So I was in a battle yesterday, doing fairly well. He sent out Electrivire, I used Raichu. I thought he would use EQ, so I used Nasty Plot. He switched to Swampert instead. I used NP one more time (making it 2) and thats VERY scary. Pert used EQ on that turn, left me with 1 HP with Focus Sash. I used Grass Knot, wiped it out. A Chu with 2 Nasty Plots is VERY scary, however I overlooked one detail-he had 1 HP. He sent out Starmie. I was forced to switch. Starmie is slightly faster than Raichu, but with one HP, Raichu was done.
So here's the question. Should I have instead of using NP twice and getting EQ'ed, should have just ended it eairly? I felt I got greedy, and THAT cost me.
Or maybe Chu should be scarfed. He is Timid with maxed SPD, so I don't think that is the answer.

You only need 1 Nasty Plot to sweep stuff. Never wait til your focus sash activates to stop stat increasing moves like Nasty Plot. You didn't even need to NP to kill Swampert with Grass Knot.
So yea, you got greedy. Don't run Scarf on chu though.
if you're looking to play it off with focus sash, stick with one np. the problem still is that 1 nasty plot wouldn't be enough to sweep, especially with a limited 100 base speed.
