Yes. But it is too slow to use it. As soon as it boost, I'll take advantage of the weak move by wiping it out. Lock-On+Zap Cannon combo fails, since I will simply switch out on Lock on. Both Psybeam & Octazooka are too weak.

However, Octillery leatns many powerful moves. Flamethrower, Ice Beam, hell even Psychic. Charge Beam, now that I think of it, is pretty good, but Octillery is too slow, and has mediocre defenses.

Yeah, pretty much. With octillery, you go for power.

EDIT: Know a pokemon's movepool b4 making sets, otherwise you could miss crucial details boo.

He learns many good moves. Ice Beam, Flamethrower, Energy Ball, Psychic, just to name a few.

I'm not the best in giving advice. But I think it should have charge beam if it knows psychic.

Why is that? Electric and psychic moves together have terrible coverage...far too many pokemon wall it. And if you aren't good at giving advice, don't give it, or you'll mislead people.

Anti is right, on every part of that sentence. He learns too many good moves to use Psychic.

EDIT:I use Seribii.net

That is way off-topic. My reference is experience, which is by far the best way to learn. Serebii covers the easy basics though...experience by actually bvattling pwns those sites...end.

EDIT: Yeah, sims. Psychic has terrible coverage...many steels wall that combo, or take little damage from it. Steelix has pitiful special defense, but would definately take out octiallery, which is why you have to diversify its (octiallert's) set.

What? Oh, psychic to hurt their SpD, charge beam to raise your SpA. lol, any hazer or PHazer lols at that strategy, and it relies far too much on luck. Psychic's effect is a 20% chance I believe, just give it choice specs for more power.

That is still, in no way, a good combo. In order for it to work, I must hope that Psychic reduces sp.def, and I must hope Charge Beam increases sp.atk. Not good.

You need to learn more on strategy. Don't give any advice till ya do. No one is gonna let you charge up, and the chance sp.def is lowered is pretty low. Plus, with Octillery's speed & defences, it'll be wiped out all too fast. The opponent is smart. S/He will act to wipe you out, they won't sit their to get hit, while you put together a two piece strategy.

That about sums it up. Any strategy that relies on luck is lol, it would be like hoping Rex Grossman doesn't suck, the key word being hope.

No...Choice specs is by far superior. Octillery won't be lasting long, so you need to go out with a band, Kapeesh? And as sims said, don't give bad advice...learn more about battling first, as you clearly don't know many basics.

Ok, Anti, cool down. At least he admitted he's bad, so now he can improve.

I've seen too many people give bad advice, only to argue back. He admits he's bad, so he can get better.

Oh, no. I wasn't mad at all, didn't mean to come across that way :D Anyways...

PWNAGE EXTREME! AKA magikarp! One of the best water types, hands down.

There are plenty of bulky waters to choose from.

And lanturn. I came back because I do want to try to help others so I will do everyone a favor and not give a moveset before I ask this question. Is it good to have rain & thunder for lanturn?

Thunderdance is a bad combo...rain dance + thunder in 2 turns is 120 power...2 thunderbolts in two turns is 190 power. 190>120. Even after three turns, even 4.

[email protected] Scarf
Timid
252 Speed, 252 special Attack, 6 HP
~Thunderbolt
~Ice Beam
~Surf
~filler

I've never used lanturn, so feel free to lol at my moveset. It is a nice boltbeam resist...make sure it has volt absorb.

Ludicolo is solely an annoyer, and it counters blissey. I don't remember the EVs, but I remember everything else:

[email protected]
Rain Dish
Okay, I lied, don't remember the nature either
~leech seed
~rain dance
~Dive
~some move I don't remember

It's been a REALLY long time since I've used this bad boy. Fire punch is physical, thus is useless on ludi.
