Ok, after a few dozen threads, I decided on Brozong. No Rapid Spin, but still...

I don't know a good set, so I'll guess this one:

[email protected]
Nature:Impish
Stealth Rock
Earthquake
Gyro Ball
Trick Room
EV:???

I need help in this. SR stays, of course. But I need an EV spread and a better moveset.

Im confused, why would you want Trick Room if you need slower speed for Gyro Ball?

Gyro Ball's speed stays the same even with Trick Room. Trick Room doesn't change the Speed stat, it just lets the slower attack first.

Hypnosis is the attack I like on oversizedhumongobell.

Oh, my mistake. It was to help Torterra. Now that I think of it, is Gyro Ball affected by Trick Room? He still has lower speed, but...

Regardless, I was just putting something together. I won't ask for help without trying myself.

That moveset seems fine. Hypnosis / Explosion on it would be better, but I understand you want to use Stealth Rock. You're better off with Relaxed nature if you want to use Gyro Ball more effectively.

EV spread: 252 HP / 138 Atk / 102 Sp Def / 18 Def

Trick Room does not effect Gyro Ball.

Macho Brace on the oversizedhumongobell for extra power.

Why Macho Brace? It's slow as dirt as is, Gyro Ball already gets full power. Maybe I should make it Relaxed. Also, I'm not sure if I memtioned this, but I need it as more of a sp.wall. Will that work?

If you want a special wall then go with sassy. Also use explosion over EQ.

Bronzong has some better move options then ST. If you cant put in a SR then dont force your team too. Explosion does wonders so trust me on this. Hypnosis is a given. Gyro Ball should be killing an denting things left and right so you don't need EQ.

Not an expert on it's EV spread but this looks fine to me.

Well, 2 things:
1)I don't need him to have Hypnosis, I have my Noctowl.

2)I would still like him to handle sp.moves, or at least Ice Beam. Should I?

I don't really think about Ice Beam, if it has levitate, there's really no need, how about T-bolt(If it can learn it)or Psychic for STAB.

No, I mean take an Ice Beam. My team is highly vurnerable to Ice, so Brozong is a must. I would also like him to take sp.atks from opponents, but if not, at least Ice Beam.

well before i start, it doesn't learn ice beam or thunderbolt ._.

Bronzong @ Leftovers/Lum Berry
Sassy Nature
252 HP/216 SP DEF/40 ATK
Ability: Levitate
-Gyro Ball
-Explosion/Earthquake
-Hypnosis/Reflect
-Trick Room/Stealth Rock

trick room + hypnosis is a great combo that allows your incoming poke to switch in safely. if you don't go with hypnosis, then you must go with reflect to support your team as well as bronzong itself.

you could always go with a Calm Mind Bronzong as well. there's so many things you can do with this big ole bundle of tin.

EDIT: oh and, a +Sp Def nature with Reflect is so much better than a +Def with Light Screen.

First of all, I know it can't learn Ice Beam, he must block that, although I feel you knew what I meant already. Second, thanks alot. Instead of Relect, I might keep Calm Mind. My Noctowl's moveset is

Whirlwind
Hypnosis
Reflect
Night Shade

So she has Reflect/Hypnosis covered, but I'll try that on Brozong. Would this do?

Brozong
Nature: Sassy
Gyro Ball
Explosion
Calm Mind
Stealth Rock

Will that do? If not, tell me. I don't wanna seem difficult to work with, I just want Noctowl to be useful.

EDIT: I MEANT SASSY, SASSY!

NO NO NO NO. why would you give it calm mind if it has no special attacks? ._.

i said you can give it a calm mind moveset, which would be something like this:

Bronzong @ Leftovers/Lum Berry
Relaxed Nature
Ability: Levitate
252 HP/252 DEF/4 SP DEF
-Psychic
-Charge Beam
-Calm Mind
-Substitute/Hypnosis/Stealth Rock

if you want that current bronzong set, PLEASE, for the love of god, make it Sassy. it will get owned by Flamethrower/Fire Blast/Focus Blast or any other nuetral STAB sp atk otherwise. if you want to go with Relaxed nature, then give it Light Screen over Calm Mind.

Whoops, my bad, I'm thinking Cosmic Power.

I'll go with your first set, with SR, & Reflect. Sorry, Punish. If that doesn't work, I'll do what he said, & drop Stealth Rock completley.

well if Noctowl already has reflect, then you could always give it Protect. Protect is pretty decent on Bronzong so you can scout for moves. other than that, having 2 pokemon with Hypnosis won't hurt you at all.

I back what Samson says. It is never a bad idea to have a backup sleep inducer. If those Pokemon survive to late battle they rock. I have Jumpluff and Milotic as sleep inducers on my team. One is bulky while the other is quick so it helps me out of tight situations.

Yeah, perfect! So...

[email protected]
Nature: Sassy, oh sweet god, sassy! (Or Relaxed)
Gyro Ball
Explosion
Stealth Rock
Protect/Light Sreen/Hypnosis

The last move is debatable. Light Screen helps my team-might wanna run this with Relaxed. Hypnosis, well, speaks for itself, and Protect is always useful. Any final suggestions?

And EV's will help as well. Thanks Samson, Punishment, and to all that helped.

EDIT:I REMEMBER THAT MATCH! YOU BRING UP A GREAT POINT, PUNISHMENT!
