1: Dream Theater

2: They are very technical and progressive. Almost classical, yet METAL. Everyone in the band is just...way too good at what they do.

3: Octavarium is my favourite album right now because it was so thought out and GENIUS! There are eight songs on the album, averaging about fifteen minutes each. The first song is in the key of F, the next song is in the key of G, the next is in the key of A, etc. The final song is the octave, also in the key of F.

4: Currently, my favourite song is The Ministry of Lost Souls, on the album Systematic Chaos. It's just a very visual song, and complex in musical composition.

5: Some grand lyrics are from Octavarium, from the album... Octavarium...

"(Root)
Our deadly sins feel his mortal wrath
Remove all obstacles from our path

(Second)
Asking questions, search for clues
The answer's been right in front of you

(Third)
Try to break through, long to connect
Fall on deaf ears and failed muted breath

(Fourth)
Loyalty, trust, faith, and desire
Carries love through each darkest fire

(Fifth)
Tortured Insanity; a smothering hell
Try to escape but to no avail

(Sixth)
The calls of admirers who claim they adore
Drain all your lifeblood while begging for more

(Seventh)

Innocent victims of merciless crimes
Fall prey to some madmen's impulsive designs

(Octave)
Step after step, we try controlling our fate
When we finally start living it has become too late"

I'd love very much to ramble on about the complexity and depth of those lyrics, but I've typed quite enough as it is.

lol From what I can see, I'm a bit of an outsider with some my music. Haha it's pretty normal though, I listen to a bunch of bands that either a. no one's heard of before or b. people stopped listening to like three years ago. For the most part lol but there are some exceptions. Alright, top four favorites:

1. Papa Roach <newer stuff is better than older stuff, but it's all good
2. Simple Plan < just plain amazing??
3. Hidden in Plain View <they broke up in 07(i think 07) and so im never going to see them in concert. they even toured with Simple Plan once.
4. Cute is What We Aim For <currently on a Cute kick (have had 'Moan' stuck in my head for a week)

Other amazing artists:

Story of the Year
Nevershoutnever! <this guy is awesome. period.
The Starting Line
Boys Like Girls < saw them live - they is amazing
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus < 'Your Guardian Angel' is THE best love song ever
Danger is My Middle Name
Awake and Dreaming
Secondhand Serenade
Amber Pacific
Hotspur < amazing live band, you should definitely check them out!
The Fallout Theory
Brand New
Yellowcard
Above All Else
The Hint <catchy music that still has meaning
A Thorn For Every Heart
Thursday
Disturbed
Taking Back Sunday
Three Days Grace

Linkin Park <used to listen to a lot more than I do now - I like their old stuff much better
All Time Low
The Academy Is...
Good Charlotte
American Diary
Taylor Swift

Those are basically my favorites, although I listen to a few songs by other artists, those are my top... however many.
