I hadnt heard about that, and i sincerely hope it never happens. Sounds like a collosal waste of money, god knows what they would base it around lol
Don't look in the brackets:

It IS a waste, but you're lucky (too late). A commercial is being made (was made) in 2008 (too late, 2006) about it and I didn't see it (... so terrible).
Don't think about looking it on Google (really, don't)

Supposedly, there's a rumor that I've read where one last expansion pack for TS2 will be created. What it is, I don't know. Of course, someone might have gotten confused and thought that the person from EAxis meant Kitchen and Bath Stuff?

And the expansion packs make the game more fun. I just got FreeTime, and I enjoy the new careers, objects, and options that come up. As for Seasons and University, they just make the Sims more realistic. Finally, no more constant sunny days.

I really wonder about that Sims movie. So far, no one has made any mention of it, so I guess that the fans (at least those that I know, and I know a lot) aren't interested in it.

Yes, some expansions were useful.. Others weren't.
I have everyone of them until seasons. I'm sure if I add one more, it will stop working ^^

Do you think there's going to be stuff like different seasons and pets in the Sims 3, or do you thinks they are going to make us buy expansions for all those things like they did in the first two games?

An expansion pack for the sims would be a new "game" that is installed over the original one, yet can't function without it.
For example, "Seasons" was an expansion that introduced weather to the game.
"University" gave sames a new life phase.
etc.

They could have introduced that stuff in the original game, but they didn't. That's what expansions are for... to make more and more $$$

Well from what I can see, the graphics still look pretty much the same, never the less, I'd still buy the game. XD I'm a huge Sims fan.

There does seem to be a little improvement on the graphics side of it, I must admit that I like the free roaming neighborhood too(something new and seems interesting) I also like the custom item coloring and designing(well that's in Sims 2 to and extent x3)

Other wise it looks like it's going to be a little bit better, though I must admit I still prefer The Sims and all its expansion packs(I've got them all) and when Sims 2 came out I couldn't really get into it but I did like the new interface, character creation etc, but they lost out on some of The Sims better things.

Otherwise, I'm excited and I'm buying for sure. 8D

Awesome, I've always loved the sims since my sister got the first one way-back when. Fufilling needs was always a chore though, and I hated being secluted to 1 lot. this is gonna be awesomw!

I loved the Sims 2, and played it constantly.. till the disc cracked two years ago, about two months after we got it. :|

Anyway, I've been looking to get a laptop of my own, and I need to be sure it can play this game before I make a definitive purchase.

tl;dr: I hope we get some sort of list of expected specs in the coming months.
