KINDA SPOILER-ISH

Spider-Man 2 far exceeded my expectations. Not only am I obviously a huge fan of the character but I love the director’s work, too and the homages he put in this movie made me enjoy it ever so much. From Peter’s walk down the street to that song to the chainsaw in the hospital scene, it was such a fun ride.

There are a couple downers. I wish Doc Ock was in it a bit more and that his device and fate were explained more. And I wish a few less people saw Parker without his mask. It seems like everyone knows who he is, even though they don’t know his name under the mask. They just know his face so I guess it’s not a big deal.

But those couple downers are nothing compared to how much I enjoyed this film. The fight scenes were breathtaking and the acting was great. Seeing Norman Osborn in that mirror was haunting. I heard a collective gasp from the audience when Harry saw him. Plus that dream sequence with Peter and Uncle Ben was touching. It worked well as symbolizing Peter turning his back on his promise of responsibility.

Back to the action scenes, which I thought were amazing. Even though a couple had some faulty CGI, almost all of them were amazing. There were some scenes where I could tell if it was CGI or live-action. They certainly amped up the CGI here and it looked marvelous. The fight scenes were so intense to watch. My heart was racing during most of them, especially the train sequence. They really outdid themselves with all of this.

The various subplots were good too. I like how we are going to be kept guessing about the fallout from Harry’s two discoveries. Those will definitely drive the next movie. I also wonder how they will take the Peter and MJ subplot. Will they go the comic route or make some changes? I am not sure but I do know I really enjoyed this and thought the movie was executed close to perfection. Molina was perfect as Doc Ock, and the rest of the cast was back in their top form from the first. Maguire, Dunst, Franco, Rosemary, all of them.

The movie also pulled in alot of money last night according to SuperheroHype!. According to the site, the movie pulled in an estimated $40.5 million!

It was amazing. O.K. Honestly I don't think that's the right word, but I have a headache right now...so meh. That movie showed me that I am a pathetic excuse for a guy. I enjoyed the "emotional" or the dramatic parts a lot more then the action scenes.

Doc Ock's story seemed a tad bit unfinished in my opinion, but that didn't stop the movie in the least. Actually, it seemed like the real villain was Peter Parker himself, and all the problems he had in his life. He was in doubt from the very beginning of the film, and all those little problems began to accumulate until his worst problem, his love for Mary Jane, smashed all his hopes to rubble. It's amazing how a director can blend in the personal and intense moments, and create such a film. I'm planning on seeing it again, hehe...

Meh, can't say I liked a whole lot about it. It's good as far as superhero/comic book movies go, but it does leave a bit to be desired. Raimi never was my favorite director, and I still think he does fights a bit clumsily. Not so much as the first, but still...As far as comic book movies go, I still enjoy The Crow series moree, and I think that Batman Begins will be a whole lot better.

It was the coolest movie. Aside from Dodgeball.
There is going to be a third one. Or at least they should make one. We have to find out what happens to Spidey and MJs relationship and what happens to Harry, who finds his dads Green Goblin suit and stuff at the end.
It was good, yes, but they could have cut some of the really cheesy scenes like whenever MJ says, "Go get 'em tiger." at the end. I mean come on! Me and my friends were laughing half of the time because there were a lot of cheesy scenes.

Spider Man 2 was awesome, one of the best movies ive ever seen X3 but ive seen every cartoon episode (Spiderman from early 90s) and Venom could be the next villian cause i remember that the Venom simbeow thingy came from John Jamosons spaceship so *shrugs* I think the villian will either be Venom or the second green goblin

I heard rumors saying that there going to make spider man 3 and finish up as a trilogy
Well, I'm not sure about finishing up the trilogy, but a Spider-man 3 has already been confirmed! Unfortunately, it comes out sometime in 2007...

Venom, eh? Is that the Spider-man copycat who has a ridicously long tongue? Hehe...
I think there's a good chance for that... but it seems kind of odd to have a second Green Goblin, even if it was in the comics.

Ah, I'm still happy about the second movie, hehe...

Hehe...

Yeah, I bet it would! But, he would have to be completely different from what his dad was like. It would seem like a rehash if they kept it the other way.
