I am incredibly new to the rpgmaker xp program, but I have been fiddling with it for a couple days now.
Whenever I create an event to transfer player it never works in pokemon essentials.
I can get the transporting to work in a regular rpgmaker xp file, but when I use the Pokemon Essentials starter kit it doesn't work.
My 'hero' is invisible on the screen, there is still collision detection, and I can interact with things, it is just that whenever I try and transfer to another place I get the message:

It looks like the system is looking for a nonexistent file called '11'. I think it might be your player character graphic; go to Metadata.txt and make sure that the player graphic entry has the full filename (not including folders; the file must be in Graphics/Characters).

If you are using Pokemon Essential...u are on longer using 'Hero' to insert your character into games. Read notes.html for more information. And follow what Wichu said ^_^

I have a request.
I asked this on my forum but I'm going to ask here. I'm getting desperate. It's not a hard request, it's just really really tedious for me. Keep reading for the quote.

You might want to make a script request in a forum that allows that. It's a bit more complicated than just changing some numbers.

Hey guys, I'm having a very hard time trying to find a revamped Crystal (the girl player from Pokemon Crystal). Could someone point me in the right direction for one or possibly post it here? (If only Marnic made her as well as the revamped Gold, then I wouldn't have to post here).

Avatar made one, IIRC, but you'll need his password to open the .zip file with it. (Actually, I need the password, too...)

Anyway, does anyone happen to have an SFX for a boulder falling through a hole? (And maybe, while I'm at it, the SFX for a rock breaking due to Rock Smash?)

use the low damage one for the rocksmash, it looks good ;p.

Can someone tell me why this event keeps repeating itself? After I finish talking to Professor Elm, the event just repeats itself. Can someone tell me what to do to fix it? Screenshot is in the attachment if it helps.

If you want it to move to the next event page, you should set i to control self switces. That included the conditions on the event page you want it to go to.
Furthermore is the reason why it repeat itself is the Autorun.

Hey is anyone here good at using Rpg Maker XP or knows someone who is good I need help making some stuff a color but at the same time transparent. You mean semi-transparent? And are you talking about tilesets or graphics?

If tilesets, there's an option to select a colour as semi-transparent when you load it. If graphics, I presume just saving the picture in Paint.NET (or whatever graphics program you use that can handle transparency) with semi-transparency will work. I haven't tried it, though.

He was asking me already, he means pictures. In RMXP there should be an option in the show picture command for Opacity- just edit that.
I'm not sure if the starter kit uses pictures for the menu and message box (which is what your looking to add the effect on right?)- so if you guys could fill him in. I'm clueless about RMXP stuff.

yes, but I guess he means to make the background of the picture transparent, all he need to do is to import the picture directly through rmxp resource manager or use paint.net/gimp/photoshop to save the pics with trabsparent bg etc
