Ok, I keep seeing people saying they want Adamant this or Adamant that kind of pokemon. Why? Adamant raises Attack, nice. But lowers Special Attack.. Not nice..

Im curious why natures like.. Hardy, Docile, Serious, Bashful and Quirky are over looked. They lower nothing, have no dislike or particular likes for pokeblocks or poffins. Sure they don't raise anything. But via EV training. Does that matter?

Any ideas, clues, answers would be welcome. ^^

Heck I'll even take opinions. lol

It is very simple. You lose what you don't need. Gyarados has excellent attack, but it's special attack is so low, its unusable. What do I care about it? I won't be using it, but I will use attack. So I will lose what I don't need, & gain what I will.

EDIT: Rather than gain nothing (and lose nothing) with neutral natures, why not lose what I won't use, and gain what I will.

A pokemon always has a stat that it will never use.
Blissey never uses attack so you should put a nature that lowers attack and heightens another. Calm for instance.

most people use adamant/modest, because most people like to pick sides. Adamant is awesome for pysical sweepers causse they don't need special attack. Same goes for modest and so forth.

Simple, Blissey doesn't need any attack but it needs defense. Natures are uber
