Alright. Well, I'm making a new team to use on Shoddy. I want to counter certain Pokemon that have been a pain in my arse on there: Cresselia, Heatran, Sand Veil Garchomp, and ScarfCross. Here's what I have so far. I need suggestions on who should be my lead as well.

[email protected] Leftovers
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
EVs: 204 HP / 136 Atk / 56 SAtk / 112 SDef
Thunder
Ice Punch
Rest
Sleep Talk

Yes, I took Alter Ego's suggestion for this behemoth. I was just using it on another team and Thunder makes for a great surprise on Skarmories who switch in. I was using Superpower instead of Ice Punch and frankly it was more of a hindrance than beneficial. Toxic sucks on it, and I figured Rest + Sleep Talk would lead to a few annoyed opponents.

[email protected] Wiseglasses
Modest Nature (+SpAtk, -Atk)
EVs: 252 SpAtk / 252 SPD / 6 HP
Bug Buzz
Air Slash
Hidden Power (Ground)
Protect

Don't suggest Hypnosis. It becomes more of a hindrance with the Sleep Clause in effect. Bug Buzz is an OHKO any most Psychic-types and Air Slash has 2HKO'd a few Dusknoirs that I have faced. Hidden Power (Ground) makes for a great surprise on Heatran that switch in, usually for an OHKO. Protect is to get a free Speed Boost even though most switch when Yanmega comes in.

[email protected] [???]
Impish Nature (+Def, -SpAtk)
EVs: 252 Atk / 212 HP / 40 Def
Stone Edge/Rock Slide
EQ
Megahorn
Avalanche

Eh... I hate to admit it but I was unprepared for a Rock Polish Rhyperior and got sweeped by it. X.x; But I don't know if I want to use that set up. What I have here is a tentative move set. I personally prefer Rock Slide over Stone Edge, but that critical rate makes me salivate. EQ is one of the most reliable Physical moves in the game. Megahorn is for Cresselia, who usually carry Charge Beam/Ice Beam/Moonlight/Reflect.

[email protected] Choice Scarf
Timid (+Spd, -Atk)
EVs: 252 SpAtk / 252 Spd / 6 HP
Surf
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Grass Knot

I was using a Rapid Spin set up, but I wasn't too fond of it. I might go back to that set up, but I like Starmie has a fast, powerful strike. I might go with Choice Specs. If you can't tell, I have Starmie ADD. Outruns that accursed ScarfChomp and its damn Outrage. Grr... Grass Knot is for Swampert.

[email protected] Leftovers
Impish (+Def, -SpAtk)
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 52 Atk

Shadow Sneak/Shadow Punch
Fire Punch
Will-O-Wisp
Pain Split

Resistant or immune to both of Heracross' STAB moves and Fire Punch is super effective against it. The only thing I have to worry about is a Pursuit from it, but I've only seen that once. I have to be careful to not burn Heracross or I'm screwed. Pain Split is a poor man's way of healing. X.x; I wish he had a more power physical Ghost attack.

[email protected] Yache Berry
Adamant/Jolly Nature
EVs: Not Sure

Outrage
Earthquake
Fire Punch
Dragon Dance

Ehh... not too sure on this one. Help me.

Haha... don't be too harsh. Please point out any glaring weaknesses and give me sound advice. Thanks.

I believe you need Fire Punch on Nite, lest you be walled by Brozong.

For Noir, I'd go shadow sneak over shadow punch. That's just me though.

IF you are running Rock Polish Rhyperior, don't use Avalanche. Avalanche causes you to attack after the opponent hits you. Use Ice Punch

rhyperior can't get ice punch, neither can rhydon. it gets thunderpunch, so that may be an option. otherwise, you shouldn't bother ._.

registeel needs hammer arm of earthquake over ice punch. why? well the issue is that it gets walled by other steel types. it shouldn't be going up against bulky ground types anyway. i dunno, i'm just not a big fan of a wall getting walled, if you get my drift XD. i'm not a fan of restalk either, but oh well. i'd rather just give it explosion.

give starmie modest PLEASE. timid + 252 SPD + scarf is WAY too much. Modest + 164 SPD/88 HP + scarf is good stuff.

uh i still have more to say but i gotta get going to COSTCO!! until then, play safely... or w/e

Ice Punch is somewhat redaundent with that Special Attack that is the size of a stick.

Looks like I've trained you well in Netbattle lol...but yeah, it's physical in 4th gen. I'd just use thunderpunch to Zap the water types you can outspeed and OHKO.

I forgot, but they both give coverage. Ice=Grass, and T-punch=Water like you said. Both are an option. Also, Rhyperior without Curse?

well the only positive side of thunderpunch is being able to OHKO Gyara on the switch and getting a SE hit on skarmory. earthquake is still stronger because of STAB, so really, you'll be hitting water types (who aren't levitators) just as hard, and flying types just as hard with stone edge (maybe harder given the high CH rate). it's really not worth it all in all.

what is yanmega gonna do if a special wall comes in and walls him? without hypnosis, there's really no gains to using a pokemon with a X4 Stealth Rock Weakness. you may as well give it roost so that it can take an earthquake/close combat for the team, get the speed boost and restore on the next turn. also, it's quite silly to give it max speed when it will almost always get Speed Boost. be sure to give it 252 SP ATK/180 HP/76 SPD. that gives it 367 speed after it switches into a physical attack, and then it becomes 490 speed after the following turn whether they switch out or attempt to stall. it being able to take hits is WAY more vital then it being able to outspeed things that won't come into battle until after they switch out anyway. this is why i like it's other ability a lot more. having something inherently weak to Stealth Rock and a lot of moves defeats the purpose of it being immediately faster than threats.

give rhyperior CB or leftovers. you may want to consider giving it roar to fish out your opponent's weaknesses.

dusknoir needs thunderpunch for gyara + bulky waters, and needs brick break for heatran + ttar + weavile + lightscreen/reflect + blissey + snorlax. thunderpunch and brick break on dusknoir are ultimately beneficial for it.

adamant/jolly... doesn't really matter. be sure to give dragonite at least 116 HP EVs. otherwise, there's no point in having Yache Berry.

I disagree. 120 BP + STAB + power from DD + dragonite's uer attack base = PWNAGE!!!!!!!

Dragon claw doesn't give you that kind of power. Potential threats? DD up a few times, and there will be very few. Just be sure those nasty steels are gone...which is exactly the point. Dnite is a late-game sweeper.

Also, due to Defenses, the confusion wont matter. And I think it has 100% Accuracy. That, plus extra power, is without a doubt, extreme pwnage.
