My family and I were on a cruise back when we used to live in California. I guess my mom and dad were talking as my sister and I watched the sunset on the edge of the boat. It was really a sight to see, and my sister exclaimed, turning to me, "Isn't it just beautiful, Jordan?"
In response, I looked at her, at the sunset, unclipped my sandals and threw them overboard.
Yeah, I was a real smooth talker back then hehe...
Lol, how funny! XD I hope those sandals weren't very expensive.
I've been on a cruise once, and I remember it. I was about 11, and it was kind of a 'girl trip' that my grandmother sent my mom, grandmother, aunt, and I on. It was so much fun! (We left from California, too! O_o What ship did you all go on?) And did either of you see any dolphins/whales/etc?

Well, well... I have an interesting story with geese. Funny you mentioned them. I was just about to tell the story. >_>

My mother, brother, and I were at the park one day. We were sitting by the pond, eating lunch; sandwiches and chips. I was about 12-13-early 14. I can't remember.

Anyways, while I was sitting at the table, I heard a 'honk'. My brother and I looked back to see about 15 geese running towards us at full speed. We immediately stood up and stared back at them, wondering if we should jump into the back of our truck or not.
They finally slowed down right in front of us, and started honking like angry people in traffic. (Well, geese make honking noises. XD) I decided to give one a piece of my sandwich... Big mistake. Then about five more came, and all of them crowded around our table and started trying to bite the food out of our hand. I think if they were any bigger then they would've attacked us to get the rest of our food, lol.

Well... There was a bigger one. O_o When we finally gave them all of the food that we wanted to give them, I suddenly saw a HUGE, and if you don't mind me saying, UGLY goose running towards us. You could tell that he was the lead male. ('The Big Honker', as my aunt called him. XD But enough corny jokes.) I guess he thought my brother was trying to steal his girlfriend, because when he saw him feeding a certain goose, he ran up and started hissing at him. Since my brother and I were young at the time, we got kind of freaked out, and so we started running around my truck. Of course, they all followed. My mom just sat there, laughing and looking at us like we were crazy.
The geese continued chasing us and hissing, until we finally jumped into the back of our truck.

You could say that we had a very good laugh on the way home, lol.

lol... Huge ugly goose fires up in a roaring-mood because of your bro's hissing and chases you two around, around, around your truck, till you jumped on the back of your truck. XD

...I sometimes think running is the most important lesson in life. =\ I know it's not though.

No, I don't think they were very expensive. That didn't stop my mom's rage though hehe...
A 'girl trip'? That's nice! I can see how you girls could use a break from us boys every so often hehe...
I really can't remember the ship's name. It was so long ago, I'm lucky I remembered the story!
Oh, and I really don't recall seeing any animals...... I would've loved to though!

'The Big Honker' Hehe...
I have geese honking all over the place everyday in my backyard, so I know just how annoying they can get. Funny thing is, there are always these two that never seperate from each other. When they honk, the big one lets out something that sounds like a broken car horn, while the smaller one adds a small one at the end of the other's.

That sounds like one of the many stories that happened between my sister and I hehe....
We always get ourselves into silly situations like that!

Ah, something funny just happened today!
My dad, my sisters and I were at Target, trying to find a game we could play together as a family. We also picked some candy up as we were leaving, to eat on the way back, and during the game. As we were walking out into the street towards our van, my dad reached into one of the bags and tossed a bag of Shockers at me, saying, "Open those up for the ride home!".
I nodded in agreement and started to pull each of the opposite sides. I remembered my sister telling me earlier, that candy companies were making their bags harder to open, to avoid some of the eating in the stores. With that, I began pulling really hard on the bag, until It finally ripped open......
I think I tried a little too hard hehe...

The bag seemed to of erupted, with Shockers flying in all directions. There were several people around us, so they all turned and gave me a wierd look when they saw it was raining candy. My dad and sisters were trying to save the ones that were still in my hands and the bag, as I just stood there dumbfounded. Apparently, I ripped the bag so hard, it split in two.
I guess I don't know my own strength sometimes hehe...

Nope but I got some street cred for being in a fight and "winning"
I've got mixed feelings about that, I guess... You got your street credit at the expense of that kid who pulled your pants down but he did pull your pants down so naughty him. >=p

Ohh, yeah, it was really nice, especially if you have a brother like mine, lol. ^_^; He's so energetic.
And I did happen to see a whale on the cruise! My aunt was just videotaping our view of the ocean out of a window, and suddenly a whale breached in the distance! It was so neat; I could not believe that it was actually caught on film!
And my mom, grandmother, and aunt saw a large pod of dolphins swimming next to the ship, but I didn't... I was too busy swimming in the pool or something. Too bad. Dolphins are my favorite animals. But, I have seen two wild ones before! It was when I went to Florida to visit my aunt and uncle. We went to a fort in St. Augustine, and while we were looking over a brick wall out towards the harbor, my uncle spotted two dolphins swimming nearby. I couldn't tell what kind they were, but it was still neat!

And ohh... That sounds familiar. I think that I've done something like that before, or I'm definitely going to, lol. My grandmother told me of a funny story that happened to her, when we were getting ice cream the other day.

She was at Braums, if you've heard of that place. If not, then it's an ice cream shop. Anyways, she was with a friend, and she went inside to get each of them a coke and an ice cream for the road. Well, after she got it, and she paid for it, she started to head out the door. Unfortunately, there was another little old lady that was going into the store, and as she opened the door to get in, my grandmother tried to walk through to get out. It was bad timing. The door and her collided, and EVERYTHING spilt all over my grandmother and the floor. And I don't even think that the old lady even realized that she had done it! It must have been a funny sight. My grandmother and I are a lot alike. (She's okay too, just if you're wondering, lol. ^_^; She's very healthy and young-looking, so it didn't hurt her or anything.)

It's practically impossible to wear my sister down. I did it once, (it was when we first really started to really bond with one another. My mom found us both asleep on her bed when we finished with a book.) but I'm not sure it can happen again hehe...

Wow, that must of been quite a sight! I'm not too sure if I saw anything on our cruise besides the sunset, but I can't be certain...
You've been to the forts in St. Augustine? Cool! I went there a while back. I think it's pretty neat how all the town is in an olden day style, right down to the cobble stone streets!

It was just so suprising. I was opening it up and, kaboom!!
Hehe...
We did save a good amount of them though, and we bought them on sale, so there wasn't really problem...... to us at least!

I've heard of Braums, but I don't think I've ever went inside one of the stores. If I would've seen that, I think I would've been worried.
I'm glad you added that part at the end hehe... if that would've happened to someone I knew, I probably would've laughed, and of course helped them with the problem. I think I might've been in a situation like that before, but I was the one opening the door instead. That was a funny story!
You're like your grandmother? I see what you mean hehe....
From what my mom tells me, I'm alot like my grandfather. He loves drawing and such, and always plays around, much like myself hehe...

Oh, and wow! You sure are up late tonight! I was surprised to see you on at this hour...

Ohh, yeah! I've been gone all day, and so my mom has given me some time online. ^_^; It is late now, though... I have to get off in a little while.

Anyways, yeah, I loved St. Augustine! It is a really neat town. We visited several interesting places there.

My grandmother and I are always telling each other funny stories. She has tons! It's so fun to listen to them, and I can actually relate. XD

And my great-grandmother was an artist, so I think that's where I got my love of art from. Nobody else in the family is really that interested in it, lol.

I'm just staying up late because I don't want to go to bed right now hehe...
I've been working around the house a lot today, (like on any other Saturday) so time really seems to pass right by.

Hmm, I wonder if I was to post a pic of me in St. Augustine, if you would remember the place....
We took a lot of pictures around the various cannons in the area.

I wish I was able to bond with my grandparents like that! Unfortunately, they only speak a little bit of English, so most of the time talking to them is spent deciphering words hehe..

My grandfather used to always love to draw cartoons. My mom even said that he would've liked a job at Disney, if it wasn't for the other job he got. I guess his drawing of cartoons has passed on to me!
My sister is a really good artist, but I don't think she does it as much as I do.
An artist? Do you have any pictures of her art? That's so awesome!

Ah, well, I don't really know very much about mine, either. My great-grandparents are the farthest that I really know about. The others [relatives that go far back, like great-great-great grandparents and stuff] I've seen pictures of, but I couldn't tell you their first name.

Ohh, and I would like to see a picture of it, if you have any! ^_^; I have some too, though I'm not really too crazy about the idea of posting pictures of me when I was younger, lol. But I have some of the dolphins, though you can't really see them, and the fort.

Ah, that must be kind of hard, lol. But still, you can still bond with them even if they do speak a different language!

And wow, that's neat that your grandfather was interested in art. I might can find some pictures drawn by my great-grandmother. She mostly painted; she painted a lot of really pretty pictures. My mom has some, and we hang them in our house. They're just too big to scan, lol.

You know about your parents, grandparents, and great grandparents at least... I hardly even know my parents. ;__; About my grandparents... Like 100 said, language barriers. I can't speak/read Chinese well enough. And they aren't exactly... well, I don't know. I've never really got to share stories with anybody before. If I did, it was meaningless, and totally forgetable. Like you said, it's still possible to bond, but for me it just doesn't happen. It makes me feel like I will never grow up, that I will remain a child forever... because of not knowing my roots. ._.

My mom does a lot of geneology about our family, (it plays a part in our church) and learned a lot of cool things. One of our ancestors is even mentioned in the Bible!

If you compared my height to my sister in each of the pics, you'd be shocked hehe....
When we went to St. Augustine, my sister was almost a head taller the me. In my more recent pic from the Miami Seaquarium, I'm almost a head taller then her hehe...
I might be able to post one, if I'm ever able to get my scanner up! I keep forgeting to mention it to my dad. I'd like to see your pics, if you ever get the chance!

It is! We try to work ways around it, but because of some family problems, we don't get as much personal time together as we would like.

I was starting to wonder where my sister and I got our artistic side from, (because, honsestly, my parents aren't exactly the most artistic people. You should see some of their drawings! My mom's are really funny hehe..) until my mom mentioned what she did about my grandfather.
About your grandmother, it's really cool that you're able to hang her paintings around your house! It must feel good to be able to say, "My great-grandmother painted that!" if anyone should ask about them.
Scan? Oh, I don't need to see them, (though it would be awesome!) I was just curious as to whether you still had some of her old work. I wouldn't risk damaging an original!

I know how you feel 22sa. I know my parents very well, but I really don't know anyone outside of my immediate family in depth. It's been really hard for me to learn about my past, but through my parents, they've shown me. I say, take it one step at a time. Once you get to know your parents, they'll be able to pass on their knowledge of the past to you.

No, you don't... well I'm kinda isolated so I don't see how I can get to know them better. I'm praying to God with my freind right now... ... Sigh. Bleh. ;__; NM.
Hmm, you're isolated? As long as you live with them, you should have some chance to talk to them.... but I'm not going to disagree with you about it. That won't help!

I would like to help, but if you don't want to talk about it I understand....

"Self-centered isolation" as the Baptist book Purpose Driven Life calls it. Thank you... but you can't help me. I do take advice, just... none of them were ever practical enough to me. It's okay... the truth finally occured to me this morning anyway... I have to go back to church.

This one happened to me years ago...

I was drawing a short comic and left it on the table to use the washroom. When I came out I saw my brother laughing at it, but I thought it was weird because I had written a serious story. Then I've discovered the reason; he vandalized it with his sick jokes (i.e. drugs, sex, etc.) Angry, I threw it in the garbage, but he took it out and showed it to his friends when they came over for a visit the next day. One of his friends even mocked me for it.

Man, that was embarassing...

Well today was my cousins' b-day party! And something funny always happens at their party! It usually involves water balloons too! Well the first funny thing that happened occured when we were playing badmitton... well our own version at least. Then all of a sudden a random dog appeared! No one knew whose dog it was! We gave that dog so many names and everyone wanted to keep it cuz it had no tags. My cousins named it Joe, someone named it Sasha or something like that, we joked about it's name being water! Well that dog stayed in the yard for a few hours! Then while we were eating the owners arrived! Apparently they live across the street from my cousins. But they have never seen these people before. The dog's name was Godiva apparently. Well anyways... a few hours passed and who comes back? Godiva! She stayed at the house for about another hour before her owners came to get her. And when they came... she refused to leave with them! It was funny... she fought her owners to stay! I bet she'll visit them a lot from now on! It was funny...

Then later on we had a water balloon fight! We had one a few years ago where I was outnumbered. Well the teams were even but it was boys vs. girls. And the guys were like 17, 14, and 12. I was 14 and the other two girls were like 10 and my sister would've been 8. And they didn't know how to fill the balloons. It was awful! But I got revenge that year! Well this year I wasn't the target! I barely got wet until my sister decided to attack me with the hose. But my cousin decided to get his cousin real good! He took the balloon while his cousin was filling up another one. He chucked it at him... right at the wall between his legs! I bet you can imagine what it looked like after! It was really funny! Then from then on it was all out water balloon war! Except I managed to stay pretty dry while everyone else fought! It was really fun! Water balloon wars always turn out funny like that!
