Well, way back then I was toying with the idea of a deck built to abuse Light-Imprisoning Mirror, but with darks lurking all over the place thanks to Allure (and generally having way more to offer both as splashables and as a dedicated theme), the idea just sort of fell out of my fancy. Now, though...well, between the introduction of Lightsworn and the teching of LaDD into DaD return (not to mention that Prismer/Gladiator Beast combo they're currently hyping at Metagame.com) I thought that the format might actually be ripe for at least experimenting with a deck like this. So basically, the idea is to drop a lot of light attribute beaters that either have effects the mirror can't touch (like Vanity's Ruler or Angel 07) or ones they'd actually enjoy getting rid of (the self-destruct of Gellen Duo and Majestic Mechs bear mentioning here) while using the effects of the tribute monsters in the lineup (yes, tribute, I know it's heresy to mention such things these days =P) to make life a bit more difficult for opposing swarm decks. The idea is still very sketchy, however, as even with the much-needed boost from Light of Destruction, it's hard to make a stable crew of light monsters that don't clash either with each other or with the mirror. Secondly, this deck suffers from a terrible draw problem, making it truly sluggish in comparison to the current top decks. (the dark worlders are a desperate attempt at striking some kind of compromise solution between the two problems by adding more deck cycling with Hand Destruction and scoring the occasional free beatstick from Silva or Goldd; weak, I know, though technically a hand of three + beckoning can get three beatstick out ASAP by pulling up Guardian, Cyber Dragon, and Ohka)

So yeah, any ideas for making this crazy idea at least semi-feasible? It's purely theoretical speculation, by the way, so any legal cards will do just fine. Rate away, please. :3

I should note that "Hand Destruction" doesn't work with "Dark World" monsters that Special Summon themselves from the Graveyard when discarded by an effect. "Hand Destruction" says to "send 2 cards from each player's hand to the Graveyard, then both players draw 2 cards".

I'll post other fixes later.

I'll post other fixes later.
Actually, the only ruling on the subject that I've found found states the opposite; "discard 2 cards from your hand" is treated as part of Hand Destruction's effect; not an activation cost (same as with Card Destruction and Graceful Charity), therefore Dark World is compatible with the card. =P

Here is a scan of the English card. It doesn't say to discard, it says to send to the Graveyard. Therefore, it doesn't work with "Dark World" monsters. Also, from the official Yu-Gi-Oh! website...

These effects only activate if the cards are discarded by a card effect. They will not activate if discarded for the cost of a card like “Lightning Vortex”, “Raigeki Break”, “Tribe-Infecting Virus”, or “Infernal Incinerator”. They will not activate if sent to the graveyard by a card effect like “Last Turn” or “Chaos Emperor Dragon – Envoy of the End”.
It's under "Dark World" monsters. Since "Hand Destruction" says nothing about discarding, it can't work with "Dark World" monsters.

Ah well, the dark worlders were a toss-up anyway, so odds are that they'll end up tossed for something more beneficial. As an interim thing:

-2 Hand Destruction
+2 Dark World Dealings

"Dark World Dealings" is far too situational in this Deck, since you only have 3 "Dark World" monsters. Also, "Angel 07" will stop your "Dark World" monsters' effects from activating if you Tribute Summon her, so there's a bit of a conflict there. "Beckoning Light" appears to work with them, though, but it's still a bit situational.

I think you should try some other form of draw power, such as "Pot of Avarice", and drop the "Dark World" monsters completely. You may want to try "Treeborn Frog", in case you don't have your "Angel 07" or "Light-Imprisoning Mirror" for your "Majestic Mech" monsters.

And this is precisely why I want people to comment on these things. I knew there was still a clash of effects in there somewhere but I just couldn't put my finger on where. xD

Anyways, yeah, I hear ya' about the dark worlders. Like I said: they're a wild shot and were more of a remnant from the point where I was toying with using Invincil in this deck. Treeborn...well, even though it sort of goes against my aim of wanting to keep a continuous trap on the field, I do get it. Fine, why not; it's a pinch Goryu and another way to get penaltiless Ohka. As for Avarice...I considered that route, but then that's kind of slow since I don't really have any monster dumping effects and it clashes with Beckoning too. Yeah, going to have to think over what I do with that one. :\ In the mean time, though, I think I'm adding Morphing Jar in there. I know it clashes with Angel 07, but it's a potential five cards from my deck, so the small clash of interest doesn't weigh that much in the balance.

Oh, yeah. I forgot about "Treeborn Frog" requiring you not to have any Spell or Trap Cards.

"Marshmallon" won't be dealing 1000 damage if you have "Angel 07", but I doubt you're concerned about that. "Angel 07" and "Spirit Reaper" together is interesting, though. He won't self-destruct, but he also won't force a discard if he attacks directly.

But still, you won't always have Spells, Traps, and/or "Angel 07" on the field.

I'm still kinda lost on how this works... isn't it just a regular fairy deck now. I have all the cards but Guardian of the Order, and let's just say that I was being boring using Nova Summoner/Shining Angel... I am not even against RFG deck or anything, and I don't have a single chance to get out Angel 07 without reborn on gellenduo to get the tribute >_<

It's very, very slow... even against AI. You know it's slow if it can't outrun AI. Just not enough special summoning to make tribute fodders compare to how fast they die.
