This is my first story to post here. I hope you like it! This is just a prologue, tell me if you want to hear more!

The light from the sun slowly began to devour from the twilight coming in. Morning stretched his limbs from his afternoon nap. He hadn’t realized that it was already getting dark. Monstrous machines came to and fro with bright lights with a loud roar every time they passed him. Stars slowly opened their eyes from their deep slumber as they showed their deep, beautiful glow.
“Have you heard the news yet?”
Morning looked over at the big white monster machine; there was a white cat on top on it with bright yellow eyes. His white fur almost seemed to match the whiteness of the car.
“Yes I heard the news, I was the one who told you, Dawn.”
“Oh really?” Dawn slithered over to him as silent as the first autumn leaf. “I was just, uh, testing you.” He tried to straighten himself to make him look fearless.
Morning stretched his limbs again, followed by a long yawn. Somewhere, a cricket chirped. “Any sign of Night?”
“No, sir.”
“How queer…She’s been gone for a month and still no sign of her.”
“What if it’s Midnight?” Dawn’s clear snow-white fur shook like snowflakes.
Morning made a glare at him with his clear yellow eyes like the full moon above them. “How many times Dawn, do I have to tell you? Midnight is gone, he can never come back to this universe. He has been banished for 1000 years.”
“But I’ve heard from Noon that he felt his presence in his dimension.”
“What does the old hag know anyway? That fat lump has always been lazy, how would he know?”
And from their quarrel, a feminine voice from the darkness crept over to them like a shadow. “What are you males doing here?” A figure shaped in from the darkness. A black-white Siamese cat emerged with sapphire eyes as thick as blood. “Why are you in my dimension?” Afternoon sniffed the air. “How queer, I couldn’t sense any of your presence while you were here.”
Dawn shook his fur. “Mango powder. I got some from my dimension. It clears our scent and signs from almost anything. Nice huh?” Yellow dust emerged from the white fur. Afternoon wiggled her nose.
“Whatever.” She ignored Dawn and started toward Morning. “You know that the Main Shard is somewhere in your dimension. Why don’t you go there and get it? It might have a clue where Night and the other 6 shards are.”
Morning yawned again. He felt a fly buzzing around in his ear. “I know what I am supposed to do Afternoon. But it should be safe.”
“No it won’t! Go get it until a mortal touches it! You don’t want that to happen again do you?” Afternoon’s bloody blue eyes were nearly touching Morning’s own eyes.
Morning backed away. “So what do you want me to do?”
Afternoon never took her eyes off of him, like a shadow creeping up on him. “Get the shard! It might be controlled by Overdrive!”
Morning got up, still yawning. “Overdrive, Midnight, make up your mind!” He walked over to the big building with monstrous eyes gleaming down at him. And right in front of him, a great big blue portal of distorted space appeared that seemed to have replaced the house.
Dawn jumped up as if he got shot from a mortal. “Morning! Where are you going?” His eyes shook with fear, it almost looked like a blur.
Morning looked back with a sly smile on his face. “I have some business to take care of. At least that’s what Afternoon is demanding me to do—”
“It was your fault for not doing your duties! You were supposed to keep watch of the Shard!”
“Goodbye Afternoon.” Morning called to her in a teasing voice. He marched slowly into the portal and in a quick flash it was gone. Nothing moved. Except for a shooting star that just dashed across the sky.
once upon a time there was a boy named kisa.
