Celebrations forum Rules
Originally written by Kylie-chan.Forum Posting Regulations
Before posting or creating a celebration thread, please take heed of the following rules. They are enforced in this area and have have been decided upon by the community staff. Failure to adhere to these rules will result in warnings being distributed.
- All of the PokéCommunity rules and the Other Chat forum rules apply to this area.
All of the rules apply in this area apart from not posting in threads over a month old. In this sub-forum, you must not post in threads that have not been posted in for two or more weeks. If no one has posted for that length of time, it means the occasion is over and posting would be pointless. If you happen to miss out on someone's birthday, send them a PM with your message.
- Before posting a thread, make sure that there isn't a duplicate thread already made.
When posting a thread for a member, check the other threads that have been made previously as a thread for that event and member might have already have been created. It may be helpful to include the person's username in the thread title, too, so that there will be no confusion over who a thread is for.
- Do not make a thread celebrating a certain amount posts.
Threds such as, "Amachizzle made 1000 posts!" are not permitted. They are pointless and generally considered spam. 'Posts' are not something that deserves celebration, no matter how large the count is.
- This area is for birthdays, promotions, anniversaries and other special occasions only.
Any threads relating to PC such as a million posts go in the main Other Chat forum as this is for member-specific threads only.
- Do not post in ANY celebration threads that are two weeks old.
If a thread has not been posted in for two weeks, then the event is over and your post would not be beneficial.
- Avoid posting the same message and saying you don't know the member.
Don't copy and paste the same message in multiple threads. If you want to wish someone happy birthday, write something personal to them. Not just, "Happy birthday, mate!" five or six times consecutively. It is disrespectful to that member, looks spammy, and if done numerous times, a warning will be handed out. Also, do not post saying you don't know the person. If you wish to post in a celebration of a person you don't know, that's fine. But wish them a happy birthday or give your congratulation and leave it at that. Don't post saying, "Happy birthday, don't know you though..." because it's pointless and spammy. This also goes for "I have nothing else to say..."
Any questions regarding these rules are to be directed to the forum moderator,
Amachi.
