Duh, what else is there to talk about? Ninja Warrior is amazing.

Nagano owns my soul.
Nagano is my inspiration. Without him i wouldn't be exercising and be doing active things today.

To bad i cannot send in a video submission for the American Ninja Challenge. Another 4 years and 8 days =[

Oh, my... xD Looks pretty freaking difficult. Those japanese game shows...
I saw one on the news where they all had to run around dodging this wild boar... D:

Yeah... if I ever attempted any of those, I'd be in that water every time... D: Some of them look painful, like the one where you're doing the splits, or the other one where you're jumping in the air doing a half-split. It's so weird how in Japan, that's their kind of entertainment, whereas in North America, we see a bunch of game shows where people win money, and that's all. ^^

Well, the reason for that is because America is sue-happy. The Japanese have tons of weird things because they aren't easily offended nor are they ignorant and stupid like Americans.

If Americans get hurt on a show, they sue for damages.

If a Japanese person gets hurt on a show in Japan, they laugh it off because it was their idea to participate in the first place.

That's why we have no good reality shows anymore. Just cash prizes on cheesy game shows.

Hence why Ninja Warrior, MXC, this Tetris game, and others are so common there.

I hope we Canadians could laugh it off. D:

That's the thing that bothers me about North America (we Canadians are pretty much to blame, too.) We don't have a sense of humour to just laugh off things like this. If I were to show this to my parents, they would be like, "who the hell would possess them to do this?" and think that Japan was crazy or something. It's on our news, too, I was watching Countdown with Keith Olbermann and on his Oddball segment, it showed a clip from some Japanese game show. He was not impressed. We are not impressed. It's a shame, because if we did have more of a sense of humour, we wouldn't be watching the same old crap on television every evening. D:

What do you guys think of my Axel theme? I thought I would actually get a theme :)
Well? Well? Well? What'cha think?
That's not on topic...we're talking about Ninja Warrior and Japanese game shows. Not your theme.

There is a thread for theme rating. Here.

Wow, I just got done watching Ninja Warrior earlier. I wouldn't mind taking a shot at the course myself. Though, most American challengers I've seen on the show fail miserably. :\

Definitely.

I can't help but imagine how honored and excited I'd be to represent my country right before my epic failure on obstacle one course one. lol XD
At least, that's how I imagine my performance.

Can I make a guess? You were talking about.... game shows. And I had to read Klippy's last post through several times before understanding it ^^

I'd never like to participate in one! To show your clumsyness to the world... mwehe, even if I was great at such things, I wouldn't want to show myself public like that.

Deal or no deal? That sucks.... :P

Omg... you're going to haunt this thread as well now? That's it. We're all doomed. I read a trhead about the end of the world just now. I've got it, the day Beachy manages to double post in DCC or PCC without being yelled at by the mods, that's when the world will end ^^

I do watch clips from Japanese game shows on Youtube sometimes, though. I like the "human Tetris" one. XD;

they used to have Futurama (the only reason I watched it), but then Comedy central decided to revive the series and bought the rights. other than that they have shows like Family Guy, Harvey Birdman: attourney at law, robot chicken, and some others that I never watched.

Ooh~ Family Guy = LOVE
But I love House more XD

As for game shows, I like that one that came out a little while ago called "The Moment of Truth" - they drill you with 21 personal questions and if you get through them all you win $500 000 xD It's not as easy as it sounds, though. One guy got a question that was like "Did you help smuggle something illegal into the country?" and his answer was "Yes." They've got a lie detector on you, so if you lie, you lose all your money.

Those lie detectors suck. If your nervous, its going to detect you are lying. I personally wouldn't spill my guts for $500,000 .
