Right, I've been EV training my Quilava in Special Attack, in the Old Chateau. I've been fighting a variety of Gastly and Haunter, and by my counter I've already used 249 of his EVs, nearly maxing out his Special Attack. Despite all this however, my Quilava's SA is only 70 at level 24.

HP: 64

Defence: 35
Special Attack: 70
Special Defence: 40
Speed: 49

WTF?

Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong, and how to correct this.

He won't be at 300 sp.attack at level 24 >.>

Considerate the IV, with the levels it will grow up.

I know that. I just mean it seems pretty low considering I've maxed his SA EV points now.

EV's are gradually given as you level up, DON'T RARE CANDY THEM, if you take the patience to train it to level 100, you will see the boost in stats it gets compared to other stats.

Ah, I see. Thank you. I've also realised that vitamins make EV training considerably easier.
