Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
Calm Nature
- Surf
- Wish
- Acid Armor
- Baton Pass

Blissey @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
Bold Nature [252 Def, 140 SAtk, 116 Spd] (More Speed maybe?)
- Charge Beam
- Flamethrower / Seismic Toss
- Ice Beam
- Rest

Well, isn't this just so obvious. Pass Acid Armors from Vappy to Bliss to give it survivability. Though Blissey's base SAtk is only 75, I'm guessing given a few turns this thing would be scary. I've got nothing against phazers though, and things'll really suck for me once Blissey gets WWinded or Roared away.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone else already thought of this set before me, but I'd like some... professional insight.

Thanks. :D

Blissey under an Acid Armour o.0..............*shudder*, i wouldnt want to play against that dam thing.Semi invincible

Theres Wish and Softboiled instead of Rest and you may want to consider Calm Mind instead of Flamethrower/Seismic Toss and Thunderbolt > Charge beam.

but try the ev spread 148hp/252def/4sp.d/104sp.atk.

Nice idea though, just watch out for Swampert and Suicune etc. Roaring you away.

What I'm afraid of is Toxic... That's why I put Rest instead of those other 2 moves you suggested, which I also considered.

I don't think I need Calm Mind. Charge Beam + Serene Grace = 140% chance to increase SAtk (omg), right? And the SDef boost would seem next to useless on Blissey.

Back to my main problem, I HATE hazers... They ruin all my plans. Dang Skarm once WWinded my SD-passed Azumarill after my Aqua Tail missed. I trust Waterfall so much more now, btw.

Bulky waters Pert and Cune, eh? Is Grass Knot somehow finding its way into that set? Second slot, perhaps? :D

This isn't saying much, but my Noctowl has very little trouble blowing that away.

Clam Mind is actually ok on Blissey due to the fact that with that moveset you are lacking in Hp Evs from the normal special wall blissey and putting them elswhere so Calm Mind makes up for this. Errm but the better ability for Rest would be Natural Cure so you can switch in and out freely.

Grass Knot ok, just be careful with that, its very situational.

EDIT: When using charge beam or any electric move on Blissey...make sure they do not have an Electivire.

Hey, that's saying plenty, 'coz I know it wouldn't... X(

Although, I could always just switch back in and Ice Beam it. But no self-respecting player leaves a Noctowl out in battle for too long anyway. And if you're someone who's aware of Noctowl's nice SDef, I'm guessing you're no fool to do something as stupid as that.

Well, I say this because unless you have good SP.ATK, or has a STAB, none of those moves will KO Noctowl. She can take the hit to blow you away. I speak from experience. I am fully aware of Blissey's SP.offense and Noctowl's SP.DEF.

I say "Its not saying much" because, well, who else besides me uses Noctowl.

I don't want to be switching in and out freely since it resets all my stats. Besides, with buffed up defenses and Leftovers to boot, 2 turns of sleep time doesn't seem that big a deal.

Eh, Electivire is the ONE Pokemon who gets benefits from getting hit by specifically Electric moves. It seems like such a tiny thing to worry about.

Thanks for pointing out how Calm Mind can work, but replacing Charge Beam with it leaves her way less versatile. Besides, she's still got the most massive HP of the world. I think that would more than make up for lost SDef EVs.

In the long run, Charge Beam would do more damage than Thunderbolt.

Dont ever underestimate Electivire, ive said it before and ill say it again, it has the potential to sweep entire teams. Just be sure to scout first before using electric attacks.

You hit at least neutral on everything in the game With Ice Beam and Thunderbolt(the only pokemon that fully resist this are Volt Absorb Lanturn, Shedinja and Magnezone, all of which are rather uncommon).

Also note that being asleep for two turns can be deadly. For example Blissey used rest. Opponent sends in Scarf Garchomp. Blissey is fast asleep. Garchomp uses Outrage. Blissey fainted. Which is why Wish or Softboiled would be better.

Has Toxic become that much less used since D/P came out? I'm not being sarcastic by any means, but it's basically the reason why I put Rest on this specific Blissey set.

Oh, and I'm not underestimating Electivire by a long shot. I know how deadly it can be, but I'm not so sure yet of how common it's actually used.

Still, any good hazer or shuffler will ruin this strategy.

EDIT:Yes, not many uses Toxic.

No, but then again Will-O-Wisp is common as hell...

This might work, but really, any Phazer screws this.. But then again, some people don't use Phazer at all, like I did in the beginning.

True, but Blissey can handle a little third degree Burn here & there.

Well out of people i have been battling id say about 8-10 - ish people have used one against me.

Toxic Fails due to Natural cure will instantly heal it when ya switch out. Also its not used much now due to all the common tanks being steel.

Spammer noob... >=|

Anywho, I think I'll give Dark Azelf's SpecBliss build of Natural Cure, Tbolt, CM, Ice Beam, Softboiled a try, and see how it fares. I'll give my own build a try, too.
