I need some help with reading some Japanese cards, so if anyone is fluent in reading Japanese and translating it accurately into English, please post here. I need some help.

EDIT: AND NEXT TIME TELL ME WHEN YOU FREAKING MOVE THE THREAD! I HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW!

ah, i assume it got moved from japanese entertainment or something then? i was at school, or dead most of today.

Anywho, i can sort of read Japanese. If you post the card or something (readable please XD) i could take a shot at it
From Other Chat, actually. I just wish people would actually tell me what they were doing. I have a right to know, after all. It's my thread, and I paid $25 to you guys, so at the least I should get that much. Yeesh.

Anyway, the Egyptian God Cards are what I need translated, since I need to know their actual effects. The fourth card is "Horakhty, Creator God of Light". Unfortunately, I can't find scans right now, but at least you know what I'm looking for now. Maybe you can find some scans. In the meantime, I'll keep looking.

Yes because donating to the forum means we are here to do whatever you demand. Seriously, get over yourself and stop making senseless demands.

It's not difficult to see the redirect in the Other Chat. Don't expect a PM every time we perform an action. Also, read forum descriptions next time and we won't have to worry about redirects.

Hope this clears up a few things Unlimited nIghts.

What the hell is wrong with you? It's not like I asked you to kick a beehive off a tree. I spent an hour trying to find this thread again once it was moved, so of course I'm pissed.

Now if you're not going to help with the thread's topic, just don't post again. I believe what's what you call "spam". If you have something else to say, PM me so I can delete it without reading.

Honestly, mods have problems with me far too often. I want my $25 back.

Thanks. It's not worth paying for a forum where several of the mods just go around stabbing you in the back. At least not all of them are bad.

Anyway, can we get back on the topic now? I think I found a rough translation, but still no scans.

Lets be honest here, the odds of you getting a refund are slim to nothing.

The moderators do their jobs the best they can, I don't know why it was moved, but if it was moved, it was done for a good reason. Many are experts in their respective areas.

Just because you donated $25 to the forum, does not mean you can "flip out" every time someone does something you do not approve of. Sometimes thats just life.

Very few moderators here are polite to those underneath them. You're one of them, thankfully. I just think that, if a thread is moved, you should at least let the thread's creator know. It's common courtesy.

And if your life was as tough as mine, you'd understand why I "flip out" almost every time. If I had nothing to deal with but this, I wouldn't be nearly so uptight about it.

Do you think my life is all "Tea and Crackers"? If your having problems here, take a break, and come back later.

I'll be honest, I don't even PM people when I move topics. I just do it. I can't really yell at them on that one.

Ok guys, chill out.. its not all that bad. Posts get moved all the time. more so when posted in the wring area. Just deal with it and move on, its not worth getting all worked up about.

If you set a email subscription to the thread, you'll get a email when someone replies making finding the thread (if it happens to get moved) easier.

No, but I doubt your one and only loved one is recovering from breast cancer, that the rest of your family doesn't care about you at all, that what friends you do have are only online, that you're stuck living in a neighborhood where drugs and crime run rampant but there's nothing you can do about it because it's all you could afford, and much more. And if I were to take a break and come back later, I'd never return, which would eventually lead to my suicide. This is the one and only place I once felt like I truly belonged, but of course, certain mods have ruined that. *glares at Blueberry and Amachi*

Oh, so that's what the problem was. I'll have to fix that. Thanks.

Now, can we PLEASE get back on topic? I think I found what I was looking for, but I'm not sure.

Obelisk the Tormentor
Slifer the Sky Dragon
The Winged Dragon of Ra

I hate the name Slifer, but...Well, anyway, the rough translation I got was from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia. I created images of the cards if they were playable using that rough translation. They're attached to this post. I'm not sure if you can read them, though; the text is a bit small. I'll post the text I put on them here if anyone wants me to.

Hehe If i knew they were the god cards you were talkiing about I could have told you their abilities off the top of my head :P
I still need an accurate translation of the Japanese cards. I posted what that rough translation I found said in the form of three cards I made using this.

Oh right I thought you'd managed to find them.
Anyway I've just checked up and found that I hadnt got the full rules, it turns out they are extremely cool. Here's them all (Btw all take a sacrifice of 3 monsters to be summoned):
*Slipher-
Primary effect: Slipher has as an attack and defence stat equal to the amount of the cards in the player's hand.
Secondary Effect: Any monster summoned by the opponent loses 2000 points off of the stat they are summoned in (Eg summoned in attack mode= -2000Atk points). The affected card will be destroyed should their stat be reduced to 0.

*Obelisk-
Primary Effect: Stupidly high stats :P
Secondary Effect: Sacrifice two more monsters. Destroy all of your opponents monsters and inflict 4000 points of damage onto the opponent's life points

*Ra-
Primary Effect: Add together the attack stats of the 3 monster sacrificed. This is Ra's Attack Stat. Add together the defence stats of the 3 monster sacrificed. This is Ra's Defence Stat.
Seconday Effect: Sacrifice 1000 life points to destroy an opponent's monster
Tertiary Effect: Sacrifice any amount of life points to raise Ra's stats by that amount.

So yeah, what absolute beasts ;)

EDIT: I missed a bit off of sliphers'

So basically, he is as he was in the anime, with few changes. 1000 ATK and DEF for each card in your hand, unaffected by all effects while face-up on the field, can only be Special Summoned by Tributing 3 of your monsters (see rulings for cards such as "Soul of Purity and Light"), goes back to the Graveyard if Special Summoned from there, his Shoraidan (Thunder Summon Bomb, his "second mouth attack") only hits ATK, destroys the monster if ATK hits 0 because of it...Yeah. Italicized bits are shared by all three God Cards, apparently.

*Obelisk-
Primary Effect: Stupidly high stats :P
Secondary Effect: Sacrifice two more monsters. Destroy all of your opponents monsters and inflict 4000 points of damage onto the opponent's life points

Plus he can't attack in the same turn he used his effect, I think.

*Ra-
Primary Effect: Add together the attack stats of the 3 monster sacrificed.

Exactly.

Looks like we came up with basically the same stuff. What's your source, though?

I wouldn't count that as a good source. First, it's a merchant site. Second, it doesn't include Ra's Phoenix effect. Third, it doesn't even list their immunity to effects.

This is why I made this thread. I needed someone who can read Japanese to give us the true effects of the God Cards.

Also, on my previous post, when I quoted you, I forgot to mention that each God Card, once while it's on the field, can negate all enemy attacks in your opponent's Battle Phase. At least, they can according to my translation. And I'd trust the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia more than any merchant site.

I simply presumed they didnt need much more uberness than that :P
According to a page on wiki (I'll try and dig it out), the affects of the gods were very exagerated in the tv show, so many of the abilities shown were for TV purposes only. I'll edit this post if i find it.

Well, being Japanese, I can read my own language quite fluently.
However the God cards do not have an official effect. The card text is, after all, a beautiful and finely crafted poem.

All the so-called "official effects" are either just based from the videogames or are fan-made (lol).

[edit + add]
Osiris:
"The thundering skies at the Time of Chaos.
Like a collection of chains, shall magical tomes bind. The strength you gain shall know no bounds."

Obelisk:
"This Being, summoned, shall blow burning winds of destruction upon the Earth.
Then all Living shall become the Unliving."

Ra:
"The fairies sing. A large power, the ruler of all matter.
Its Life, its Soul, even its Corpse."

Darn...Okay, thanks for that. I guess we can close this thread now, huh?
