Hey I have A problem,It may be long but i really need it fixed!

Whenever I open my Laptop the screen goes black but for some reason it goes back to normal when i shake it and it works in some places like up against a chair or something like that,Then the other day the screen just went black everytime I turned it on,now,Even if I shake it it still dosent come on.The lights under the screen are lit up(The Battery light and the z with the circle around it light)those are supposed to be on.
Then I decided to hook my laptop up to other screen (using the adapter i have)
and i hooked every single thing up but it still dosent work.
My dad said maybe i need a new battery.

Can anyone try to think how I can fix this?!
If you need to know:My laptop is a Microsoft XP IBM

Please help guys,This is a big problem

P.S.///// ALL MY POKEMON HACKING STUFF IS ONE THERE!!!!!!!!OMG!!!!!

Thank You.

then the best suggestions I could give (depending on warranty validation) are:
If your warranty if still valid on the machine, definitely call tech support and see if they can schedule a repair for it.
If the warranty has expired or is not valid any other way, I'd suggest investing in a new machine. you could take the new machine to someplace like Best buy and see if someone like the geek squad agents can transfer the content of your existing hard drive to the new one. (they will charge a nominal fee, like I think $20- $30 to do it, but I'd say it's worth it, seeing as they know what they are doing.)

(Also you might want to try not using that random filler of letter jumbles, that's not earning you any brownie points with some of the staff here, as well as it's slightly against the rules to use filler like that. next time just fill in with stuff like a thank you or providing more information for those helping you)

just so you know there is a chance that when yo do get your new computer you could get an enclosure to turn your old Hard drive into an external for added storage, It'll cost about the same as having the contents transfered, but you could also transfer the contents yourself and reformat it so you could have it as a backup drive or added storage. (since it's a laptop you'd probably be looking for a 2.5" drive enclosure. I've found them pretty cheap on places like Tigerdirect and Newegg)
