I've come up with an idea for a team, and I have decided the lineup I'm going to be using:


I pretty much took the last team, and edited it, as it was mucked up with two physical walls etc.



[email protected] Sash
Adamant Nature (+Atk -Sp.Atk)
Super Luck
EVs: 252 Atk 252 Spe 4 HP
Swords Dance
Sucker Punch
Psycho Cut
X Scissor

I don't care what you say, this thing works like magic as my lead. I can always get in a SD or two, and then a STAB Sucker Punch will often KO a bulky Gyara lead or Mence. Very high chance of a crit hit with Super Luck, and Psycho Cut with it's high crit rate. Upon the sight of Abomasnow or Tar leads, I will either try an X-Scissor, or switch to this guy:

The idea for Vappy is to set up RD, for the whole of the rest of team to benefit from. Can also begin to sweep with STAB + RD powered Surf and Ice Beam. Damp Rock will help the teams RD and I'm not sure what can fill the last slot out of those three moves. Sets up:

Kabutops with Swift Swim in rain will outspeed almost everything and with Life Orb and STAB Waterfall and Stone Edge, it's not exactly unreliable. Max Def EVs, so I don't faint easily either. It's got great coverage, and is a Blissey Killer, so I'm pretty happy with this Sweeper.

This is where I begin to get uncertain. I want Gardevoir to act as a bulky Special Sweeper. I don't know whether to inflict status problems, or to boost my stats, which will work best? I also might use Gardy to maintain the Rain Dance effect.

My good old Physical Wall! Pretty standard, does it's job well. Thunder over Thunderbolt due to Rain Dance, and Fire Blasts power will be halved due to the rain, so I'll use the last slot as a backup Rain Dance, or I'll use it for Shadow Ball, to counter deadly Psychic types.

Special Sponge, also the only thing on the team that sets up any form of Spikes. The similarity with Vaporeon makes me want to make the movesets as different as possible, so I think I'll go with Sludge Bomb rather than Ice Beam. Rapid Spinner and Spike setter.

Thanks, please rate etc, though note I do not intend on changing the Pokemon themselves, so please son't recommend that I should do so, unless you feel it absolutely necessary.

Weather leads absolutely destroy this, especially the ever-common Hippowdon. I would go Life Orb and probably woudn't lead with it. Skamrory can just waltz right in there and spike the field on you anyways.

Ironically sets up opposing Kingdra to 6-0 you. Vaporeon needs it other slots in all honesty, this just seems like a dead weight besides the Rain set-up anyways.

I would probably scarf this one. Weavile absolutely decimates this and all of a sudden opposing physical walls are laighing at this team.

You can't even switch in on psychic types, so Shadow ball is pretty useless. Also, Thunderdance is awful, and Thunder really isn't going to help when it misses and this is your only Gyarados counter. I don't see what Rain Dance is doing on this either, it doesn't really fit.

It would say it is necessary, this team doesn't function well.

The OU metagame simply takes this team to the slaughterhouse. Azelf 6-0s this team (Absol is a very shaky switch into this considering U-Turn and Flamethrower). Dugtrio traps and kills half your team as well, which is no help.

You lack a rock resist, meaning Tyranitar and others playing with their STAB rock moves pretty much smash through your defenses. Weezing isn't reliable against the CBtars of the metagame.

Offensively, I'd probably give it a pass, despite it being extremely repetitive. My real beef with this team is how weak defensively it is. Most special attackers absolutely drill Tentacruel and Weezing can't wall everything. I suggest taking out Vaporeon or drastically changing its set.

I would also get rid of gardy, who serves little purpose here besides a physical wall killer, and STAB Earthquakes from Donphan hurt. I would put a special wall in its place, since that's the main problem.

The Absol and the Gardevoir are a nice addition to the team.

--Weezing's Shadow Ball....is pretty much useless. This is just my opinion.

--Tentacruel's Rapid Spin? Doesn't that just do a small amount of damage? Shouldn't you have a Super Move with his high attack power? Plus with his swift speed.
Maybe you can add an item to increase his accuracy.

Well, don't listen to me...Just wanted to give my few cents in.

B) Whats the point in increasing the accuracy of a set of 100% accurate moves?

I have no idea why I didn't post them :S

If I went with a Fire move on Weezing, should I use Fire Blast or Falmethrower? Because the majority of the time, rain will be falling, which brings Flamethrower to about 45 damage and Fire Blast to about 60.

@DarkBandit: Like Gofre said, Rapid Spin gets rid of Spikes and Rocks. Tentacruel doesn't have huge attack power either O_O And could I have a reason why Shadow Ball is useless?

Well, rain is only hurting Weezing if you're running a fire attack. Just run Tbolt/Sludge bomb. works well enough.

Also, Shadow Ball isn't good because everything it hurts scares Weezing's socks off. Hitting them on the switch-in is cool and all, but it has better things to be doing and they usually don't switch in fearing Sludge bomb or even Explosion.

Well, there is one thing and one thing only that I want to tell you about this team.

I personally think that Relicanth outclasses Kabutops in a few ways:

1. Kabutops' ability requires a waste of a move on your team to activate, Relicanth's doesn't.

2. Relicanth has the stronges rock move in the game, and it's STAB. Not to mention that it doesn't take any damage from the recoil because of it's ability.

3. Relicanth PWNs.
