I watched TFotR and TTT back to back because theyr were on TV back to back, no "potty breaks" or anything. I'm planning to watch all three that way when the deluxe edition (or whatever it is) boxed set comes out. I've done this with Star Wars though.

Ive not watched all of them, though a theater here did show the extended FotR and TTT right before the premiere of RotK. I only went for RotK though. I still waited about two hours for the movie to start, but we met some really intelligent people in the row behind us we chatted with. My cousin flew in to watch it with us; she talked to them through most of the wait. Really smart people they all are, right over my head. @[email protected]

One of the theatres near where I worked back in January played all 3 LOTR movies in a row with 3 intermissions. I watched them all in a row, but I think I took 7 bathroom breaks

i dont much like lord of the rings :/
Then what was the point in replying...?

I can't wait until all three special edition versions are out...I don't own any of the movies yet although I'm a mega-fan of the movies. I'm just hoping there will be a box set with a little discount that'll make it cost less than buying all three separately...but they might pull something dirty like they did with TTT special edition and include some little Gollum statue and up the price $50 -.-

But anyway, what I meant to say was that I do plan to do that when they're all out on special edition, which will be in november, I'm guessing. The thing is, there are forced intermissions on the movies because the extended editions are all divided into two discs, so at a certain point in the movie a screen will appear saying "The Adventure Continues on Disc 2" or something like that...I just wish I could watch them all in the dark; I hate watching movies in the daytime...maybe I should wait until December then when it gets dark at 6:30 and the sun doesn't rise until 8...hehe, that'd be fun.

My dad, older sister and I are planning to do something just like this. Unfortunately, our big screen broke, so no watching it on there....
*snaps*
I actually heard that Peter Jackson might consider on releasing a 12 hour director's cut of the three movies, making them a whole movie.
That would be awesome, hehe...

Aww...I wouldn't want them spliced together into one movie...I like hearing the main theme and seeing the logo at the beginning of each movie. And wouldn't that only be convenient if you didn't have to get up and change discs...can a DVD hold 12 hours of movie data? I'm really not sure...

I didn't see him then, but I almost think I did in FotR when the four hobbits were entering rivendell to stay at the inn...some guy that looked like him was sitting off in a dark corner in a cloak in the rain...but I might be totally wrong though *shrug*

Once I have TTT and ROTK extended edition sets, I will watch them all together. But I may need a brief intermission after each one to stretch and use the bathroom. ^^;

Ok. here's the deal:

1.) you spammed for no reason (if you have a problem with my avatar PM me), and 2.) Do you think I'd really change my avatar if one person disliked it? No, of course not, I don't care what other people think!

Eh, as Stewie said, I just had to tell it like it was, nothing more :P Thanks for joining in, y'all ^_^

Now back on topic, children! If you haven't seen LotR you ought to watch it, Stewie...in my humble opinion, they're the greatest movies of our age...if you love epic fantasy and rockin' special effects, they're the movies for you :P

It's just something that I do, I even call people older than me 'child' =/ ...it's funny IMO, it makes me sounds like an old man. Curse the internet and its inability to emphasize inflection, all my words get misconstrued...

One of my good friends is totally obsessed with lord of the rings. She's waiting for the Extended Version of the 3rd one to come out and her parents will buy it for her as a late B-day present. Unfortuanatly, I've never seen/watched LotR, except for small parts with the uh, dragon/serpents, uh my friend says they are called felbeasts or something.
