Thunder and lightning, because NY doesn't get that many natural disasters. A few months ago I was woken up by a series of extremely loud thunder claps. I looked out my window and it turned out half of the block had woken up too.

well let's see I slept through Hurricane Charlie, and I've seen tornadoes touch down, and I've been through a number of heavy storms that dumped 13 inches of rain in 10 minutes. this would be a hard one. I guess the only real disaster I haven't lived through is a major earthquake and a flood.

We get floods a lot, usually from leftover rain that blows in after big hurricanes. But we don't get hurricanes themselves because we're not by an ocean, and there are too many mountains here for the tornado thing to work very well, so we really just get rain and snowstorms.

I've never experienced any of those.

I hate it when it's really REALLY hot though. Like I'm going to die of heat or something. D; And usually that means bush fires and whatnot.

I have witness night-time at 3pm! O_O

Weirdly, I haven't experienced any of those... Just floods and thunderstorms and more floods... But I do experience hot weather, which is worse in my opinion...

Hurricanes aren't scary, they're fun as hell.

I love sitting through hurricanes. I'm way above sea level and I can laugh in schadenfreude at everyone else's damages.

Also, it's great to see Mother Nature exact some right vengeance on people that hurt her.

You forgot blizzard...

Yeah blizzards in my area tend to be bad as it can pile a lot of snow. But I love blizzards due to the fact they leave a crap load of snow behind and I like seeing crap loads of snow fall out of the sky at high speeds. I also like to see the trees being played with by the ferocious winds of the blizzard...

I think it's a tie between two events.

- There was a small tornado only a few miles away from us. Did very little damage, just removed some shingles and broke some windows. Over where we were, it was a bad thunderstorm. This was in December...
- When I was little, there were several blizzards. At least one knocked out the power where we lived. One was on my parent's wedding day. Our car got stuck. XD;;

The weather never gets very interesting over here. Probably severe gales of about 60-70mph is the worst of it, with gusts of up to 100mph. Blew off a few roof tiles, up-rooted a few trees, a few people killed up north from up-turned vehicles (sadly) but usually deaths are a rarity.

Maybe following that is the odd snow storm or black ice... but again it was tame.

Then there was a heat wave and a drought... people over here aren't used to hot weather so there were a few cases of heat stroke, couldn't use water excessively. But it was probably nothing compared even with the average temperature of somewhere like Spain.

Heh... the weather over here is... quite safe.

Well, we picked a good time to move out of Chicago. I heard they had an earthquake and a snowstorm that piled up over the roofs.

And one time I remember that a tornado warning was issued through Chicago. I was trapped in the YMCA. The wind was really strong so it flipped my umbrella. <_< Oh, and that time it snowed... in June. ._.

After I moved, it was this drought we had in NC. It was wayy too hot. [/north]

The worst weather I had was like... a massive rainstorm that blew our backyard patio table upside down. Nothing terribly bad happens where I live, honestly. XD; The winds never get violent, and neither does the rain. I can't really remember if we've had anything worse than what I mentioned.

I've been fortunate enough to have experienced relatively tame weather throughout my life. The worst consequences of weather where I live is simply the inconvenience of not being able to use my computer in a thunderstorm, or getting wet while outside.
