If you want Hitmochan to do serious damage with the punches, EV it in attack, since those are physical moves. here's how I Ev train pokemon:
1. Put 10 of the vitamin(protein in your situation) on my pokemon.--I find this more effective to do first. You will not see results on Hitmochan if it has a lot of evs on it already, and it needs 100 more evs until it reaches the 510 ev limit.
2. Get the power bracer from the Battle Tower's store. (I believe it is 16 points) This gives you more EVs than macho brace, since it specializes in attack. Ignore the part where it says it will decrease the speed stat. What that means is in battle, if Hitmochan has it on, it's speed is decreased.
3. You can either EV train at Valor Lakefront with the Super rod, fighting against seaking and Gyrados(2 evs each, and 4 with power bracer) that is also the same way with the Bibarel in that grass by Turnback Cave. (4 EVs equals a stat point.)
