Well I wanted to make my own traner sprite and decied to do maybe a couple here they are some recolor others fusioned.

This was the main design
This is like a blue themed trainer
This is that guy with the hat who looks like a knight and the ruin maniac
This is the new sprite after I realised the colors were too light~
This is just a fusion of the clown, PI and breeder
This is for a hack I'm spriting for

Don't be nervous... everybody is a begginner at something! I'm going to post my sprites in a couple minutes, too... could you please leave a comment? About the white background, you can do it in photoshop, by selecting the color you want to get rid of and then hit delete. If you are spriting in Photoshop, however, remember to select the pencil modes and disable anti-alias. Then you save your work as PNG or GIF and you're set.

The colors are a bit too bright for the Samurai Breeder. The first one's palette is the right color, but the other too are much too bright. One thing you must remember is not to have a completely black outline. It makes the sprite look too "cartooney". To get the look you want you have to have a hightlight color, the base color, the shadow color, and the outline color. If you are not sure what the outline color is, use references. Look at the sprite that has almost the same color scheme as yours and "steal" it's outline color. Try looking for a tutorial on spriting what I said was a little confusing.

Hehe, the new trainer is funny... XD. He could certainly be on a Pokémon game. If you want to get some more insights on spriting, there's an excellent tutorial i recommend. It was made by Dragonfree (aka Butterfree at the dragonflycave), you can find it here.

Your third sprite looks like Indiana Jones.

Anyway, your sprites are very well done. I like how you altered the style a bit by making the outlines appear to be thicker. Your shading is also superb. There is one thing, though. The purples you chose for your fourth sprite are a bit bright. You might want to tone it down a little.
