This is the team that I love and have stuck with for almost a year, but now I feel it is the time for some team revisions, brought to you by S&M. The main revision I need (and I discussed to a small extent with sims) is the replacement of Vire. As good as he is, I feel I can’t do any damage on the special side of the spectrum after P-Z goes down save for Blissey. So, I need a Pokémon that can serve a similar purpose by absorbing electric attacks but attack hard on the special side. I’m currently thinking SpecsJolt, but I’m not any good ad breeding Hidden Powers so getting Ice or Grass is gonna be a pain. Others on my shortlist include SpecsTile or NP-Chu. Anyway, here’s the team.

Gyarados @ Focus Sash
Adamant Nature
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP

Waterfall
Taunt
Earthquake
Dragon Dance

Physical Sweeper. Set off a DD before beginning to sweep, maybe two depending on the situation. Taunt to prevent psuedo-hazing from Skarmory etc, although I may replace Taunt seen as I very rarely need to use it from recent battles.

Electivire @ Expert Belt
Lonely Nature
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP

Cross Chop
Ice Punch
Thunderpunch
Earthquake

Physical Sweeper. See above, may need replacing.

Porygon-Z @ Choice Scarf
Modest Nature
EVs: 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP

Psychic
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
Dark Pulse

Special Sweeper. It has download, so I’m afraid Psychic goes in over Tri-Attack. It has done well for me, for some reason nobody expects Scarf-Z.

Swampert @ Leftovers
Impish Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Def, 6 Atk

Earthquake
Waterfall
Stealth Rock
Roar

Tank/Bulky Water/Phazer. EQ/Waterfall for STAB moves. You may argue against fully physical Swampy, but again he has worked well for me, although revisions are welcomed.

Forretress @ Leftovers
Relaxed Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 162 Atk, 96 Def

Gyro Ball
Spikes
Rapid Spin
Earthquake

Physical Wall/Spinner. Rapid Spin to get rid of Spikes, and can set up some of her own. Gyro Ball should be pretty powerful, and will prevent her being walled by Gengar. EVs may need work.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Bold Nature
EVs: 252 Def, 252 Sp. Atk, 6 HP

Calm Mind
Ice Beam
Softboiled
Aromatherapy

Special Wall. Unorthodox spread, but has served me well and got me out of some tricky spots.

All advice welcomed. I don't want to change too much since they are all bred and trained and I've become quite used to them.

Even though it has Download, thats no excuse for you to drop its most powerful STAB move, that being Tri attack. Which goes >> Psychic plz.

Be careful of Gengar, Azelf etc. They have the potential to 2hko everything here. So use this bliss to stop them

[email protected]
252 Def / 40 SpA / 216 Sp.D
Bold nature
Trait : Natural Cure
- Ice Beam / Flamethrower
- Aromatherapy
- Thunderwave / Toxic
- Softboiled

Just run that if you cant get S-Toss.

Id maybe consider Rest on forry also.

Now if you run the above Blissey set, you loose to Raikou. What i suggest is that you get a Tyranitar preferably a set w/Taunt to deal with it, which by coincidence stops your team getting walled by Cresselia aswell >> E-Vire IMO.

You also need a Mixape counter, try counter Starmie 40 HP / 252 SP.ATT / 216 SPEED Surf / Ice Beam / Thunderbolt / Recover somewhere here.

Make Gyara bulky so you have a better fighting [email protected] Leftovers, and make Porygon-z your lead.

Focus sash is a big no-no on a Gyarados lead. Quite frankly, I wouldn't lead with Gyarados at all. It is much better once you know what to expect from your opponent's team.

I would replace Focus Sash altogether seeing as Tar and Hippowdon are very common and you never know when you'll be randomly PHazed when SR is up.

Electivire @ Expert Belt
Lonely Nature
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP

Cross Chop
Ice Punch
Thunderpunch
Earthquake

Physical Sweeper. See above, may need replacing.

It does. This just gets walled these days, I'm surprised it hasn't fallen to BL yet. Considering you have Gyarados, I wouldn't use this.

Porygon-Z @ Choice Scarf
Modest Nature
EVs: 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP

Tri Attack
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
Dark Pulse

Special Sweeper. It has download, so I’m afraid Psychic goes in over Tri-Attack. It has done well for me, for some reason nobody expects Scarf-Z.

Psychic is pretty useless with poor coverage and no STAB, while Tri Attack simply makes other pokemon fear you. Also, Scarf Porygon-Z is really badly outclassed by its other two sets.

Swampert @ Leftovers
Impish Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Def, 6 Atk

Earthquake
Waterfall
Stealth Rock
Roar

Tank/Bulky Water/Phazer. EQ/Waterfall for STAB moves. You may argue against fully physical Swampy, but again he has worked well for me, although revisions are welcomed.

It has the same coverage as Gyarados, only it's a more defensive version. the way I see it, you might as well kill two birds with one stone and replace Swampert and make that Gyarados the bulky resttalker.

Forretress @ Leftovers
Relaxed Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 4 Atk / 252 Def

Gyro Ball
Spikes
Rapid Spin
Earthquake

Physical Wall/Spinner. Rapid Spin to get rid of Spikes, and can set up some of her own. Gyro Ball should be pretty powerful, and will prevent her being walled by Gengar. EVs may need work.

forretress suffers from fear of Close Combat just like Skarmory does, and so few Def EVs doesn't help. Consider Rest since it's your only really good physical stopper.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Bold Nature
EVs: 252 Def, 252 Sp. Atk, 6 HP

Calm Mind
Ice Beam
Softboiled
Aromatherapy

Special Wall. Unorthodox spread, but has served me well and got me out of some tricky spots.

I would take out CM really. random bulky waters are just going to wall you cold, and even Skarmory easily PHazes you.

All advice welcomed. I don't want to change too much since they are all bred and trained and I've become quite used to them.
I would definitely get rid of Electivire. That's only taking up a much-needed team slot.

Forretress and Swampert work very well together on the physical side, but neither can recover off any damage and your only fighting resist isn't EVed to be taking any hits whatsoever. I would put Blissey's Aromatherapy to use and get Forretress some healing, perhaps over Spikes or one of your attack moves. Swampert can do with healing most likely.

Cresselia totally walls you, and Porygon-Z risks getting a taste of Thunder Wave as it switches in, which would totally ruin its effectiveness. In general, anything mixed (whether it's a sweeper or a wall) is going to cause you a lot of pain. For Vire's replacement, I would put in something to help mend that problem.

This team really is pretty metagame-weak, so I would get rid of dead weight like Vire first. IMO Swampert/Gyarados on the same team probably isn't really necessary, so consider replacing one of those.
