The weather's generally bad here, the wind and rain doesn't make it very pleasant. But it does get better around late-Nov to January.

Hehe, Ottawa got its first snow of the season last night. Finally, eh? ^^

And I had to get up at 7 AM to get to school for a test, before the snowplows had come out. >>

What? I'm so jealous of you guys. Here, we always got tons of snow in November when I was little. That's like, fifteen years ago. Now we hardly ever get snow on Christmas eve, and if we do, it only sticks around til new years eve and then it's gone again.

I blame the climate changes! I BLAME THE BIG CARS! :<

The last time it properly snowed, I was about 6 and it was April. Me and my brothers made snowmen - it was awesome.

The last time it snowed properly here was around 7 years ago. Everytime it's snowed before it's been that rubbish stuff which melts as soon as you stand on it D;

Mm... but still, then you don't have to do the shuffling work, and get your feet frozen over when you don't put on the right shoes x3

*googles the conversion*

Yeah, that's 15 C. XD; It's not hot, but I'd definitely take that over the snow we've been having today.

Only three countries still use the old system: Liberia, Myanmar, & the United States. The rest of us used to use it too, but we converted to the cooler system ages ago. And just because of you Americans, we have to learn the conversions....though I still don't know what a gallon is, XD. So yeah, please stop using that system, please. =D

And come on, what's easier to remember....1 mile is 5280 feet, or 1 kilometre is 1000 metres? XD (for the record I had to google the former =P )

And the temperature conversion is C = (9/5 * F) + 32

Canada isn't exactly a gold standard though. :( We're like the only country where a lake will be a kilometre wide and 50 feet deep. Even so, metric >>>>>>>> imperial.

I think the US is actually shut off from things. Self Absorbed. Like in school, when we learned about other countries, it was always stuff that happened years ago. But Other countries keep up with us... like, there are so many that know about the election going on. XD;
Maybe that is why we haven't switched... we just don't care?

Remember the way I was, for me.

I don't like our system either >_< It's really clumsy, and awkward feeling. I even tried to learn/use the metric system, but since everyone else in the US uses the Imperial... it makes it kind hard D:

Well since I grew up with inches, feet, gallons and pounds and such, they are pretty natural to me. That being said, I think we should just go ahead and adopt the metric system like everyone else. It would probably make things a whole lot easier for everyone =P

I think the US was supposed to switch over to the metric system at the same time Canada did back in the 70s, but so many people in the US were against it that it fell through. And no political movement has been made in the US to really change it again so... you guys are the only ones that use that confusing system. :(

We already learn how to use the metric system in school...might as well just switch to it entirely. Americans must be too lazy to learn how to measure things differently XDD...

Or they just don't want to have to share it with us Canadians. I mean, c'mon; who wants to share something as important as a 'system of measurement' with another country, eh?

/obvious sarcasm, but somebody won't pick up on it. :/
