It is a pleasure to meet you! I am Kiyotaka Ishimaru, running for the position of First President of the Underground Republic. I believe that hardwork and effort are necessary in order to improve this nation rather than inate talent and intelligence. With this, I offer to you a better Underground Republic if you elect me as your President! Join me, and let us create a more competitive and organized utopia!

Backstory

Kiyotaka Ishimaru is a former student of Hope's Peak Academy's 78th Class. He is known as the Ultimate Moral Compass, one who values righteousness and justice above all else! Despite popular belief, Kiyotaka Ishimaru actually survived Monokuma's Killing School Life. Before he was hit by the hammer which ultimately may have ended his life, a mysterious supernatural being whisked him away and replaced him in the Hope's Peak Academy with a fake clone. This mysterious supernatural being brought him to the Underground Republic, where he is to impose his own beliefs and ideals of progress and development to make the Underground Republic great again!

My name is Phoenix Wright, and I am a Lawyer. I have heard that recently, many criminals have been lurking in this dark city, and that the people that pay for it are innocent...
I will not tolerate such injustice, and I will prove them that they are innocent, and with this, I will also find the true culprits!

Backstory

Phoenix Wright is a veteran defense attorney who heads the Wright Anything Agency. Mostly specializing in criminal trials, Wright is renowned for his ability to turn seemingly hopeless cases around. Beginning his career under Mia Fey in 2003, he was disbarred in 2009 after unknowingly presenting forged evidence. After spending the following seven years as a pianist who moonlighted as an undefeated poker player at the Borscht Bowl Club, he was instrumental in the organization of a test trial for the Jurist System, resulting in his exoneration and reinstatement into the bar. Wright has also been a defendant himself at least three times in his life, each time hiring a different lawyer (including representing himself).

@Mr. James If you're willing to join a party instead of going independent, support me instead. Phoenix Wright totally fits the Justice theme of Kiyotaka Ishimaru. And we basically have the same CSS. Though I did copy from Sparkin and Bard.

Hmm...Indeed, I will not become independent, as working in a party is more effective, with many heads that think better than only one.
My choice will depend on who's future as a ruler brings more justice.

ELECTION FILING OF CANDIDACY UPDATE:

The Underground Election Commission has received 13 intentions of filing, 10 of the applications approved, 2 of the applications in process, and 1 not submitted any formal documents. The deadline of filing of candidacy would be 24 hours from now.

As it stands, there are currently 12 candidates for these positions:

3 candidates for President
2 candidates for Vice President
2 candidates for Secretary of Innocent Affairs
2 candidates for Secretary of Mafia Affairs
3 candidates for Secretary of Third Party Affairs

Unfortunately, due to the low turnout of candidates, the UGEC has decided that only 3 positions would be up for election for the current season. These are:

The First Underground Republic President
The First Underground Republic Vice President
The First Underground Republic Secretary of State Affairs

As such, the candidate list is now:

3 candidates for President
2 candidates for Vice President
7 candidates for Secretary of State Affairs

For the Secretarial Candidates, you may decide to move up to the Presidential or Vice Presidential race. The UGEC strongly suggests that there should only be 1 candidate promoted to the Presidential race, while 2 candidates are to be promoted to the Vice Presidential race. If you have the current qualifications, please state it here, or on the UG Elections Discord Server, so that your papers could be processed.

There would also be rule changes here and there, so stay tuned for those.

Position: Underground Republic VP
Backstory: Born into wealth, Abby was raised a naive child, knowing outside influences were bad. Her father, a stockbroker with the intuition of a Grasshopper, was the primary breadwinner, with her mother becoming a socialite, spending little time in the house. Unfortunately, the three nurses that raised her, Sophia Hynes, Casey Johnston and Anne Barker were payed a handsome sum to prevent Abby from being "tainted", leading them to enforce a strict regime onto her.

At the age of 16, her life went through a series of drastic changes, leaving her homeless, broke & alone. It all started one night in February when a business meeting her father was attending got called off due to sickness, and him returning home to his wife in bed with a male escort. This was kept pretty low key around Abby, though she once overheard snippets of a conversation detailing it. A week after the incident, Casey came into Abby's room, and rapidly began throwing clothes into a bag, ushering Abby out of a window, and locking it behind her.

Hearing the commotion, one member of security rushed out, forcing Abby to flee, and that she did for several hours. Eventually, she wound up by a river, exhausted, sleeping underneath a tree. The next morning, she was awoken by a tug of her clothes, and as she opened her eyes a group of people were stood around.

"Hi! I'm gunner!" The one who shook her said. "You'll do!"

As soon as these words left her mouth, a fissure appeared in the ground, and the group of people entered, dragging Abby with them.

This was the Underground, and the Emissary wanted revenge.
