This is a poem I made up for a Poetry Contest in my area. Let me know if you have any comments or anything else I need to add or replace. (This is a 21 line poem due to the rules I have to follow ><)
Red like Roses, White like Ribbons
Like snow, it's white
It shines in the sun
Giving its ethereal glow.
Like fire, it's red
It makes it softer than silk
So fragile, it might tear.
Like doves, it's white
His hand in my hair
Tying it, while saying those three words.
Like butterflies, it's red
With shaky hands
I drowned my eyes on him.
Like the moon, it's white
It dances with the breeze
Full of serene and peace.
Like the sun, it's red
Brightly vivid colors
Full of beauty and grace.
Like white, his love still shines for me
And the same color of the cries in the dark
Like a red memory that became lost forever.
Red like Roses, White like Ribbons
Like snow, it's white
