Hah, very few of my friends know of PokeSupe, or even play Pokemon much now. I don't mind too much, but it's nice to be able to chat with others about it. My friends see what little I own when they visit my room, but they don't taunt me about it. =)

Most of my interaction involving Pokemon IRL is with my sisters. I've introduced them to the manga, but most of my friends don't read comics much, so I try not to be pushy. I had another friend a while ago who I talked a lot of game and card chatter, but we drifted and he he moved to Kentucky last year, so we haven't spoken much. Guess that's just a common problem with smaller fandoms, at least if you want to talk to someone semi-close to your age.

But I won't deny it, I've had some of the cutest conversations with little kids who just go nutty when "the big techie girl" can talk Pokemon with them. So much fun. XD <3

Finaaaally leaving office. Carpooling is good for the environment, but a little inconvenient when your ride has to stay later than you. |D

You're pretty lucky. xD I pretty much keep my Pokemon obsession to myself, because no one I really know well plays the games or even watches the anime. Nobody I've talked to IRL even knows there's a Pokemon manga. :<

Oh, and there's been an update on Serebii about Volume 29~ All summaries & scans credit to Coronis from Serebiiforums. Oh, yeah, the white spaces in the text are scans (I think.) >P

Spoiler:

With the reversal of the 5 Dex Holders petrifaction, the 10 Holders unite, and Silver, having remained conscious throughout his petrifaction, quickly teaches his Feraligatr the ultimate water attack. Ever since Gold placed the metal ring on his arm while he was still a statue, he kept focusing his mind on the ring, and having seen Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald train themselves in the invisible house, he has pictured Feraligatr inheriting the attack, which is why Feraligatr manages to learn the attack within an instant, the quickest among all Dex Holders' starters (Gold sulks because his Explataro took 2 whole months on Two Island).

Gold gives Red his outfit back, as well as his old insulating gloves, and Guile sends the Battle Tower's rentals into rampaging. The 10 Dex Holders send out their Pokemon to fight, but the sea monster washes against them, and lurks in the sea. While they are figuring out how to lure it out, Emerald comes up with a plan and tells Gold, but then Guile interrupts and snatches Jirachi again. He claims that although he tossed it away earlier, he didn't officially release it, which is why he is still its genuine owner. He commands a Doom Desire on Emerald, but Red's Poli pushes Emerald out of the way and takes the attack.

However, Guile soon discovers that it was only one of Poli's Double Team bodies that received the attack, and while he is distracted by Poli, Gold's Politaro sneaks upon him and knocks his sword away. Guile sends forward Walrein and Surskit (who evolves into a Masquerain) to fight back, but the two frogs easily knock them down, and with a combined smash, breaks Guile's armour.

Gold sends out Pich to join Pika and Chuchu, and the three together lure out the sea monster. Archie says the rampaging rentals will give them a hard time, but it turns out that while he was occupied by Poli and Politaro, Emerald has sought the help of Latios, Latias, Todd and Scott, stretching his clumps of soil across the entire Battle Frontier to create a giant seal, calming every single rampaging Pokemon in one go.

The three triple ulimate attacks are then fired, followed by the combined Volt Tackle of Pika, Chuchu and Pich, successfully dispersing the sea monster. Ruby comments that the Green Orb Emerald wears was originally designed to control Rayquaza, and this immense power of suppression has allowed Emerald to calm the few hundreds of rampaging Pokemon at the Frontier in one go. It is also revealed that the soil which Emerald used for the giant seal came from the Faraway Island, collected by Mr. Briney and passed on to them from Brinca. Since Mew is the ancestor of all Pokemon, Faraway Island is essentially the birthplace of all Pokemon, which is why its soil managed to calm any Pokemon.

Emerald spots Archie in the waters and pulls him out, and the man reveals to them the origin of his armour and sword. At the end of Sootopolis battle, while he and Maxie were about to perish inside the air-car, Storc appeared on her Starmie, taking them into a mysterious light, and complimented their evil nature, which she found a pity to let go of. She pointed out that their bodies were no longer able to sustain themselves due to the effects of the Red and Blue Orbs, ready to rot upon a light touch, but showed them a set of armour and sword, the sword named Instant for its ability to reflect both physical and special attacks of Pokemon, and the amour named Eon for creating a a state of eternity for the wearer, much like how the Mirage Island works. Unfortunately, there was only one set, and Archie and Maxie had to fight for it. Archie ended up claiming the set, and Storc decided to give him a new name. Guile (Gairu) actually comes from the combination of 'Gai' (armour) and 'Ru' (flowing), which signifies that he is a person wearing an armour, chasing the flowing energy of the sea.

There are many hints here that Storc is very closely related to Team Galactic. First, she wrote Guile's name on a card with a black feathered quill pen, pretty much like how Cyrus signed his name for his package on the Cycling Road. When Archie and Maxie were about to fight, Storc mentioned that they were escalating their 'thrift' to another level. The word 'thrift' is constantly used by Cyrus. Also, after Archie picked up the sword, Storc recited the line 'If you bear your sword to bring harm upon us, with claws and
fangs, we will exact a toll', which is from the Veilstone Myth documented in the Veilstone Library in the fourth generation games. Many speculate that Storc may turn out to be Jupiter, but judging from her attitude depicted here, I'd say she'd be more closely related to Cyrus than Jupiter would be, maybe an even higher rank secret Commander, or even a sibling of Cyrus?

Anyway, back to the plot, Archie makes his last attempt to hold Emerald back by Masquerain while he looks for the armour, but the one he ends up finding is the faked one worn by Gold. Before he manages to reach out for his real armour, he vanishes together with the armour and the sword in an intense light. The way Archie perishes here reminds me of how Platinum's bodyguards did at Veilstone, so maybe Archie isn't dead afterall and just vanished into some other dimension? The fact that the armour and sword are gone too seem to suggest something.

With Guile Hideout defeated and gone, peace is restored, and Emerald falls asleep while the other Dex Holders surround him. Latios and Latias watch from above, and recall their pact to keep Emerald company until he finds his true companions. Now that he has people who would care for him like brothers and sisters, they have fulfilled their promise, and return back to the Southern Island.

The next morning, Emerald wakes up at the accomodations, and goes pee out of the terrace again, which causes Crystal to yell at him. Sceptile and Dusclops hug him, and the other Dex Holders explain that Emerald's other 4 Pokemon are busy acquainting with their same species. Emerald proceeds to gel up his hair again, when the 7 Frontier Brains arrive to thank him for everything. The Johto trio and Pich meet Raikou again, and Anabel rewards Emerald with the Ability Symbol, since Emerald did climb the Battle Tower and played by the rules during his challenge.

Emerald soon learns that it's already July 6, which means he has only 1 day left to finish the Dome challenge. He and Todd run past Anabel to Tucker, pretty much like how Ruby and Sapphire run past the Pokemon Association's Chairman at the end of the RS series. Tucker points out that the Dome challenge must be held in the form of a tournament however, and Red instantly gets an idea, making the somewhat shocking statement that the 10 of them shall take part in the tournament then. This scene resembles the shocking statement he made at the end of the Yellow series when he said he and Yellow should just live together since Pika has become acquainted to both of them.

Scott greatly welcomes the idea, but Gold mocks that he is just trying to draw more attention to his Battle Frontier. He also yells at him for holding up the third wish of Jirachi, but Scott reveals that he has already made the wish. The Dex Holders look out to the sky to see Jirachi ready to go back to sleep, and Sapphire, with her perfect eyesight, copies the Star Symbol words she sees on Jirachi's tag, and Green, with his knowledge on the language, interprets it for everyone, which asks for more than 100 thousand visitors on the first day of the Battle Frontier's opening. As the four ships from the four regions make their way to the Frontier, Jirachi wraps itself back into a star-shaped coccoon, and returns to another 1000-year sleep.

One month later, Oak has recollected the 10 Pokedexes for a final upgrade for a new version Dex he is working on together with Prof. Rowan, who is a senior of Oak. Crys recalls the tournament they had, and says she quickly lost to Blue in her first match. Oak sees the many photos, and learns that they were taken by Todd. He personally calls up Todd, and bestows upon him a mission to visit an island inhabited by Pokemon and take photos of them there. Apparently, this is the Pokemon Island in the Pokemon Snap game.

Crys spots a picture of Guile, and remembers Archie's final moments. She tried to ask about the origin of the armour and sword, but Archie only managed to say 'Gin' (likely Ginga, the name of Galactic) before he perishes. Finally, Crys sends off an email to Rowan, inviting him to come over to Kanto for the last stage of working on the new Dexes. The last scene shows the completed Frontier Pass of Emerald, their group pic after the tournament taken by Todd, and the 10 Pokedexes.

In the preview section of Vol. 30, we see the Manzai comic featured in the second DP chapter (VS Bidoof) and sixth chatper (VS Combee).

Last but not least, the cover and backcover of Vol. 29.

How interesting! Although I shouldn't be reading them since I haven't started on this arc yet. :P That's an interesting comment to make about Sird. She does strikingly resemble Jupiter. So does this mean that at Vol. 30 we're leaving the 10 holders and focusing on the DP arc now? I'm getting confused as to why we already have summaries for DP when they're not in a volume yet...and Coronis has posted stuff about DP that the readers "shouldn't" know.

hey guys... Look at this:

Is that IMPRESSIVE? 8D~
G-GYAAAAH! It's....it's just too overwhelmingly beautiful~! ;___; There's no way a little kid like Masa could scrape up enough money to afford all that! TT^TT What an awesomely dedicated fan. I want to stalk meet them. Although that Oldrival book/poster/picture thingy in the bottom right corner is somewhat disturbing. O__O

Anyways...yay, random fan art. RaltsShipping~ <3 And the colored panels are awesome. *_*

I may be late with saying it, but...Welcome, Gelly! 8D Yes, it's sad how PokeSpe has such a small fandom. :< Small, but extremely crazy and dedicated. >3 When Masa used to go to public school, there was no one to talk about Pokemon. ;_; ...Well, there was this one Japanese kid I knew when I was little. We were really good friends until he moved back to Japan, and although I have his e-mail address, we haven't talked in more than seven years. x__X But it's always fun to get people into PokeSpe. I've actually manged to convince a few people to become fans~ Tehehe.

Spoiler:
Yay, Pokemon Snap reference~ 8D

Ahahaha, Crys lost to Blue. xD That makes Masa laugh for some reason. o_o -really wants to read volume 29 nao- ><

Anyways, Pikataro's right~ We desperately need a new topic... o3o

Ok, so I finished FR/LG just now, which in my opinion thought was short, and need a two things straightened out. What happened to Mewtwo when the holders became petrified? And where is this Oldrivalshipping scene that I've heard so about? Something about Blue collapsing or something...

Frankly I see neither Chosen or Oldrival in this saga. Nor Special. There were not the slightest of hints.

I also want to read volume 29 since it is not sold where I live at. Excuse but is that last book listed that Green is touching Blue's Breast and her underwear seems to be exposed. :Ugh:

I look foward to reading the Diamond/Pearl/Platinum arc after I finsh read volume 29. The Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn pokedex holders will probably meet up with the Sinnoh dex holders much later in the arc. Also anyone think that Professor Oak will appear in Eterna City later on in the arc like he appeared later on in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum games.

I just thought of the most pathetic topic possible >.>

Say the PokeSpecial characters were to find the games their names were based after, and began playing them. How would they comment on the differences between their experiences and what the game has them go through?

Idk ><' Keep in mind FR/LG can be part of this, though Blue wouldn't be able to play one of those... Same with Yellow or Silver...

DOn't forget about emerald... He isn't in the games either
No, no, no >.> Emerald would play Emerald, Yellow would play Yellow. They'd play the games their names were based after. It has nothing to do with if they were in the games or not. And I guess Red would play Red or FireRed while Blue will play Blue or LeafGreen (since "Leaf" is the female character of LeafGreen).

But yeah, 'tis all I could think of. When we get 10000 posts, then we could probably come up with another topic.

Eh, I'll bite this. I wasn't too interested in the hats and shoes topics before... ^^; That is if I can remember my Blue version...

Say the PokeSpecial characters were to find the games their names were based after, and began playing them. How would they comment on the differences between their experiences and what the game has them go through?

Red/Green - They would be mildly amused by the original games and Fire Red Leaf Green, of course, Green would secretly own two versions of Leaf Green JUST to play as the girl on one of them KUFUFUFUFUFU. (Although he's still pissed that the boy sprites all look like Red)
Red would train a 1337 team of Pokemon on all of the games and spend the rest of his time in the battle tower. Oh and beating the Elite 4 over and over again just to beat see Green get defeated. (Green: .............)

Yellow: Pikachu version makes extremely happy Yellow. Because 1. A pikachu follows her around and she can see its expressions, 2. she can get all 3 of the starters in this game, 3. sprites look way better than the other older games, 4. she's playing as Red omg!squeeee

Blue - Would rage because there isn't a girl character in her version. But then again, she could enjoy both FRLG because she can be a girl in each of them and have Green has her rival ^^

Gold/Silver - As usual, Silver would be angry that he only gets Gold as the playable character. And he would be appalled at what an a$$ he actually is in the beginning. Gold would treasure his version and always say how awesome he is.

Crystal - Would be amused at Eusine, and Silver, and wonder where Gold is. And be angry because she couldn't get all the pokemon with just her version.

Ruby/Sapphire - Would find it strange that they only encounter Team Magma/Aqua respectively in their versions, and Ruby would of course, win the contests and spend 50+ hours beating the game while Sapphire beats the game in 10 hours.

Emerald - Beats the game in 8 hours, then spends an ungodly amount of time training pokemon for the battle frontier. Sapphire and Ruby would also play this version and agree that it's much closer to what actually happened to them rather than their respective versions. Sapphire would marvel at the moving sprites and squee at how cute they are.

In short, they'd all be angry some way or another, except for the Hoenn trio <3

Thanks people, your are cool.

That collection is really impressive, i was like: O.O i want some to! (except that one with Blue and Green... >.>)

In my contry everyone thinks that pokémon is for kinds, when i say "im going to read the poké special", first the laught: "pokémon! Chid!" and then they ask: "what the hell is that?"
It's depressive -__-
Mind asking how old you are? ;D But I understand your irritation... I hate it when people think Pokemon's just for kids. Seriously, they've never played the games or read the manga. -.-; Well, people around me know I'm crazy about the manga and like Pokemon and stuff. That couldn't be any different, seeing as I rant 24/7 (exageration XD) about it. But~ outside my friends and family nobody knows this obsession. And why would they need to know ;D

That's the thing with shippings. When you're completely sober and objective, you realise there's never going to be a canon ship. Or something close to it. But~ since 99% of the people here isn't like that, we spend most of the time ranting about shippings and the many, *cough* many hints that are there.

So~ this Oldrivalscene is my favourite scene in the complete manga. =D And yes, Green falls in Blue's arms, how romantic <3 But well, I guess you can read it as just 'Green is tired, Blue is there, she catches him.' But that's half the fun, hm? Besides, I do think it's a shippinghint cuz... well, I just believe in this shipping XD

And there were a lot of Specialshipping hints in FRLG... perhaps you're too sober 8D And Chosen in FRLG, hm... when he gives her clothing for example. And probably other things too.

And what happened with Mewto, ehm... I dunno O_o Perhaps that will be made clear later, but I'm not so far yet. (I've read till 27) Guess he too is petrified? But the makers didn't feel like drawing him XD That wouldn't be as epic as five petrified heroes, right? XD

Eh, I'll bite this. I wasn't too interested in the hats and shoes topics before... ^^; That is if I can remember my Blue version...

Hahaha, I love this. You're absolutely right. I'd kill just to be in the same room as them playing these games. Red and Green would very serious business indeed. Till he's being caught at playing as Blue Gold/Silver would more be like... shouting. And then making out *shot many times*

Red would beat Green and ravish the feeling. Grinning obvious to his right. Very obvious.
Green would sulk because he can only play as Red. But that said, he trains his Pokemon above level 60 before the first gym. ("Why don't these stupid *** obey me?!")
Blue would finish the game as first. Cheats have always been her best friend
Yellow ... there is a Yellow game, right? I've never played it. But she'd be all freaked out when she saw herself. ("Ah, someone magicked me in this box, how can I come out?!"
Gold would still be in Newbark Town after 10 hours playing. He just can't believe how cool he looks... if there just was a mirror in the games so he could change the hair a bit...
Silver throws the play in the bin when he sees he can only play as Gold. ("Stupid kid'). And he's being way too emo in the games, he thinks. "I've changed, you know!" -burst of laughter from Gold-
Crystal'd trade with everyone so she can get the Pokedex complete (in less than 10 hours).
Ruby would complain how boring the game looks. ("Why don't my Pokemon have fabulous pink ribbons?!") Well, there's always the glittering marker to pimp the outside, of course.
Sapphire would jump on her DS trying to cruch the foe - and then shout in joy as she find it broken. "I've won, I've won!" (Nobody bothers to answer).
Emerald wonders why there isn't a sprite that looks like him. Perhaps it was too small to be visible
