Not that anyone cares, but I updated "Who Shot Brendan Birch?" with chapter thirteen. I actually have to update that fic at ff.net though. Speaking of ff.net, I think I got banned from there for awhile. ^_^ I don't know why, but I think I did for the past few days.

That's how shadowphantomness gets banned a lot because of her championshipping and people don't like it and blah so they report it. FF.net doesn't bother to read the fic that are reported. OMG, now you could ban anyone you want now lol. But yeah, I think someone did that to me so blah.

Lileh be gone? She's still with us in spirit though, so don't be sad frosty. :P
Heke?! Banned at ffnet? Must be the server! But anyways, I'm glad you're working on your fics again after months of writer's block....

I currently have it as of now

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's have it to an extent.
Heke?! I'm getting confused... is ffnet currently down at the moment?

Well, I just posted a new "fic," so to speak, but you should only read it if you're really interested in the origins of Brendan. Otherwise, don't even bother. It's too risky. >_< Hey, I'm serious! You guys are laying your lives on the line, I tell you!!

Hmph. Anyway, it's here. Read it at your own risk. And you might not want to review. It might draw attention to you, and that's the last thing you'll want, trust me. -_-;

Okay, here's a challenge: I know most of you couldn't care less that a new chapter of Worlds Away has been added but I promise it's gotten soooooo much better since frostweaver gave the first 4 chapters (mind you, the real plot isn't even revealed until chapter 10) a 75. This latest chapter, chapter 13, is one that I loved to write so much. If you haven't been reading, just read that one chapter for me and post comments about it. That way, you don't have to read the entire thing, just that one chapter. Sound fair? No, it's not fair but that's what I'm willing to sacrifice for someone to just read chapter 13. Alright? Come on, people. Here's what others had to say:

The plot thickens. Your description and writinghas improved quite brilliantly; bravo! You deserve a very large cake for this. ^^ I love how you've described Jirachi.
Mm, I liked this. Jirachi finally confronted Jack, things are being revealed and developed nicely. Yay.
Wow, pretty interesting! I am eager to see how (blah blah blah = spoiler) will affect the rest of the Fic. I wasn't even expecting tha(blah blah blah = spoiler). Also eager to see how Hyper-Chu is affected by this.
Chapter 13 was excellent; in fact, I enjoyed it just as much as the last chapters of L.O.A (chapters that had never-ending, gripping action) and I loved reading it thoroughly
Now I like this chapter! A few comma errors, but nothing big, and the action completely held my attention. Its just too bad I read the reviews before the chapter, so I already knew (blah blah blah = spoiler), but still, thats cool, as well as his power with the Book of Destiny. But did he get those powers because he wasnt meant to be in that world? Either way, just try not to abuse em.
This, so far, has been a very interesting read. ^.^ I know everyone said it, but I'll say it anyway: I love (blah blah blah = spoiler), and I loved Jack's referral to 'Pokey man.' XD lol
Yeah, I hope you all will give this chapter a chance.

Just to let you know (and for anyone who still cares), I'll probably work on the second revision of Hoenn Mirror World after my finals are done. I have a summary already made out on the first chapter, and I'll put down notes from chapters two to whatever (I have a feeling that the second shard battle with still be lousy, though). I'm hoping that everyone will give this story a chance despite how badly written the first two editions were.

before Niko closed that hisana guy's thread, I was about to ask..... what the hell is he talking about? These transcripts he speaks of, would they be something similar to my style of scripts? And just what does he mean by writing the "opposite of a transcript"? Does this mean turning a script to a narrative? I'm curious to know.

I think he meant fics that are just like Pokmon episodes, and writing something that's the exact opposite of a typical Pokmon episode.

I thought so too. It sounded kind of interesting to me, actually. For example, say something like this happened in an actual Pokemon episode:

Ash and company find a wild band of dunsparce, and each try to catch one. Ash succeeds, but Brock and Misty fail miserably. Pikachu tries to welcome the new addition to Ash's arsenal of pokemon, but gets rewarded with a silent glare of contempt.

Team Rocket had been hiding in the bushes nearby, and follows the band of Dunsparce as they escape Ash and Co., thinking they can capture the whole lot of 'em and get in good with Giovanni. Unfortunatley, the Dunsparce are paralyzed by Arbok's glare attack, and it looks like they will be captured. But then, (unpredictably, as always) Ash and crew discover Team Rocket's plans, and fight with them. It looks at first that their vastly superior and better trained pokemon will lose to Jessie and James' pathetic ones, for some undisclosed, odd reason. But then a miracle occurs, and the Dunsparce snap out of their paralysis. They all attack team Rocket at once, and through the wonders of teamwork, they send the evil Jessie, James, Meowth, and all the other Rocket 'mon "blasting off again." The End.

Now, using that guy's idea, this is what the new form of the episode could be like:

A band of wild dunsparce was travelling, and since they hate their life of freedom and worry-free days, they decide that they need to get themselves caught by some trainers so that they can live their lives out in a large system of cock-fighting and enslavement. They happen upon our heroes, and immediately beg Ash to catch 'em. (Heheh. Obligatory "Ketchum" pun inserted there) But Ash refuses, since he hates owning Pokemon, and using them in battles is a horrendous bore. Misty and Brock catch them all, though, because Misty wanted some new Pokemon to feed to her Gyarados, and Brock needed some more to skin and turn into fine threads for picking up guys (yup, he's gay. You all knew that, right? No girlies for this manly man!). Pikachu, in a fit of jealousy, kicks a bunch of them in their little faces, and he is rewarded with much snuggling and purring.

Little do our heroes realize that their plans have been overheard by those evil Team Rocket twits. They decide that they must free the Pokemon from Misty and Brock, because since they're evil, they want the Pokemon to remain free, alive, and unhappy. They wait for our heroes to fall asleep, and steal the Pokeballs while the good guys are sawing logs. They sneak away into the woods with them and open up all the pokeballs, freeing the mortified dunsparce. They then begin to give all the traumatized pokemon free food and a bunch of money, while Arbock smiles kindly at them. Those fiends! And because the bad guys always win, the poor dunsparce have to remain masterless, and live out the rest of their unhappy days rich and well-fed. The End.

Keep in mind that I wrote all of this in the span of like, twenty minutes, so grammatical errors and dry humor should abound. Have fun pickin' it apart if it'll make ya happy. :P But that's really just to give an example of what I thought he meant by his description.

Oh, is that what that guy meant? Reversing POV, and actions? That might be nice, actually~

Wow, did anyone even read my post? I get no response. Nothin'.

Anyway, here's a good question that I think will be beneficial to everyone on the fanfic forum:

What is the biggest impediment when it comes to reading a fanfiction? Or, better stated, what turns you off from reading a fanfic?

Answer this question when you post, and it will serve to enlighten and better any author that reads it. Good idea?

Audience: Eh.

My biggest turnoff is when I see that Billy5772 is the writer :) But seriously, I hate it when the fics dont have any originality and have horrible sentence structure that doesnt flow well. It also turns me off seeing writers getting their heads WAAY to inflated and going crazy whenever they see constructive critisism
Wow...my writingness has changed since my last siggy. That is all.

Crappiness. Or script fics. Tends to be very little difference.

Joking aside, what do I hate most...? I hate when authors refuse to accept criticism. When I see someone benefit from 500 reviews all stating, "ONG DIS IS DA GRATEST TING EVRRRRR!!11one" I'll change my mind.

Hehe, 'tis a complex question.

For me, horrible grammar and mechanics are probably the biggest turnoffs. It takes a very determined person indeed to slog through pages of mispelled words, missing punctuation, and awkward wording; I usually can't take it for very long. To the same extent, bad formatting can be an instant turnoff. This could include words in crazy colors that are hard to read, demon scrollbars, or long paragraphs with no spacing (this is my pet peeve...chunky paragraphs make my head hurt -_-).

Then, of course, there's personal preference/bias. Some people have certain characters/couplings/genres that they always want to see or, on the other end, can't stand to have in a fic. As a result, a fic that uses a well-liked character/shipping/whatever may skyrocket in popularity, even if it isn't as well-written as a fanfic that doesn't. This may be unfortunate, but there's no accounting for the will of the masses. ^_~

Me, I like to see innovation in characters and plot. Stories styled after Ash's journey without any real twists get kinda boring after a while, as do original characters whose personalities correspond just a little too closely with those of the Twerp Trio (I'm not a big fan of those three, I'm afraid). I also dislike blatant Mary Sues (heh...don't we all?) and OOCness in non humor fics.

LOL at Iceking. Whatever. Here's mine:

That pretty much sums up my whole criteria for reading a fic. I can do with the occasional spelling or grammar mistake as long as it doesn't make the fic unreadable but if there is not originality it's like "Hey wait, haven't I played this fic on my GBA before?" I hate that.

Keep 'em comin' folks!
