Dugtrio @ Life Orb / Choice Band
Jolly Nature
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 6 Sp.Def
- Aerial Ace
- Earthquake
- Sucker Punch / Night Slash
- Stone Edge / Rock Slide

Considering how frail Dugtrio is, I'd rather not take a risk in using Stone Edge. Power vs. Accuracy, it's your choice. There's a problem with the use of Choice Band as Dugtrio's held item, as using Earthquake while the opponent switches into a Levitator / Flyer is not so great on your side. Life Orb may turn out better in this case, but it'll probably fail to finish off a Tyranitar. The ability 'Arena Trap' is recommanded for this set, it works great with Sucker Punch. Choose Night Slash instead if you're including Dugtrio in mainly a Sandstorm team and would rather use Sand Veil as its ability.

Dugtrio without Arena Trap is a joke. The only reason people even run that pokémon is because of freakin' Arena Trap. (Otherwise they'd go for the sweepers that are stronger and either more durable, faster, or better equipped movepool wise) Also, Stone Edge is far preferable to Rock Slide in my opinion. Both moves have a chance of missing, but Dugtrio needs all the power it can get; the only things RS has going for it is the higher PP and flinch rate. Also, CB > Life Orb since Arena Trap prevents switches (making the prediction pretty darn easy) and because, again, Dugtrio's Atk does suck (To the point where Adamant could be considered over Jolly, depending on how much you want to outspeed) and it's so frail that even switching in becomes enough of a hazard without adding self-inflected injury on top. Other than that, see above. But for future reference; the four moves your pick are called a moveset; the term movepool refers to all moves a pokémon is capable of learning. ;3

Granted, with Stone Edge's power, it will usually wipe out threats. On my Torterra, I usually have 2 SE's left before the match is over. But if you are that concerned, on PP, PPMax could help.

Dugtrio is very hard to use... because he's so frail. You have to be uber awesome at prediction to be able to get him into play. His Defense is so bad, in fact, that after a Swagger, mine hurt himself... and actually OHKOed himself.

As for a moveset, I don't advise Jolly. Dugtrio needs all the Attack he can get, and can't 2KO Blissey when he's Jolly (not to mention it's usually a gamble as to outrunning other base 120's, such as Alakazam). Adamant is the way to go.

As for the EVs, max out Attack, 42 EVs in Special Defense, and the rest in Speed. With a little bit of attention to Special Defense, he's able to take on Ice Beam Blissey (granted he catches her on the switch, or switches into a Thunder Wave). And, amazingly enough, Dugtrio can survive an HP [Ice] from the likes of Jolteon.

So in total, here's the best Dugtrio:

Dugtrio @ Choice Band
Adamant Nature
EVs: 252 Attack, 42 SpDef, 216 Speed
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Aerial Ace
- Sucker Punch

You'll rarely use anything but Earthquake with Dugtrio. Stone Edge is only helpful with a critical hit (mine KOed a near full health Milotic with a critical hit Stone Edge), and without it, Skarmory walls him to no extent. Aerial Ace is just to knock out Breloom (and, to a lesser extent, non-Choice Scarf Heracross), and Sucker Punch is amazing useful, being able to OHKO Gengar and Alakazam, and will KO a Starmie if it has around 80% HP left. Plus, Sucker Punch gives you the element of surprise when you're up against a weaker opponent who's faster then you; such as an Aerodactyl, Jolteon, or an Agility Metagross.

All-in-all, Dugtrio makes the best Blissey killer, and the best SkarmBliss killer killer. But again, becuase he's so frail, you've got to be real careful with how you use him. And I HIGHLY suggest running a Rapid Spinner with this guy, since continued Spikes/Stealth Rocks will really put a dent in him.
