lol I haven't heard of GIMP either, probably because I can't possibly leave my dear photoshop :P

I used to design wallpapers before, but looking at my old work now, it all looks like crap.

I've only designed 4 themes until now. I'm thinking of checking out some tutorials, but I'm always too lazy to do so. :P I guess I'll have to improve with practice. :)

GIMP is a free alternative to Photoshop, even though it is far behind Photoshop, it does support layers.

Is it much better than paint?

I have used GIMP before. I didn't like it so I got Photoshop from a friend. I haven't really used Photoshop at all. I never get the time to do it. When I get my new computer at my mums I will be using it lots. Will get used to it with practicing first till I start to make my sigs.

I've never heard of GIMP before, I suppose because I don't do much with graphics anymore. Back when I used to do lots of graphics, I used Photoshop Elements <33

Elements is the best. I used to always try my best in Paint, but I found Elements on my computer. XD;

GIMP was pretty good when I used it, but it doesn't make much sense.

I used GIMP extensively a few years back, after I had to wipe my hard drive clean (my computer had messed up spectacularly, somehow) and couldn't be bothered looking for any of my photoshop discs for a while. I actually even have it on my current computer, even though I already have photoshop as well...but that's also because I seem to have a habit of collecting and installing digital editing programs like that.

As for MS Paint, it's good really for one thing and one thing only - pixel art. :)

I started using GIMP for that reason to. My comp was wiped when it broke down and I never had the discs for Photoshop. It had already been added to my computer without the disc.

Used GIMP for about a year. Then I got Photoshop from a friend and haven't used GIMP since then.

I think GIMP is a simpler version of Photoshop. With less options and stuff.

*high fives*

It's weird, the program is so beautifully simple, yet there are other programs out there better suited (like Paint.NET), but I can't bring myself to use them.

As for MS Paint....when it comes to picking colors, that's when I dislike using it x.x;
And the 'Draw Opaque' function unchecked MUST clear everything and not make the surrounding area black x.x;
It's alright for simple things.

\o/ I know!

I used to use other programs, but then I started pixeling in MS Paint...now I find it awkward to use those, and tend to run back to Paint if I can. XD

Though I wonder how much I'd like Paint.NET...I installed it on another computer (which has died by now), but I never got a chance to really try it out since I kept forgetting I had it.

Yeah, same about the colors. Picking colors is really the only thing I dislike about it. :x

Adobe and MS Paint rock. <3

Once I finish my homework, I want to try making lots of Sweeney Todd things. I've collected enough images for some graphics and refs. for sprites. <3

So do I. I love the Tim Burton-Depp collaborations. Edward Scissorhands was one of my favorites, along with the humorously morbid Corpse Bride. I highly doubt I'll be disappointed by Sweeney Todd.

I love my Adobe Photoshop CS2 and ImageReady CS2...

Sweeney Tood. Pffft. Go watch Donnie Brasco, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Blow, or Once Upon a Time in Mexico.

Personally, I found Johnny Depp to be at his best when not involved with either Tim Burton or Disney.

Sweeney Todd has gotten great reviews as expected, Depp is certainly perfect for the role. Anyway, how can you possibly go wrong with a Burton thriller starring Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman and Johnny Depp?

Metacritic's page on Sweeney Todd

Really looking forward to see this.

Filmmaking is an art, and art is a matter of perspective, but really, that just made me crack up. Sorry, no further comment about this. XD

Yes, art is indeed a matter of perspective. My perspective just happens to be radically different from yours.

Speaking of collaborations between Johnny Depp and Tim Burton, who here has actually seen Ed Wood?

I have. It's hilarious, I love Johnny there. Great, great film over the life of such an unique director.

EDIT: I assume we both are not professionally qualified to discuss that matter... I understand opinions may be different, and apologize if I was rude, but man, you just can't compare any of those films in which Johnny has participated to performances and credits like the very own Ed Wood, Edward Scissorhands, or Ichabod Crane, from films that owe great part of their success, transcendency and quality to Depp himself.

Am I the only one who doesn't think it's even interesting? As for the horror element, not really enthused. *shrug* I really want to see Juno.

That actually looks like a really good movie. Juno, that is. Sweeney Todd also looks good.

The movie I'm most excited for is...CLOVERFIELD.

Cloverfield... Read a really great review by Harry from Aint it Cool News. I really trust his opinion, and apparently the movie is "utterly brilliant".

I'm most interested not in the monster itself, but in the perspective of the film. It's apparently the civilian point of view, with footage all collected from Central Park.

And he tells us it is not a freakin' antropomorphic whale nor Godzilla. That's fair enough for me, I wasn't really looking forward to see either.
