Hey, I'm not really sure where to post this so I hope it's okay here. :)

I want to breed a Chansey with great IV's, and the move Seismic Toss ... but the only way for Chansey to learn that move as far as I know is the move tutor in Emerald.

If I was to import a Chansey from Emerald with that move, and breed it with a Ditto - would the offspring still keep the move? :)

Yes it will but you have to make sure the Female is the Chansey and the other is the Ditto.

Aren't all Chanseys female? <_<

But in answer to the question, yes.

Why don't just breed it in Emerald ?!
When you got the IVs you want, you import it...

Simple =D

I think only males can pass down moves?

Wrong. Only Egg Moves TM moves, and level-up moves known by both parents are passed down. Seismic Toss isn't any one of the three, so it can't be passed down. You'd have to breed in Emerald, then teach Seismic Toss to the one you want to train.

Even if Seismic Toss was breedable, all Chanseys are female. Only males can pass down moves.

airconditioning has the right answer but this should have been posted in the Breeders Corner anyway.
