no, the reccomended moves for larvitar/pupitar/tyranitar are

stone edge
earthquake
crunch
dragon dance

dark pulse is a special attack, and tyranitar has a huge attack so it would not take advantage of it

Try any one of these

[email protected] Band
nature: Adamant
evs: 60 HP / 252 Atk / 196 Sp
- Crunch
- Pursuit / avalanche / Ice Punch /Ice Fang / Focus Punch
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake

Choice Band

[email protected] / Life Orb
Nature : Jolly / Naive
252 Attack / 190 SPEED / 68 HP
- Dragon Dance
- Crunch / Taunt
- Earthquake
- Stone Ege / Taunt / Ice Beam

Ice Beam is a worthwhile choice in the final moveslot as it really helps in killing off Gliscor, Garchomp and Hippowdon, but use Naive nature.

Standard Dragon Dance, Taunt to stop Skarmory and stuff Whirlwinding you away once you have Dragon Dance up.

Or my favourite

[email protected]
Quiet / Rash nature
252 HP / 190 SP.ATT / 68 Speed (If you use Quiet) or 68 Attack (if you use Rash)
- Thunderbolt / Flamethrower /Ice Beam
- Dark Pulse /Crunch
- Substitute
- Focus Punch

BOAH !!

SkarmBliss Counter infact it takes out most walls. However make sure it has 31 IV in Hp so Blissey cant break its 101 hp substitutes. If it doesnt have perfect Hp then you wont be Focus Punching Blissey.

and ive seen this everywhere on shoddy battle

[email protected] Orb
nature: Lonely
evs: 216 Atk / 196 Spd / 96 SpAtk
- Crunch
- Stone Edge / Earthquake
- Fire Blast
- Ice Beam

This is incredible hard to wall.

EDIT: Modest is a terrible nature for Tyranitar unless you use this set.

[email protected] Specs
nature: Modest
evs: 60 HP / 196 Spd / 252 SpAtk
- Dark Pulse
- Ice Beam
- Flamethrower / Thunderbolt /Focus Punch
- Focus Punch / Thunderbolt / Flamethrower

Specs Tar needs prediction to work, however it can be deadly.

Physical T-Tar shouldn't have Modest Nature.
