

"Nothing much" he answers.

"Tracy, are you ok?" he asks.

"Yes, I'm fine," I answer.

I know that Mike can tell that I am lying so he walks backward into another hallway. Mike lets me go and I turn around to face him.

"Zoey hurt you earlier today didn't she?" he asks.

I nod.

"Tracy, you can't keep this up. You need to tell Dr. Oliver about this." He says.

"Mike, I can't do that. If I do Zoey is going to beat the stuffing out of me." I say.

Dr. Oliver's POV

I'm walking to the teacher's lounge when I hear Tracy say, Mike, I can't do that. If I do Zoey is going to beat the stuffing out of me. I walk into the hallway and see Mike and Tracy talking.

"Tracy, I can't take this anymore. I hate seeing you like this. Please tell Dr. Oliver, please." Mike begs.

"She doesn't have to tell me, Mike, I already know that something is up," I say.

They turn around to face me.

"How did you know Dr. O?" Tracy asks.

"I knew something was wrong by the way you've been acting around her the past few weeks," I answer.

"If you knew something was up. Why didn't you say something to me about it?" Tracy asks.

"I figured that you would come to talk to me about this before things got too far out of hand," I say.

"Is it too late to ask for your help now?" Tracy asks.

"No, let's go talk to the principal Randal. Mike to head to lunch and I'll take care of Tracy." I say.

He nods and leaves to head back to the cafeteria. Tracy and I walk into the principal's office. I see that Zoey is there too with her father. When Zoey sees Tracy she comes charging in towards her. Then Zoey pins Tracy to the ground and is about to punch her. Mr. Bueno pulls Zoey off of Tracy. I help Tracy up

"OK girls, can one of you tell me what is going on?" Principal Randal asks.

"Zoey has been picking on me ever since I made the softball team," Tracy answers.

"You only made the team because you sucked up to the coach," Zoey says.

"I didn't, Zoey; I practiced hard to make the team. The reason I started in our first game was that I came to practice every day." Tracy argues.

"Whatever Tracy, you're still going to get in trouble," Zoey says.

"No she isn't, Miss Bueno, but you, on the other hand, are in trouble." principal Randal says.

"What did I do?" Zoey asks.

"You psychically harmed another student. You also destroyed school property with that stunt on the ball diamond behind the school. I have no choice but to suspend you for three weeks." Principal Randal says.

"Zoey, I am so disappointed in you. I thought your mother and I raised you better than that." Mr. Bueno says.

"Mr. Bueno, can you take your daughter home please, I would like to talk with Miss Burlew alone," Principal Randal says.

Mr. Bueno nods and leads Zoey out of the room. Tracy to sits down in the chair.

"Miss Burlew why didn't you come to me sooner?" Principal Randal asks.

"I thought I could handle this on my own," Tracy answers.

"How did that work out for you?" Principal Randal asks.

"Not so good," Tracy answers.

"How long exactly where you planning on keeping this a secret?" Principal Randal asks.

"I don't know - just until the softball season is done," Tracy answers.

"I think it's time you head to class Miss Burlew." Principal Randal says.

"Yeah, time for pre-calculus," Tracy says.

Tracy gets up from her chair and leaves the room.

Tracy's POV

I walk to my locker and see that Mike is there.

"So, how did it go?" Mike asks.

"OK, I guess" I answer.

I get my things for math class out of my locker. We head to class holding hands. The rest of the school day goes by quickly. We are standing by my locker again talking about our plans for the rest of the day.

"I'm guessing you're heading to softball practice." Mike says.

"Yes Mikey, I can't wait either." I say.

"Yeah, I can see that from the huge smile that just appeared on your face." Mike says.

I chuckle and kiss him on the cheek. Then I head outside to softball practice. After practice I head to the cybercafé to refuel. I walk up to the bar.

"Hey Tracy, how was practice?" Conner asks.

"Good I guess I just took batting practice." I answer.

"You can't blame the coach, I mean you've been out for nine weeks." Conner says.

"True. I think I should get started on my homework." I say.

I walk over to an open table and get my science book and a notebook out of my book bag. Twenty minutes later I finish my science homework. I look to my left and see my favorite smoothie sitting on the table. I smile and look up a bit more. I see Mike standing next to the table.

"Hey, angel I thought you might be thirsty." Mike says.

"Thanks Mikey, so how are you handling the whole super hero thing?" I ask.

"I'm doing okay. So, when are you planning on starting your pre calc homework?" he answers.

"After I finish the smoothie you bought for me." I answer.

He chuckles and sits down in the chair next to me. A few minutes later I finish my smoothie and take out my pre calc book and another notebook from my book bag. A few minutes later I start to get frustrated.

"I'm never going to get this." I say.

"Hey, don't talk like that. Matrices are hard. You'll get the hang out it soon." Mike says.

"I wish we could just use the calculator to do them instead of by hand." I say.

"Yeah, I know angel that would be so much easier." Mike says.

I do a few more problems before I decide to take a break. I take a fifteen minute break before I finish my homework. I pack everything up and take me bag out to my car. I put my bag away in my car. I walk back inside the cafe. I go over to the couch under the front window and sit down. Mike walks over and sits down next to me. I move closer and set my head on his shoulder.

"Tracy, what do you think about heading to our special place to hang out?" Mike asks.

I tell him that I would like that. I move closer and sit in his lap. We sit like that for ten minutes. Then we leave to head to our special place.

Chapter 21: Power Ranger Babysitter, Part 1 - A sneak Attack

Normal POV

Dr. Oliver and team are waiting for Tracy to show up for the meeting in the lab. Conner is pacing the floor. Mike is on the phone with Tracy.

"I'll be there in a few minutes," Tracy says.

"Hurry up before Conner wears a path in the floor," Mike says.

Tracy chuckles on the other end. They say good-bye and hang up.

"Mike, please tell me that she'll be here soon. I have soccer practice in an hour." Conner reminds him.

"Relax Conner she'll be here soon," Mike says.

Tracy pulls up to Dr. Oliver's house and turns off the car. She undid her seatbelt and turns around in the driver's seat. Tracy's five-year-old twin cousins Eli and Madge are sitting in the back seat in their booster seats. Eli is wearing a T-shirt with t-rex on it, a pair of black shorts, and a pair of Spiderman tennis shoes. Madge is wearing a pink summer dress and flip flops. Her hair is in braided pigtails. Eli notices that they are not at the park.

"Tracy, are we still going to the park?" Madge asks.

"Yes, I have to talk with my friends about a school project," Tracy says.

Madge asks her how long it will take. Tracy says that she'll be back in a few minutes. She turns back around and picks her book bag up off the floor in front of the passenger seat. She unzips it, takes out two coloring books, two boxes of canyons and hands them to her cousins. They thank her and she tells them to stay put. She gets out of the car, heads inside the house, opens up the trap door and heads down to the lab.

"Sorry, I'm late guys. My family from Tennessee is visiting. My Aunt Sara and Uncle Adelio asked me to watch the twins while they did some shopping." Tracy says.

Conner starts to ask Tracy a bunch of questions about them. She places her hand over his mouth to shut him up. Tracy takes her hand away a minute later.

"Take it easy captain hormone. They are only five, fraternal and very impatient. Can we make this meeting quick? The coloring books I gave them won't keep them busy for very long." Tracy says.

"I promise the meeting will be brief. I want you guys to keep a look out anything suspicious since Mesogog hasn't attacked." Dr. Oliver says.

Back in Tracy's car Eli and Madge finish coloring in the 10th page in their coloring books. They set the books down between their booster seats.

"Eli, how long has Tracy been gone?" Madge asks.

"I don't know Madge. We just started to learn how to tell time." Eli answers.

Eli unbuckles his seatbelt, reaches over to the door, pulls up the lock on the door and opens the door.

"What are you doing," Madge asks.

"Relax sis, I'm going to get Tracy," Eli says.

"You'll be in big trouble if Tracy gets back and your not here," Madge says.

Eli says, "I won't get in trouble." He gets out of the car and goes into the house.

Back in the lab, Tracy gets out of her chair. She walks over to the stairs. Eli walks down the steps and tackles her to the floor. Tracy groans as she hits the floor. Mike walks over to her. Tracy tells her cousin to let her up. Eli gets off Tracy and stands next to the bottom step. Mike helps Tracy up.

"Eli, I thought I told you to wait in the car," Tracy says.

"We did, but we got bored. You have been gone forever." Eli says.

"I have only been gone for twenty minutes," Tracy says.

"Hey, I'm still learning how to tell time," Eli says.

"True, but you still disobeyed me," Tracy says.

'I'm sorry Tracy." Eli says.

"I know you are, but you're still in trouble," Tracy says.

"Are you even allowed to punish me?" Eli asks.

"Yes, remember your mom told you that I was in charge," Tracy answers.

Tracy picks him up and carries him over to one of the chairs. She sits him down in it and gets down to his level.

"Are we still going to the park?" Eli asks.

"Yes, but you have to stay in the chair for five minutes," Tracy says.

She gets to her feet and walks back over to Mike.

"Man, I really hate being the bad guy," Tracy says.

"You're not being the bad guy Tracy. You're just doing what any good caregiver would do." Mike reminds her.

"I know, but I never thought I would actually have to do this," Tracy says.

Tracy remembers that her aunt Sara told her that Eli never stays in time-out very long. She might have to put him back in the chair a few time before he gets the message. Sure enough, two minutes later, Eli gets out of the chair and walks over to the computer. Tracy turns around and goes over to him. She picks him up and takes him back over to the chair. She sits him back down. She doesn't say a word and restarts the timer on her watch and walks back over to Mike again.

Five minutes later her watch goes off so she walks back over to Eli. Eli hops down from the chair. She gets down to his level again.

" You know why I had to put you in a time out, right?" Tracy says.

"Because you told me to stay in the car and I didn't listen," Eli says.

Tracy nods.

"Right, so can I have a hug?" Tracy asks.

Eli nods and gives her a big hug. Then she picks him up and walks back over to the team. Eli notices that everyone has a bracelet on and they all have a rock that is the same color as their clothes.

"Are you guys the power rangers?" Eli asks

"Man, Tracy, your cousin is pretty smart," Mike says.

"Yeah I know. But do you really think it's okay that he knows that we are the power rangers?" Tracy says.

"Tracy, I'm a kid. No one back home will even believe me." Eli says.

"He's got a point," Ethan says.

"Yes, buddy we are," Tracy says.

"That is so cool," Eli says.

Eli has a big smile on his face. After the smile disappears from his face

"See you later guys, we're heading to the park," Tracy says.

Eli cheers loudly in his cousin's ear and they leave the room. Tracy puts Eli back in his booster seat and buckles him in. Then she closes the door and gets into the driver's seat, starts the car and drives to the park.

Twenty minutes later they get to the park. Tracy helps her cousins out of their boosters. They jump down from them and get out of the car. Tracy closes the door and gets their things out of the trunk. They walk to an open space in the park. Tracy sets their gear next to a tree.

"Tracy, can we play with the Frisbee?" Eli asks.

"Sure buddy," Tracy answers.

Tracy digs through the gear to find the red Frisbee. The three of them get into a triangle and Tracy tosses it to Madge. She tosses it to Eli. He tosses it a little too hard. It goes over towards the tree and Tracy has to chase after it. Tracy's cousins cheer when she catches it. They play catch for twenty minutes before everyone gets sick of playing.

"Tracy, can we go play on the play ground?" Eli asks.

Tracy nods and she goes to put the Frisbee away. She puts the Frisbee away and turns around to see Elsa, a bunch of tyrannodrones, and a monster show up. Tracy's cousins run over to her and hide behind her.

"Tracy, what are those things?" Eli asks.

"They are tyrannodrones and they are here to capture you and your cousin, the pink ranger." Elsa says.

"That is not going to happen - not on my watch, Elsa." Tracy yells

"You guys take cover behind the tree where the gear is. I'll make sure that monster doesn't get any closer - I promise." Tracy says.

They nod and run over to the tree. Tracy morphs and takes down the tyrannodrones easily. Elsa orders the monster to attack Tracy while she deals with the kids. The monster charges in and slashes Tracy's right arm with his claw and drops down to her knees. The monster kicks her in the gut and Tracy hears her cousins scream out in terror as they watch their cousin get hurt.

Elsa goes over to Eli and Madge. Eli tries to protect his sister by using some of the karate moves he learned. Elsa grabs Eli. Eli screams for his cousin to help him. Elsa puts a rag over his nose and he starts to feel sleepy. Elsa does the same thing to Madge. Tracy tries to get up, but the monster picks her up and starts to choke her. A few minutes later Tracy demorphs and looks over towards the tree. She sees that Elsa called for more tyrannodrones and they are carrying Eli and Madge who are unconscious.

"What did you do to them? I swear if you hurt them, you will be sorry." Tracy says.

"Relax pink ranger they are fine. I just used chloroform on them." Elsa says.

Tracy looks back over at the monster. The monster continues to choke her until she passes out. The monster carries the unconscious pink ranger and the tyrannodrones carry the kids to their hide out. Twenty minutes later Mike heads to the park to help Tracy. He sees Tracy's car in the parking lot. He decides to search the park. He finds all the things Tracy brought to play with her cousins next to a tree. He doesn't see Tracy or her cousins anywhere. He gets a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. Mike presses his bracelet to call Dr. Oliver.

"Dr. Oliver, I'm at the park but Tracy and her cousins aren't here." Mike says.

"They could have left." Dr. Oliver says.

"I don't think so. Tracy's car is still in the parking lot. All of the toys are still here too." Mike says.

"Come back to the lab so we can figure out what is going on." Dr. Oliver says.

"I'm on my way Dr. O," Mike says.

Back in the lab Mike walks down the steps and notices the team is there too. They are tired from fighting another monster at city call.

"Does anyone knows why Tracy didn't answer when they called for her help." Conner asks.

Hayley motions for the team to come over to the computer. The rangers watch the video of Tracy fighting a different monster from the one they just fought and Elsa and the tyrannodrones going after Tracy's cousins.

"Do you have any idea where the monster took them?" Mike asks.

"No, but I'll find her, don't worry." Hayley answers.

Mike walks away from the computer and starts to pace to floor. Kira turns around and sees Mike.

"Tracy is tough and that she going to try her best to get away." Kira says.

Mike knows that Kira is right, but he is still worried. Meanwhile in the monster hide out, the monster tied Eli and Madge's hands and feet together with ropes, ties a bandana around their mouths and puts them in a cage. The monster put chains around her wrists and ties Tracy against a support beam to the left of the cage. Twenty minutes later Tracy starts to come to. She wakes up to find herself chained to a support beam with some wires attached to her forehead. She looks to her left and sees her cousins are wake and aren't hurt. Elsa walks over to her. Elsa turns her head back towards her so Tracy can see her face.

"Good morning pink ranger, so what do you think of your new digs, as you teenagers would say." Elsa says.

"I hate it. What do you want from me, I mean besides my dino gem? Elsa you know that I'll never give my gem to you." Tracy says.

"Of course I know that ,pink ranger, that is why I'm going to do this." Elsa says.

Elsa winks and the monster presses a button on the panel. A strong rush of electricity flows through the wires. Tracy screams out in pain. Tracy's cousins let out a muffled scream of terror as they watch Tracy getting shocked.

"Keep your claw over that button and to press it again when I tells you to." Elsa says.

"Listen Elsa, do what you want to me, but let my cousins go. They have nothing to do with any of this." Tracy says.

"Sorry, pink ranger, not going to happen. They are staying right here." Elsa says.

Tracy looks back over towards the cage and notices that Eli had figured out how to free him and Madge. Elsa was in shock about what just happened. She turns Tracy's head back towards her again. She asks her how he was able to do that.

"Well Elsa you still don't understand the phrase, "big things come in small packages." Tracy says.

Elsa slams her hard against the support beam. Tracy screams out in pain again.

"Please stop," Eli and Madge beg.

The twins hope that the magic word would help their cousin. Elsa does it again but she slams Tracy against the beam harder than the last time. The rush of extreme pain flows through Tracy's body and it was too much for her body to take. Tracy passes out a few seconds later. Elsa laughs evilly and walks over to the monster.

"It's time to go on to part two of the plan." Elsa says.

"Yes, shouldn't we leave some tyrannodrones here to watch the prisoners?" the monster asks.

"No, the pink ranger isn't any kind of threat to us." Elsa says.

The monster attached some wires to Tracy's gem. It sets the time on the machine every few minutes to drain Tracy's life energy and the power from the dino gem. They leave to room. A few minutes later Eli and Madge squeeze through the bars on the cage. They try to wake up their cousin but fail. They walk behind the beam and see Tracy's bracelet.

"Eli, what do we do now?" Madge asks.

"We have to call for help Madge." Eli answers.

"How do we do that?" Madge asks.

"Like this," Eli answers.

He presses the side of his cousin's morpher, speaks into it and hopes that Tracy's friends can hear him. Back at the lab everyone can hear the faint sound of Eli's voice. Dr. Oliver walks over to the computer.

"Eli, are you ok?" Dr. Oliver asks.

"Yes, but Tracy isn't. The mean lady slammed her against the beam - hard. Now she won't wake up." Eli answers.

"Don't worry, buddy, she'll wake up soon." Dr. Oliver says.

"You have to find us fast. The monster connected Tracy to a machine and said the machine would drain the power from her dino gem." Eli says.

"The other rangers and I will rescue you, I promise." Dr. Oliver says.

Chapter 22: Power Ranger Babysitter, Part 2 - Dino Ranger Rescue

Normal POV

"We should go back inside the cage," Eli says taking his hands off Tracy's bracelet.

"Why," Madge asks.

"The cage is the safest place for us just in case Elsa and the monster come back," Eli says.

Madge nods. The children walk back over to the cage. They squeeze back through the bars and sit down.

"Do you think that Tracy's friends will be able to find us?" Madge asks.

"Yes, I know they will," Eli answers.

Back at the lab, Hayley is using the new tracking program she created to find Tracy and her cousins. Dr. Oliver turns around in his chair. He sees Mike pacing the floor.

"Mike, you need to relax. We are going to find them." He tells him.

"I know Dr. O. I knew I should have gone with her," Mike says.

"Mike, don't blame yourself for this. It wasn't your fault." Kira says

"Yes, it is. If I went with her to the park, I could have helped her." Mike says.

The others spend the next few minutes trying to calm Mike down. Hayley locates a weak signal from Tracy's morpher. She announces her discovery to the team and Mike runs over to her.

"Great job Hayley. Where is she?" Mike asks.

"She is being held at the abandoned Dell manufacturing plant at the edge of the city." She answers.

The team is about to leave to go rescue Tracy and her cousins. The alarm goes off a few seconds later. They look at the screen and see Elsa and the monster attacking Little Tokyo.

"What now Dr. O?" Trent asks.

"Mike and I will go rescue, Tracy. The rest of you go deal with the monster." Dr. Oliver says.

The other rangers nod and morph. Dr. Oliver gets on his ATV and the others get on their raptor cycles and they leave the lab. A few minutes later Mike and Dr. Oliver get to the plant. They walk inside and find the room where Tracy and her cousins are being held. Dr. Oliver goes over to the cage. Eli and Madge get up and walk over to him.

"See, sis, I told you that Tracy's friends would find us," Eli says.

The kids squeeze through the bars again. Dr. Oliver leads them outside to his ATV. Eli's eyes light up. He hands them two helmets.

"Do we get to ride this?" Eli asks.

"Yes," He says

Mage gets on first. Then, Dr. Oliver and Eli get on. Dr. Oliver turns it on and drives the kids back to Hayley's cyberspace. Meanwhile at the plant, Mike is working on the computer trying to figure out how to reroute all the energy that Elsa and the monster had drained from his girlfriend back into her body. He wasn't able to give Tracy back all the energy that was drained from her body. He is able to give her enough energy so she could at least stand again. Then he goes over to Tracy and disconnects her from it. After she is safely disconnected, he summons his tro-bow. He fires several arrows at it. He picks Tracy up and carries her out before the computer explodes.

Back at the cyberspace Dr. Oliver and the kids are waiting for their parents to pick them up. A few minutes later Eli and Madge see their cousin walking up with Mike's help. They run up and give her a big hug. Tracy groans as their little arms wrap around her waist.

"Tracy, you're awake," Eli says.

"Yes, I am. How about we head inside to wait for mom and dad," Tracy says.

Dr. Oliver takes the spare set of keys that Hayley gave him out of his pocket. He unlocks the door and they walk inside. Mike helps Tracy over to the couch. He helps her sit down. Eli and Madge climb up onto it and sit down next to their cousin. Dr. Oliver and Mike walk over to the stage to talk in private.

"Mike, we need to take Tracy back to the lab to see how this whole energy drain has affected her powers," Dr. Oliver says.

"I told her the same thing on the way here. She told me that she promised her aunt and uncle that she would meet them here at five." Mike says.

Dr. Oliver doesn't say another word. They walk back over to the couch and see the three of them fast asleep. Eli is using Tracy's left arm as a pillow and Madge is doing the same with the other arm. They head back outside and see a Burgundy SUV pull into the parking lot. Tracy's Aunt Sara and Uncle Adelio get out of the car. They walk over to them. Sara is an instructor in her 30s. She is just below average height and muscular, medium, wavy, dark red hair and hazel eyes. Adelio is a grief counselor in his late 40s. He is above average height and willowy, short, straight, pale brown hair and pale brown eyes.

"Hello, it's nice to meet you. I'm Sara and this is my husband Adelio. Where are the kids?" Sara asks.

"The pleasure is ours. They're inside, follow me." Dr. Oliver says.

They walk inside and over to the couch. Sara sees her children and her niece, fast asleep. Adelio takes out his phone to take a picture.

"Adelio, don't you dare - you'll wake them up," Sara whispers.

"No, I won't honey. You know those three sleep like logs. A parade couldn't wake them up." Adelio whispers.

He takes the picture and puts his phone away. Sara carefully removes Eli from Tracy's left arm. and Adelio does the same with Madge. They carry the sleeping kids out to the car. Mike follows behind them to give them a hand. After the kids are strapped into their booster seats. The parents get out slowly and close the side doors quietly.

"Mike can you give Tracy a message? Tell her that we wanted to thank her for watching the kids." Sara says.

"I'll pass it along. I promise," Mike says.

They get into the car themselves. Mike watches as it drives away. After it fades out of sight, he heads back inside the café. Mike goes back over to the couch. Dr. Oliver figures that Mike wanted to carry Tracy to the lab. He puts her on his back. They leave the café and Dr. Oliver locks the door. They get to the middle of the parking lot. Elsa comes out of an invsa portal and stands in front of them.

"What do you want?" Mike asks.

"To send you and your girlfriend on a little trip back in time," Elsa answers.

"How are you going to do that?" Mike asks.

Elsa answers his question by taking a joystick out of her pocket. Dr. Oliver morphs and tries to use his brachio staff to knock the joystick out of her hand. Before he has the chance she presses a button and a huge portal is opened up. The strong winds it created are sucking everything around it towards it. Dr. Oliver digs his staff into the ground to keep himself from being sucked in. Mike knows he couldn't morph with Tracy on his back. He digs in his heels hoping that it would be enough to keep them from getting sucked inside the portal. Elsa turns up the power by moving the lever up. As the wind gets stronger, Mike feels his feet being lifted off the ground.

Dr. Oliver watches helplessly as his students are sucked into the portal. He hears Elsa laughing, pleased with herself. As Tracy and Mike disappeared from sight Elsa turns the portal off. Dr. Oliver puts his staff away.

"Tracy, Mike, no! Where did it send them?" He asks.

"Sorry Tommy that information is classified." Elsa answers.

After she escapes back to Mesogog's lab, Tommy demorphs and heads back to the lab alone. The only thing he can do now is hope that whereever that portal sent them, they are safe and can figure out how to get back.
