So folks, when do you know/or have found out your having trouble with your computer or computer parts?

I found out its time for a new DVD-R when I have to press the button three times on my current Lite-On drive to get it to open. Or my Crysis DVD does not activate right away when I put it in and it really grinds.

I found out that i need a new laptop bcuz my old one kept saying "you need to plug your laptop into the wall socket or you will loose all of your work" but it was already plugged in to the wall. so now whenever it says it i have to adjust the plug in the laptop and it eventually goes away.

You're a dummy head. :3

@Jaimes: Linux.

Well, I found out that both my DVD drive and my CD-RW drive were dying a while ago.
The DVD drive would only open after about 7 (!) presses of the button, and now it flatly refuses and also can't be opened with a paperclip, and the CD-RW drive kept failing to write the correct data, but it can still read fine.
Also, my floppy drive just fails at everything, and my Wireless USB thing got crushed (sure sign it was broken, lol), the DVD-RW drive in my laptop broke itself 1/2 way through a linux install... You name a problem, I've probably had it ;)

And in some cases, fixed it!
Plz not to PM me, I don't come here often enough. Email if you need me

You know you need to replace your screen when you see a solid color line of pixels going up your screen or everything turns to a red/green/blue shade of color.

Had that happen on a 17 inch Gateway screen, dangest thing I ever saw.

When in Microsoft Vista, your Creative Sound cards default Microphone port is Blue, not Red. And you spend an hour figuring out what it is...XD

Could also be dodgy video memory.
Na, thats a blown monitor 9/10 times. I've seen it, not fun.

Nothing ever goes wrong with my PC.
Unless your a god, I doubt that. Nothing is ever perfect. Even on my machine, when I do dual monitor, sometimes Media Player Classic decides it does not like the other screen, and crashes. The other day I had an issue with my dual monitor settings, they were fine for months before, just a random freak out. Nothings perfect.
