Well, I'm currently working on a Drapion. (jolly w/sniper) I'm and unsure of something...

His moveset is currently:

Night Slash (high-crit ratio/STAB)
Cross Poison (high-crit ratio/STAB)
Swords Dance (to boost his slightly lacking attack, incase his crits don't work)

Now here's the problem...I want to give him an elemental fang.

Fire, Ice, or Thunder?

-Fire can take care of Heracross, Scarmory, Bronzong, and the likes.
-Ice will pretty much allow Scarmory to wall Drapion, but you can't deny the free kill on Dragonite, Salamence, and Garchomp.
-Thunder will take care of any water types, which are extremely common, namely Milotic. But I don't see much use in it other than for Milotic, and the occasional Staraptor.

So here's the question...which one should I use for his final open spot? I think Fire and Ice would be the most beneficial, but I'm really unsure. Suggestions?

Just use the move your team is lacking in... For example, if you have enough Fire moves, then go with Ice Fang, same in the opposite. You can't expect of a Pokémon to counter everything, that was my main mistake as well.

True. I've got my Gengar for electric...I have Weavile for ice...but the thing is, everything fire counters can also be countered by something else. Grass is UU to begin with, but I've got Togekiss incase of that. Steel? Earthquake is so common...Fire just seems to only work on bugs. Ahhh! I'm overwhelmed. xD

I say go with fire fang. It's gota good chance of burniing, and it looks like you have the other two types covered.

[email protected] Lens/Black Sludge
Nature: Jolly
Trait: Sniper
EV Spread: 252 ATK / 200 SPD / 52 HP

Night Slash
Cross Poison / Brick Break
Fire Fang / Thunder Fang / Earthquake / Pursuit
Swords Dance / Toxic Spikes

Cross Poison has terrible coverage, so you may want to go with Brick Break instead.

You're sure Black Sludge would benefit him more than Scope Lens? Hmm...by how much exactly does the Scope Lens increase the occurance of a crit?

Ice Fang IMO. Fire and Electric are better off Special.
