What to do if your capital sucks in Civ 4? Build wonders at size 4 and move the palace to a city at the edge of the tundra without food resources!
Spoiler:

I started isolated here and am trying to go for a cultural victory... not quite a thing I am good at, better players would have won by now while I am still quite a bit away from it. But the fact that my land is relatively sucky (I have an extremely food poor ex-capital which only became decent when I build Moai Statues to get hammers from its many water tiles and that happened pretty late, two food-rich but riverless and production-poor specialist cities, two cities with not a lot more appealing than some fish, this cottage paradise and lots and lots of Tundra and Ice in the north) is a good enough excuse, isn't it?
And, in case you wonder, I'm not Huayna Capac but Ramesses of the Incans. That was probably a bad idea, but...

I'm currently playing Plants vs Zombies again and go ahead for the 100% completition. But getting the complete Zen Garden is making me go insane.

As side-projects, I'm playing Pokémon White and a Pokémon Diamond 0 experience run. Pretty fun.

Is it just me, or are these huge branched trees in Minecraft the most obnoxious thing in the world?
I decided to finally build a funtioning drop item generating machine, and because Wooden Planks are among the easiest things to amass in huge quantities, I'm building with them. About 1/3 of a formerly almost empty Plains (then again, in that I consider Plains the huge trees seem to be more common, also it rains a lot.. maybe it's a rainforest I cut down long ago and forgot about...?) and Savanna area is now covered by the currently still one-story building, the rest is now forests. Oak forests, I should have picked Birch or Pine trees instead since they can't become that huge. Yes, huge trees might yield more wood and saplings per sapling, but they just take forever to cut down, there's always one block of wood somewhere in a huge pile of leaves left. But back to my project: The first and most important floor was already finished, and I decided to do the basement next, so that's what I did - foolishly, I didn't build it deep enough and partially out of wood as well, which the lava that was only supposed to kill the monsters spawned in the dark upper parts of the building set on fire. Fortunately, not the entire thing burned down. So, I have to replace the lost wood, build a new basement in a greater depths, and then I might start thinking of adding extra dark floors. Ugh, this is gonna take eternally.

moments.

So I just got a copy of Civilisation IV which I have only played one game and didn't really know exactly what I was doing, but it seems pretty fun! So I'll definitely be playing that, at least over the next week or so!
Need to look up some articles or something and see what I'm actually meant to be doing... xP

Xenoblade Chronicles...again. This is my second playthrough, and I aim to do everything. I've been averaging five hours a day on it for the last three weeks, it is just THAT good. I can't remember the last time I played such an incredible game, and I am so very very glad it came out over here.

So I decided to try how well I would do in a Raging Barbarians Huge Marathon speed game in Civ IV. So how well did I do up to now?
Spoiler:

Not very
Copper was far away from my start, and I lost the city near it, Edirne, before I could even mine it because I stupidly settled it so that the copper was in its second ring. A better long-term city, but... So, no Axemen for me, and I decided to tech Archery way to late. So, Istanbul fell to something like a Spearman and an Archer shortly before that tech finished. Luckily I had settled that island city, Ankara, somewhere in the meantime so I wasn't completely dead yet. It took a long time, but I managed to get one and later a second city on the southern continent, which either belongs to 1-city-Saladin or dead Hammurabi, I don't know. So, after consolidating with lots and lots of Archers (that little mountain ridge between Bursa and Konya is a godsend, and so are the lakes south of it), I moved my Palace from Ankara to Konya in order to remove these ugly colonial costs. I also founded another city on my old home continent, which has Iron and is easily defensible by a chokepoint. So, next I'll try and settle as much of the southern continent as I can, Woodsman Axes will be a great help here since barb Swords easily kill Archers outside of cities, except maybe Guerilla Archers on forested hills. Wonder dates are telling me some far away civs are doing a lot better in tech than me, and especially the guy who built Great Wall will probably be far, far ahead in every regard. But my goal isn't winning the map anymore, that's impossible, my goal is the reconquista of my two first cities, a race against time. Not only a question of whether I can get Catapults (first I want Crossbows though, for security) before the barbs get Longbows. Oh, and if someone is doing well, gets Astro and sends over some Maces and Trebuchets or anything better, I won't have a chance at ever getting my cities back either.

Persona 2: Innocent Sin (ENG/PSP) - Recently came out, I played a bit of the Japanese one I got not half way, but close to Half way done, but I deleted those files and I got the English version. So Imma be playing that for a few, but Xillia comes first :)
