Bullying and you, how's it?

That's it.

Were you bullied, are you being bullied by someone, or are you even the one who seriously bullies people?

This is pretty serious topic.

A little advice for those who are being bullied in the school, clubs, or within any kind of group: Don't keep it for yourself. Don't let your parents be surprised when you come home with broken bone, your books torn apart and your clothes suddenly dirty for no apparent reason. Tell it someone you can trust, solve your problem. Go to another school, if you need. Share your opinion.

For those being the bullies, you should know that your victim has serious trauma from you. If it makes you satisfied, it is really bad and you should think about yourself.

For those who were bullied, and it either stopped or you "fought" the bullying, well done. It's great that you have no problems anymore.

Share your opinion, even if you only were an eye-witness to it, or you want to talk about the topic.

About me... I was once bullied, but I wasn't quiet and shared my problem with teacher in the school. It helped me a lot. I have no problems anymore. Sometimes I see someone bullying a kid or other teen or so and when I see that, I am trying to help the victim as much as possible.

I get stupid people who think it's funny to try to talk to me like they're my friend or something, probably digging for me to say something really stupid or weird or loser-ish, because I'm one of the 'weird kids'. That, or they'll pull crap like "LOL MY FRIEND LIKES U HE THINKS UR HOT GO OUT WIT HIM" , probably expecting me to be as deperate to get laid as they are and to actually care. And, funnily enough, they only do it when they're with their friends. They always stop if all their friends leave. xD

I found that ignoring them doesn't really work. Whenever I tried it, they made a game out of trying to get my attention (taking stuff off my desk, saying increasingly inappropriate things about me, et cetera). :\ The thing that works best is just responding with "yeah, mm-hmm, whatever...". Or, one I really like doing - if they say something that's trying to offend me, I'll look at them like I've never heard anything so stupid in my life and then start laughing my ass off. It works even better if I'm in a group with my friends and we all do it. They usually get really self-conscious and walk away. xD

At least I have the satisfaction of knowing that my grades are probably much better than theirs and I'm probably going to amount to much more than they ever will. <3

I've been bullied and have bullied others.

The teachers at my retarded school think name-calling is bullying. Oh my, I have bullied quite some people. BTW, I'm in middle school, so those teachers need to catch up with us kids. <_<

then this group of girls are making lesbian comments at me O_O
(WTF?)
I forget what I did... I think I said "STFU" to them :p
They didn't shut up though >.>

Meh, I think I'll try to go to another school... and NOT make a complete fool of myself.

Okay, I've been bullied for a while, of course none of this I enjoyed. The best advice I could give to anyone who's being bullied, is the obvious seek-an-adult. If not, you could always get the local school cops \o/(Which is an instant win right there).

It doesn't happen to me anymore, cause local school security is like, tight, and anyone caught bullying will face serious consequences. Let me emphasize that more.

Deadly consequences.
Do you live in a bad town or something, because I only know one kid that went to a school that has cops, unlike your school cops his are on bicycles!
I don't have school cops, thank God. I don't need a donut eating fellow who believes he is above the law watching me like a painting.

Last year, a girl kept pinching me, hitting me, etc. Because she thought I was "weak", and such.
She'd punch me, I'd say "Ouch" and she'd get pleasure. But it wasn't because she didn't like me, we were actually pretty good friends. But it got so bad, that when I would walk down stairs, if she was behind me she'd try to push me down the stairs.
So finally her mom told her to stop, and that day:
"Oh yeah, I won't be beating you up this year."
"0_o, good to know..."

I've been bullied. For all I care though, people who bully me can just go crawl into a firey hole, die, and never be reborn. ;/

And just to go into a tad more detail, it was e-bullying. I was twelve and my former best friend and I got into a fight and she kept telling me off. I'd block her, and she'd go on another screen name. When I was done blocking all of hers, she went on her friends, then a worthless account that I believe she had just made. After that, my Stepfather made me block all people on AIM until I approve them. Like myspace, I suppose. I'm not friends with her anymore, incase anyone is wondering. I eventually saw that what she was bullying me for was really immature, and I actually matured from it. Even now I'm way more mature than she is. It's a shame though; how these friendships break up from one's decision to bully D:

It's been long but we can do it; let's make this our dream

Look to tomorrow because it's all we have. Turn up the music until the walls shake. What do we have?
Is it hope? Love? Is it nothing at all? We won't know at all until we make something of what we feel.
When that happens, we'll find the truth. We'll find what we want. And we will find ourselves, finally.

I was bullied, because I was the only Asian at my school. T_T;

It wasn't bad bullying like something racist.. They just made up strange names for me, took my things, asked me weird questions, kept asking me for money because apparently, I'm rich.. It was really annoying. .__.'' And no one else seem to be getting picked on, so I assumed it was because I was asian.. o.O;

Oh, seems as this discussion is growing quite a bit.

For example, Slovakia's schools have no school cops. I've never heard about it. It may be useful in some cases though, but it's never that bad to have them here always for sure. Anyway, I am sorry that I forgot to add the "Was never bullied" option. Those people are lucky then. Anyways, I don't think that name-calling (except racist-sounding nicknames) can be completely classified as bullying. We nickname each other in our class and it's okay I suppose. If you get silly nickname, you can always live with it. Until it gets to something racist, of course.

Cheers!

Yep, I was bullied when I was maybe..6? I was in 2nd grade and my bully was a boy in 6th grade, not really cool ._. I was babysat by his lousy mother who never did anything when he was being a jerk. He'd hit/punch me, call me names, shove, and just in general be mean. I dealt with it for a year or so and I never wanted to tell anyone because I felt I'd get in trouble and stuff. So finally my mom asked how I liked being babysat there and I told the truth. My mom yelled soooo much at the other mom and I never saw that kid again \o/

Then in 8th grade I got caught up in drama and rumors spread and almost ended up transferring schools. Bullying is tough, but once you come clean about what's happening things can get better :>~

I was bullied when I was in Grade Five. It was the worst year of my life, because I was just targeted without reason and picked on. And she got a couple of people to hate me for no reason (although, thankfully, the following year, those people became my friends). It was the worst feeling to get bullied, and I'm glad the problem resolved by Grade Six.

I was a bully, too, which I completely regret to this day. I used to pick on this kid who got teased by everyone in our grade back in elementary. I can't imagine what he went through (and still kind of goes through now). Me and him are cool, now, but I still feel awful for what I had him go through back in elementary.

Bullying really needs to stop. How many of you have heard of the kids who have killed themself because of being bullied so much?

I've been bullied before. Because I'm friends with people who are "uncool", some who are bisexual, because I have short hair.. And if you count sexual harassment as bullying, I get a fair share of that too.

Most of you probably know my, uh, not quite as nice side. Yeah, I'll admit I too can be mean. But only if someone hurts my feelings first. I'd NEVER hurt someone for the fun of it; I don't FIND fun in it.

Anyways... yeah. Really think about it the next time you hurt someone. :/

It's never been a major issue for me, probably because I've been home-schooled for the better part of my life. I had to go through grades 1-3 in public school, but back then most of the kids were actually pretty nice to each other. We never worried about getting our lunch money stolen, or punched in the face for no reason at all. :/

I'd probably be an easy target if I were in school now, though, since it doesn't take much to make me cry. I'm just naturally gentle and more tenderhearted than most people my age. That's why I feel sorry for all of the kids that get picked on... There are so many jerks out there.

Due to the fact that I was the butt of many jokes about height and glasses during my entire elementary years (yes, that's right, everyday at school from 1st grade through 6th grade) I know what it's like to be bullied. even though I was never physically bullied being mentally bullied is just as bad, if not wore. I've been to the edge of running away and cutting before. I've wanted to do it so bad. I've turned that page though, I've forgiven those who bullied me. I feel I am a better person for not losing hope that it would not continue forever. I stand today as a testament that bullying can be overcome, but the one thing you will never hear from me is that bullying is right, neither is fighting back. Fighting only makes things worse. probably the best course of action is to ignore it as much as you can. eventually they will slip up under the nose of someone who will make them pay for it.

I've been one of those victims of bullying pretty much all my life. From the time I started kindergarten to graduating high school, I always had some sort of trouble. Most of the reason is because of how I act. Not that I act in too odd of a way, but it's just that I'm extremely introverted, and never talked to anyone. And once I entered high school, the bullying got to be more about how I looked.

But aside from a brief few months three years ago, I never let bullying get to me. As it happened, I would ignore it, and once they saw that it wasn't affecting me, they stopped. It was the better way for me to deal with it, since the teachers really didn't care at all as to what happened in the classrooms.

Of course, in high school, a few friends and I would also poke fun at a kid we all knew. We never said it to his face, and treated him kind when we saw him. But then he started acting rude to us for no reason, and that was the end of us bullying him. We just ignored him completely at that point.

Now, I don't bully anyone. I'm not out there being anyone's friend, but I don't put down a person for any reason. I always give them a chance, following the philosophy of "I treat you the way you treat me". It's saved me some trouble.

I've never been bullied myself, but I see it nearly everyday at school. It's pretty much devided into those who are very good at sport and those who aren't, which is sad. =/ I hate that.

Oddly though, a lot of it are amongst girls. You cannot, and I mean you CANNOT walk past a group of girls here without hearing at least one of them criticising or insulting another girl's appearence.

I once got bullied, in year six, by a guy I thought he was my friend. Mainly, he started throwing fake rumours about me, and even teamed up with some oter people to try to attack me. I'm actually very proud of how that ended, because, I challenged him one on one and, for the end of the year, he was the one who was crying and hiding from me.
Some years later, we regained our friendship, but I'm sure I'll never forget that.

After that, I have never been bullied again, except for some stupid braindeads making me stupid questions. The thing is, since I was the one who ended up laughing at them, nobody has dared to do that again.

I've never been bullied, but I have stopped these kids from bullying the class nerd. I didn't mean to intervene or anything, he just started hanged out with me and my friends and they sort of disappeared.
