Would you be willing to pay $4 per gallon if this process was used?

Um, it doesn't matter at all if it can be recycled if nobody can afford it to begin with. o_O; I'm sure if people were able to pay $4 per gallon now, they would, but a very large amount of the population in the United States can't do even that. Regardless of environmental concerns, most people can't pay that much for gas even if they wanted to.

This is especially true of people who have long commutes to work and so forth. Doesn't matter if they're making it to work if they have to pay so much for gas that their mortgage doesn't get paid in the process. o_<

(Whoo, five days late to the thread. \o/ I should've paid attention last time. XD)
It seams that you are forgetting that eventually the price of technology goes down.

I wouldn't, it's a stupid idea to begin with, rather than trying to get more money for the oil companies we should focus on developing fuels which don't rapidly destroy the planet, like the hydrogen powered car, that is the future, gasoline is finally on its way out....

I think converting the CO2 from the cars is a good idea, but tit should also be aided by other things. Scientists have found a way to *I'm not making this up* convert scat from things like pigs, elephants, and rhinos, into gasoline. Hooray for Zoos!
