Too afraid to sleep with the lights off? XD;

After you watch a scary movie is there a certain action you do when trying to get to sleep? Do you leave the lights on? Sleep with a certain plushie? Stay up all night and hope you can find the boogey monster? XD;

There was one time when I was about 10 years old, it was the only time I was freaked out by a scary movie, and it was the exorcist. I slept with my lights on, my TV on, a few stuffed animals near me, and I managed to have a bad dream. XD;

Other than that though, I'm not afraid of scary movies.

first off why was I watching a scary movie? 0_o
but anyway if I did I'd most likely come on here for a few hours until I've forgotten the movie.

The only movie that's ever scared me has been Final Destination.
I turned my overhead fan off so Death wouldn't make it fall on me in the middle of the night. ><;

I'm slightly stuck-up and aesthetics-obsessed, so it's highly unlikely you'll see me use anything but shiny Pokemon.
Deal with it. :]

A scary movie I saw was one of those Halloween movies with the scary dude in the mask that can't be killed. It was last year on Halloween night, so when I slept, I had a baseball bat near >:

Another scary movie I've seen was one of those Freddy - Jason movies. I forgot which one it was, but it freaked me the hell out.

I am so bad with scary movies. I don't do anything big like sleep with stuffed animals or anything, I just try acting like I didn't think it was scary and try not thinking about it. Which usually doesn't work XD;

The only time I ever slept with the hall light on was after I watched The Toothfairy, because y'know, she can't get you if have the lights on >_> But oh it was terrible, right when I went to go to sleep, my hall light went out DDD:

I'm not afraid to sleep with my lights off. Monsters can't get me if I hide under the covers. :>

Really, though, at the most, I'll be a bit paranoid about walking around in the dark, and if I'm at my computer I might look over my shoulder occasionally. I won't have trouble sleeping.

I'm not at all afraid of "monsters" and what not. It's just like, when stuff pops out of nowhere unexpectedly it scares that crap outta me. Like in 1408, when that lady with the ax or whatever just pops outta nowhere... But things like that aren't really related to being scared of the dark, so I have no problem with scary movies.

I've never been scared by a horror film before. srsly.

I live alone, so I turn off all the lights and watch scary films in the dark. I actually want to get scared to see what it's like.

Never happened though, I can't help appreciating that I'm watching a well made (though completely unrealistic) movie and my subconcious is aware that it's not real, so symptoms of being scared never occur.

I've never been affected by that kind of stuff due to my lack of remembering stuff. :<

I've watched so many countless scary movies in the middle of the night, lights off and everything and I've always had a good nights sleep after. :D

I know it's not real, so it doesn't affect me. But if I watch something that is real, like a documentary about people getting killed, then I'll have nightmares. Like the time I watched a documentary about the Columbine massacre late at night, then I had a nightmare the people came to my house and tried to shoot me. :<

I'm not really that interested watching scary movies, especially the extreme horrors. I tend to not sleep so well the night after watching one. x_x
Usually, I just try to forget about it and think about other things.

Well, I almost never watch horror movies, I don't really like them. But I usually leave my light on for an hour or so after I watch it, but by that time I've completely forgotten about it and am more interested in whatever I'm doing then, so I just go to bed with the lights off XD;

I saw Jurassic Park when I was young and was scarred for life, couldn't sleep for a month, always thinking raptors were still alive and out to get me, yes the lights were always on. I havn't seen a scary movie since.

I just refrain from watching horror/scary movies, period. They are not my type of movies. Though if I do happen to see one these days, I probably would sleep normal, nothing really changes. Though, if it was during my Jurassic Park days, I wouldn't sleep and have every light on in the house.

LMAO, good times.

Slasher films and such help me sleep, actually. It's the psychological thrillers that keep me up all night. I lie awake, thinking about it, pondering many a thing relating to that film.

When I saw Cloverfield, I didn't speak for three hours afterward. Not because I was scared, nor shocked, but I was stunned at how amazing of an ending that movie has. <3

that Darkrai movie still haunts me to this day... O_O

what I did? I ended up staying up until I couldn't help but fall asleep... I kept the lights on, and made sure I kept Piplup with me :p
