What's freezing? o.o
You mean like numbing or laughing gas? Laughing gas is what I love. You just feel so outside of yourself that you forget someone's pulling out your teeth or drilling them. =w=

Yea, it is numbing. I guess we just call it freezing here.

I've never had laughing gas before.

When I was younger, I got sealants on my teeth to prevent cavities. Apparently they did them wrong because they came off over the last few years, there were two cavities underneath them. ;-; I couldn't do anything about it because my brushing couldn't touch it because of the sealants. So the things that were supposed to prevent my cavities caused them.

Fortunately, I don't have any cavities. I have had four teeth pulled out along with braces for awhile...they were my canine teeth too. ;o;
Luckily I don't need my wisdom teeth taken out now.

I got my wisdom teeth out a few years back. Being knocked out for it was pretty cool, if not very, very disorienting.

I hated it because I was already immune to the painkillers they gave me. I had to go back for two different prescriptions after that because things weren't working. <_<

I've been fortunate enough to never had any teeth pulled out, and I've never had to wear braces. *Has lucky teeth*

I'm not so fortunate. I've had a few teeth pulled, braces for a few years, and now I've got permanent retainers on my top and bottom teeth. Plus the wisdom teeth the other year. :B It makes flossing such a pain.

the last time I was at the dentist I had one cavity that they had to drill out, they had to shoot my gum 4 times with the Novocain or whatever they used because it didn't work. And of course after they were done it didn't wear off for like 6 hours. (It feels really strange eating pizza and drinking milk while half od your mouth is numb)

It's hard to talk when your face is numb. XD; I had work after my last appointment and of course, I was answering phones and I was slurring words everywhere. Luckily it had worn off enough to let me speak somewhat clearly within an hour or so but... still. It was so bothersome.

I don't find I have that much trouble speaking with a numb face. Or maybe I just have a distorted version of what i actually sound like. I should record myself speaking next time I get a filling. :P

Well, overall it's not that much of a problem, but it's still hard to articulate perfectly. I probably wouldn't notice it normally, but since I was working phones, my job was to speak clearly so... I did definitely notice. XD

I had to hold my mouth shut while eating when I was numb. (considering I had almost 4 times the usual amount of the numbing drug in my mouth, I guess I should be thankful I only had to do that.)

Yeah, I guess so. :P Usually I get my fillings at the school dentist so most of the day I don't do much talking at all (being classes for most of the day), so I guess it would be harder for me to notice.

You have a school dentist? :O I've never heard of that before. Doctors, yeah, but not dentists. (Not that I've ever been to a school with a doctor.)

Must be a New Zealand thing. I've had school dentists all my life. However, they don't work for the whole year in one school.

I had my wisdom teeth cut out last August :> I was completely out of it for the rest of that day, then I looked like a chitmunk for the next week XD;

My old school had three nurses, plus a volunteer mom :x

High school's the first time I had a school nurse, funnily enough. I might've had one at primary school - we definitely had a sick bay, but I don't distinctly remember a nurse. :| I know at intermediate the photocopying room also acted as a sick bay (it wasn't a very wealthy school, but I liked it nonetheless), with no nurse. Now that I'm at high school we do, though,

I've only gotten two teeth removed, and they were teeth that were growing in front of other teeth for some reason. So, basically, they were the ones no one really cared about. xD; The stuff they put in to numb your mouth was awful after the teeth were pulled out. I couldn't have dinner because I couldn't chew the food due to the numbness of my mouth. :/

EDIT// We don't even have a school nurse. Or even a place to lie down if you feel sick. ;; Or if we do, I've never seen it before. -shot-

Ah, I suppose it is. Schools here don't have nurses, even. If you aren't feeling well, sometimes there'll be a "sick room" in the office (ie: a room with like a couch or something to lie down on) that you can sit in until your parent arrives to get you or until you feel better but that's the extent of it.

Our school was kind of like that XD; If you just complained of something like a headache or something, you didn't have to go to the nurse at all, and could just go ahead and call your parents. It made it sooo easy to ditch school XD;

I did that ALL THE TIME in my elementary school when I moved here. I hated that school so much and probably only went for half the year. (Only sometimes I actually had a headache. XD)

And they didn't even question whether you really had a headache when you were, on average, claiming sickness every second day? XD;

Nope XD The ladies in the office were huge softies, and all you had to do was make your voice sound tired, and they'd fall for it every time 8D;

Wow, XD. At the school that I'm at now, they're hellbent on enforcing attendance. If you're caught, you get six after-school detentions (one for every period missed). And we could never fake a headache to get home. :P

Luckies, at my school they just tell you to go lay down. If you really want to go home, you're going to have to be persistent about calling someone XD; I've only gone home twice since I've been in high school.

As for elementary, oh goodness. They seem to think everything can be cured by an ice pack. I kid you not, I went in with a stomach ache and they offered me one >_>
