Rhyperior is not considered a sweeper, its speed is far too low.

Weavile and Choice Scarf Heracross is probably the best sweeper.

Garchomp too. Weavile covers Gengar's weaknesses pretty well though.

DD Gyarados with Taunt is also a decent option.

I know that, that's only if the opponent leads with Electivire, I guess. A Gyarados armed with EQ, and a few DDs under it's belt, 'vire is toast.

Electivire isn't supposed to lead. =\ Your logic is also flawed because hardly anything can stop Gyarados after a couple of DDs. And suppose Electivire is holding Focus Sash. Then Gyarados's DDs won't make any difference.

Rampardos is terrible. He can't take a hit without dying, and his speed is bad.

Ahh... he's just a physical sweeper with Thunderbolt.

But Thunderbolt on Vire isn't common anymore.

Yea, that's still a mixed Sweeper Lol. Just like how infernape is a special sweeper with close combat, but he's still a mixed Sweeper.

That's what Rock Polish is for. You can also replace one of the moves with Substitude.

Rampardos won't last after a Rock Polish. The opponent will attack before Rampardos uses Rock Polish, and on that turn, Rampardos faints.

and it won't last through the attack before Substitute either.

Rampardos fails without a significent speed boost.

What happens on the NEXT turn???

Well I guess you could use Focus Sash Rock Polish, but 2 stages boost still isn't enough. or maybe it is...

BPing Ninjask for support might help the Ramparados sweeping. When talking about 4 levels of speed, that will make a difference. Especially when combining it with a Salac/Endure set.

If played correctly a CB Slaking can also wreck teams.

However, the most effective basic physical sweepers are probably Agilgross and Garchomp. Dragonite can take decent hits but is pretty slow, so he lacks true sweeping potential. I never really liked Tyranitar, but DDtar can sweep an entire team if played well. Salamence could work, but with the rise of specsmence lately, I can't really decide which set suits him best.

I really don't like all the 4x weaknesses on most of them though, so I would go for Agiligross. Metagross is pretty much a beast after an Agility and has nice type coverage and a great movepool. It can be a nice SkarmBliss counter with Thunderpunch for skarm and a EQ/MM for Blissey.

EDIT: I see you're going with weavile. Good choice as a sweeper, but he fears steel types as they resist both Ice and Dark, I believe. Most common walls are Steelix and Skarmory, Weavile will have a hard time against them That why I advice following set.

[email protected] Orb/Expert Belt/Focus Sash (Life Orb is more powerful, but Weavile can't take much hits, up to you. Focus Sash only if you use it as an opener to not get OHKO'd by a standard Jolly Aerodactyl opener. )
252 Speed/252 Attack/6 HP
Jolly
Pressure
-Pursuit (Weavile will force switches and then Pursuit will deal lots of damage)
-Brick Break/Focus Punch (Steel/TT coverage. Focus punch only if your prodiction skills are excellent.)
-Ice Punch (Avalanche is good when he is attacked first. Not likely with Weavile's speed)
-Night Slash/Swords Dance (Yeah, good STAB or attack boost, depends on your strategy)

Standard Weavile, but works quite well.

Yeah, Rampy is a beast with Jask support. But if BlazikenDude doesn't want trouble with JaskPassing, I recommend Garchomp, Life Orb Weavile and Scarfcross
