I have the 8 Johto gym badges and I am currently just training for the Pokemon League. I want all my pokemon to be between 35-40 for now before I get into the league

Dragonair: 32 with/Dragon Fang
-Thunder Wave
-Dragon Rage
-Extremespeed
-Waterfall

Poliwrath: 37
-Strength
-Submission
-Ice Punch
-Surf

Gloom: 35 w/Miracle Seed
-Absorb
-Acid
-Poisonpowder
-Sleep Powder

Noctowl: 36
-Fly
-Hypnosis
-Reflect
-Peck

Typhlosion: 40 w/Charcoal
-Tackle
-Quick Attack
-Thunderpunch
-Flame Wheel

Eevee: 31 w/Pink Bow
-Shadow Ball
-Sand Attack
-Bite
-Quick Attack

I want suggestions on movesets and basically if this team is OK. Dragonair will eventually become Dragonite, I want Eevee to become Umbreon but what's a good moveset for Umbreon? I'll keep Shadow Ball but what else? Gloom well I want to use a Sun stone on it to get a Bellosom. I like Poliwrath so I am content with him because I think I got a good moveset for him. Noctowl is the flyer I usually use for G/S/C series because any other flyers are legendary pokemon and I just don't have access to them. I think he is decent, it has great HP and it's variety of moves although I am looking for some stronger flying attacks help? Thoughts and suggestions please?

Well a few suggestions for you mate.

Dragonair, already is quite the hitter he is definently worth keeping, I think you can realize that. Great job on Poliwrath but keep training him. ;) I'm got a great moveset for Bellossom, good idea w.\ Sunstone as well. Here is a moveset for it though Petal Dance, Solarbeam, Sunny Day, Poisonpowder. I can't remember if I used Petal Dance or if it was Giga Drain, check if Petal Dance is in 2nd.Gen, all I remember is that the Bellossom I had was very good and did great in the Elite Four. You might want to keep acid instead of poisonpowder though. Try pidgeot if you don't like noctowl, although I'd keep noctowl. I'm almost positive he can learn Psychic. A great moveset would be Fly, Psychic, Reflect and Hypnosis/Peck. Typhlosion, not much I can say except drop Tackle, it's horrible, learn flamethrower as well. As for your Eevee/Umbreon matchup I don't know what to do about this one except for drop sand-attack. Good luck mate. Nice work so far, check out my topic on my team, please rate. :)

your team seems okay...... for a beginner
Technically I am not a beginner I been playing pokemon games since 1998-99. So are you saying my team isn't good? Dragonair? Noctowl? Typhlosion? I think my team is decent but what would you suggest? Give me the 6 pokemon you would have in your party

Superiority complex much? Seriously, if you're going to come here trying to act all like a "big wheel" when you can't even use correct English, then don't even waste our time with your stupidity.

Make it to level 50 or 55. It can easily defeat the Elite 4.

Shadow Ball
Toxic
Dark Pulse
Moonlight
Hmm...Good, except this is 2ND GEN. God...

Keep this set except rid Dark Pulse and keep Sand Attack, it'll help with Dragonite Hyper Beams and others.

For Dragonite,
-Safeguard/Thunderbolt
-Outrage/Dragonbreath
-Wing Attack
-Return

You can use Safeguard then Outrage, or take Thunderbolt with Dragonbreath.
Wing Attack and Return because Nite has a higher Atk than SAtk (though her SAtk is not that bad), but I guess Ice Beam might also fit in. Or, you might keep Thunder Wave as Nite does not have the best speed...

For Dragonite:
Curse
Rest
Extremespeed
Wing Attack

This one works well, as Extremespeed works around the speed drops from Curse. Rest for recovery, possibly keep a good supply of Mint Berries to use as held items for one turn recovery.

For Poliwrath:
Surf
Submission/Dynamicpunch
Strength/Body Slam
Ice Punch

The moveset you have is a good one, though the alternate moves I've listed are useful for paralysis and confusion.

Bellossom:
Stun Spore
Sleep Powder
Petal Dance/Giga Drain/Solarbeam
Moonlight

No point in using poisonpowder, put Toxic on Umbreon instead. Giga Drain is good for recovery but Moonlight can take care of that better. Petal Dance hits hard but self-confusion is nasty. Solarbeam only for when you're using Sunny Day on Typhlosion.

Noctowl:
Hypnosis
Reflect
Fly
Dream Eater

Best you can get without breeding for Wing Attack and Faint Attack, which would replace the final two moves. Reflect boost Noctowl's defence and means it can take hits quite well, and Sleep is a vicious status.

Typhlosion:
Fire Blast/Flamethrower
Thunderpunch
Earthquake
Sunny Day

Fairly self-explanatory, Earthquake beats rock types that would normally cause you problems. Sunny Day is a useful powerup for your fire moves, and helps with Bellossom as well.

Umbreon:
Shadow Ball
Moonlight
Toxic
Sand attack

As recommended before, not going to try to take the credit for this set :P

hey

for dragonair i suggest
ice beam
thunderbolt
extremespeed
Outrage(or surf)(agility)
maybe you could think up of better moveset however, you will most probably kill everyone with these(for example thunderbolt for elite 4 #1, icebeam for Lance, but i think you just have to level up. You could even consider teaching fly when it becomes dragonite its not bad (against bruno)
i like ur poliwrath dude. its tight. i dont think i can think of better moveset for it although i recommend bodyslam coz it causes paralysis and maybe earthquake. i also like that you are also evolving gloom into bellosom i always used it more than vileplume it is stronger.
for bellosom i suggest
stun spore
solarbeam
petal dance(you can give sunny day if you want)
TOXIC(or sludgebomb = great poison attack)
BY THE WAY BANTANTIM above, bellosom doesnt learn moonlight in GenII (perhaps you were either thinking of SYNTHESIS?) dunno but it doesnt learn that either.
for noctowl: (i dont think it can learn psychic can it?)
fly
hypnosis
dream eater(or nightmare= reduces enemy's maximum hp by 1/4 however dream eater drains hp)
reflect - needed for defence
if you want another flying pokemon i suggest either pidgeot, togetic, or xatu
typhlosion:
earthquake
flamethrower/fireblast
sunnyday
thunderpunch
for umbreon:
Moonlight
shadowball
psychic
toxic

or:
faint attack(toxic)
sand attack
double team
confuse ray
double team increaesse evasiveness, sand attack reduces oppoenents accuracy, confuse ray can confuse enemy well, enemy wont be able to even touch you. and since umbreon has high defence and a good hp, it can compensate for having not many offensive moves. you dont have to have the movesets in this order, you can learn any moves in any order (IF U WANT)
good job.

You guys made some great suggestions and i'm grateful for it my major problem right now is that my Eevee won't evolve and it's at 43 right now. At this point here is what my pokemon are like now:

Bellossom: Lv. 37 w/Miracle Seed
-Absorb
-Acid
-Poisonpowder
-Sleep Powder

Typhlosion: Lv. 41 w/Charcoal
-Earthquake
-Quick Attack
-Thunderpunch
-Flame Wheel

Dragonair: Lv. 38 w/Dragon Fang
-Thunder Wave
-Dragon Rage
-Extremespeed
-Waterfall

Noctowl: Lv. 37 w/Sharp Beak
-Fly
-Hypnosis
-Reflect
-Peck

Poliwrath: Lv. 38 w/Psncureberry
-Strength
-Submission
-Ice Punch
-Surf

Eevee: Lv. 43 w/Pink Bow
-Shadow Ball
-Take Down
-Bite
-Quick Attack

Eevee is my highest leveled pokemon only because I am soo keen on evolving him into an Umbreon but it just won't evolve. I heal him, level him up, give him items, and give it haircuts. Noctowl will keep his fly, reflect, and hypnosis, I just need another damaging attack so I may go with Confusion. I finally won a Sun Stone so I am happy to have a Bellossom now but I am not too satisfied with her moveset and I can't find sunny day TM or a mega drain TM. Poliwrath the only thing I want to change is Submission with another fighting attack. Typhlosion I am ok with his moveset since he is generally a strong pokemon BUT I do want it to learn Flamethrower so I would be ok and maybe change Quick Attack with a Sunny Day TM IF I ever find one lol. Dragonair is a tough one for me at the moment because it's attack is it's highest stat and I didn't understand that, her Atk is 79, SPD is 77, SP.ATK is 76, SP.DEF is 76, and her defense is only 70.

So overall I have a few adjustments to make and my major problem is Eevee not evolving *sigh*. I amy have to give up on it because after I level up my party a bit more I am on my way for the League

Your team right now is E4 bait. Lance's Dragonites alone will take out about all of your team unless you get lucky. Your Polywrath will get out sped and he will go down, Typholsion can create some havoc but he will eventully drop, and EVERYBODY IS 100% UNDERLEVELED.
But then they would be Lv0?

On my Gold (Which was wiped on 7 badges) I had Typhlosion at Lv57 so I think your team should all be at least 50.

Eevee is my highest leveled pokemon only because I am soo keen on evolving him into an Umbreon but it just won't evolve. I heal him, level him up, give him items, and give it haircuts.

And give him vitamins as well. Preferably Iron or Calcium or HP Up.

I finally won a Sun Stone so I am happy to have a Bellossom now but I am not too satisfied with her moveset and I can't find sunny day TM or a mega drain TM.

Have you solved the chaos at the Goldenrod Tower? If you have, (I think you should have) go to the third floor and get Sunny Day from one of the ladies there. And IIRC there is no TM for Mega Drain, but there is one for Giga Drain. But you can only get that TM after the E4 (Erika in Celadon gives it to you)

Dragonair is a tough one for me at the moment because it's attack is it's highest stat and I didn't understand that, her Atk is 79, SPD is 77, SP.ATK is 76, SP.DEF is 76, and her defense is only 70.

Why? That's how her stats should be. Look at its base stats.
HP 61/Attack 84/Defense 65/Speed 70/Sp Att 70/Sp Def 70
Right now she might not look strong, and plus, she's a dragon, and takes a little bit of time to level up. Just be patient and wait until she becomes a Dragonite.

So overall I have a few adjustments to make and my major problem is Eevee not evolving *sigh*. I amy have to give up on it because after I level up my party a bit more I am on my way for the League
Well that's all. Hope I helped :)

Your team is good but when I was there I had:

Scyther:
Lv: 72

Jollteon:
Lv: 66

charizard:
Lv 68

Arbok:
Lv 85

Pinsir:
Lv 70

Pikachu:
Lv 60
Is Arbok worth using? I never kept a poison type pokemon my team unless of course it's a hybrid of Grass pokemon. Do poison pokemon ever have a good move pool?

Sometimes they do. But IMO the only ones worth keeping are either Muk or Weezing. Muk has good Atk (105), HP(105) and SDef(100). It can go Sludge Bombing quite well. Weezing has slightly lower Atk than Muk(90), but higher SAtk(85) so it can be used as a mixed sweeper. Plus, Weezing has 120 base Def.
