With the reversal of the 5 Dex Holders petrifaction, the 10 Holders unite, and Silver, having remained conscious throughout his petrifaction, quickly teaches his Feraligatr the ultimate water attack. Ever since Gold placed the metal ring on his arm while he was still a statue, he kept focusing his mind on the ring, and having seen Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald train themselves in the invisible house, he has pictured Feraligatr inheriting the attack, which is why Feraligatr manages to learn the attack within an
instant, the quickest among all Dex Holders' starters (Gold sulks because his Explataro took 2 whole months on Two Island).
Gold gives Red his
outfit back, as well as his old insulating gloves, and Guile sends the Battle Tower's rentals into rampaging. The 10 Dex Holders send out their Pokemon to
fight, but the sea monster washes against them, and lurks in the sea. While they are figuring out how to lure it out, Emerald comes up with a plan and tells Gold, but then Guile interrupts and
snatches Jirachi again. He claims that although he tossed it away earlier, he didn't officially release it, which is why he is still its genuine owner. He commands a Doom Desire on Emerald, but Red's Poli pushes Emerald out of the way and takes the attack.
However, Guile soon discovers that it was only one of Poli's Double Team bodies that received the attack, and while he is distracted by Poli, Gold's Politaro sneaks upon him and knocks his sword away. Guile sends forward Walrein and Surskit (who evolves into a Masquerain) to
fight back, but the two frogs easily knock them down, and with a combined smash,
breaks Guile's armour.
Gold sends out Pich to join Pika and Chuchu, and the three together lure out the sea monster. Archie says the rampaging rentals will give them a hard time, but it turns out that while he was occupied by Poli and Politaro, Emerald has sought the help of Latios, Latias, Todd and Scott, stretching his clumps of soil across the entire Battle Frontier to create a
giant seal, calming every single rampaging Pokemon in one go.
The three triple ulimate attacks are then fired, followed by the combined Volt Tackle of Pika, Chuchu and Pich, successfully
dispersing the sea monster. Ruby comments that the Green Orb Emerald wears was originally designed to control Rayquaza, and this immense power of suppression has allowed Emerald to calm the few hundreds of rampaging Pokemon at the Frontier in one go. It is also revealed that the soil which Emerald used for the giant seal came from the
Faraway Island, collected by Mr. Briney and passed on to them from Brinca. Since Mew is the ancestor of all Pokemon, Faraway Island is essentially the birthplace of all Pokemon, which is why its soil managed to calm any Pokemon.
Emerald spots Archie in the waters and
pulls him out, and the man reveals to them the origin of his armour and sword. At the end of Sootopolis battle, while he and Maxie were about to perish inside the air-car, Storc appeared on her Starmie, taking them into a mysterious
light, and complimented their evil nature, which she found a pity to let go of. She pointed out that their bodies were no longer able to sustain themselves due to the effects of the Red and Blue Orbs, ready to
rot upon a light touch, but showed them a set of
armour and sword, the sword named Instant for its ability to reflect both physical and special attacks of Pokemon, and the amour named Eon for creating a a state of eternity for the wearer, much like how the Mirage Island works. Unfortunately, there was only one set, and Archie and Maxie had to
fight for it. Archie ended up claiming the set, and Storc decided to give him a new name. Guile (Gairu) actually comes from the combination of 'Gai' (armour) and 'Ru' (flowing), which signifies that he is a person wearing an armour, chasing the flowing energy of the sea.
There are many hints here that Storc is very closely related to Team Galactic. First, she wrote Guile's name on a card with a black feathered
quill pen, pretty much like how Cyrus signed his name for his package on the Cycling Road. When Archie and Maxie were about to fight, Storc mentioned that they were escalating their 'thrift' to another level. The word 'thrift' is constantly used by Cyrus. Also, after Archie picked up the sword, Storc recited the line 'If you bear your sword to bring harm upon us, with claws and
fangs, we will exact a toll', which is from the Veilstone Myth documented in the Veilstone Library in the fourth generation games. Many speculate that Storc may turn out to be Jupiter, but judging from her attitude depicted here, I'd say she'd be more closely related to Cyrus than Jupiter would be, maybe an even higher rank secret Commander, or even a sibling of Cyrus?
Anyway, back to the plot, Archie makes his last attempt to hold Emerald back by Masquerain while he
looks for the armour, but the one he ends up finding is the faked one worn by Gold. Before he manages to reach out for his real armour, he vanishes together with the armour and the sword in an intense
light. The way Archie perishes here reminds me of how Platinum's bodyguards did at Veilstone, so maybe Archie isn't dead afterall and just vanished into some other dimension? The fact that the armour and sword are gone too seem to suggest something.
With Guile Hideout defeated and gone, peace is restored, and Emerald falls asleep while the other Dex Holders surround him. Latios and Latias watch from above, and recall their pact to keep Emerald company until he finds his true companions. Now that he has people who would care for him like
brothers and sisters, they have fulfilled their promise, and return back to the Southern Island.
The next morning, Emerald wakes up at the accomodations, and goes
pee out of the terrace again, which causes Crystal to yell at him. Sceptile and Dusclops hug him, and the other Dex Holders explain that Emerald's other 4 Pokemon are busy
acquainting with their same species. Emerald proceeds to
gel up his hair again, when the 7 Frontier Brains arrive to thank him for everything. The Johto trio and Pich
meet Raikou again, and Anabel rewards Emerald with the Ability Symbol, since Emerald did climb the Battle Tower and played by the rules during his challenge.
Emerald soon learns that it's already July 6, which means he has only 1 day left to finish the Dome challenge. He and Todd
run past Anabel to Tucker, pretty much like how Ruby and Sapphire run past the Pokemon Association's Chairman at the end of the RS series. Tucker points out that the Dome challenge must be held in the form of a tournament however, and Red instantly gets an idea, making the somewhat shocking
statement that the 10 of them shall take part in the tournament then. This scene resembles the shocking statement he made at the end of the Yellow series when he said he and Yellow should just live together since Pika has become acquainted to both of them.
Scott greatly welcomes the idea, but Gold mocks that he is just trying to draw more attention to his Battle Frontier. He also yells at him for holding up the third wish of Jirachi, but Scott reveals that he has already made the wish. The Dex Holders look out to the sky to see Jirachi ready to go back to sleep, and Sapphire, with her perfect eyesight, copies the Star Symbol words she sees on Jirachi's tag, and Green, with his knowledge on the language, interprets it for everyone, which asks for more than 100 thousand visitors on the first day of the Battle Frontier's opening. As the four ships from the four regions make their way to the Frontier, Jirachi wraps itself back into a star-shaped
coccoon, and returns to another 1000-year sleep.
One month later, Oak has recollected the 10 Pokedexes for a final upgrade for a new version Dex he is working on together with Prof. Rowan, who is a senior of Oak. Crys recalls the tournament they had, and says she quickly lost to Blue in her first match. Oak sees the many photos, and learns that they were taken by Todd. He personally calls up Todd, and bestows upon him a mission to visit an island inhabited by Pokemon and take photos of them there. Apparently, this is the
Pokemon Island in the Pokemon Snap game.
Crys spots a picture of Guile, and remembers Archie's final moments. She tried to ask about the origin of the armour and sword, but Archie only managed to say 'Gin' (likely Ginga, the name of Galactic) before he
perishes. Finally, Crys sends off an email to Rowan, inviting him to come over to Kanto for the last stage of working on the new Dexes. The last
scene shows the completed Frontier Pass of Emerald, their group pic after the tournament taken by Todd, and the 10 Pokedexes.
