What, I couldn't think of a more interesting title =X

Okay, posting this because everyone on PC knows this team (>>; ) and I got a better new team anyways.

I have two logs of me using this team if you're interested, in the Battle Logs section.

Anyway, Rate My Team!

Team at a glance:

5/6ths of my team is blue, but I'm not making a blue theme team =$

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/36 Spd/220 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Roost
- Sleep Talk

Zapdos is my special tank and sleep absorber, and helps to counter several special threats namely Gengar and Yanmega which are commonly ran as leads.

Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP/216 Def/52 SAtk
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Hydro Pump
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Beam

Standard Mixpert. Swampert is one of my physical tanks and does a decent job at countering Metagross and Tyranitar, providing some support for other threats in a pinch.

Vaporeon (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 188 HP/252 Def/68 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Wish
- Roar

Vaporeon serves as my Gyarados/Mixape counter and Wishpasser, in addition to providing PHazing support. Wish helps keep the rest of my team healthy, most importantly providing Metagross and Swampert recovery.

Metagross @ Choice Band
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP/236 Atk/12 Def/8 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Explosion
- Bullet Punch

CBMetagross straight from the analysis. First three moves are standard, Bullet Punch is for dealing with Subseeders and helping to revenge-kill in a pinch.
Metagross has great typing and defenses so I utilise it as a bulky sweeper and keep it healthy with Wish support. Its Steel type allows it to take Draco Meteors/Outrages, although it is not a reliable Sala/Chomp counter.

Salamence (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 220 HP/18 Atk/196 Def/76 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Roost
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake

BulkyDDRoost Salamence. Salamence covers Fighters like Heracross and Lucario due to its Fighting resistance, and can help sweep in a pinch with Dragon Dance.
EVs are to outspeed and KO Lucario and Heracross (Hera is only OHKOed after 1 DD).

On an unrelated note, I love how other players send their Ice Fang Gliscor/Hippowdon to combat Salamence, as Salamence walls them with Roost, but most of the time I would be frozen before I got to three Dragon Dances =X

Heracross (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Guts
EVs: 40 HP/252 Atk/216 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Megahorn
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit

Choice Scarf Heracross. 216 Speed outspeeds base 130s, Heracross packs a punch with dual 120 BP STAB moves and great Attack. Pursuit is for revenge-killing utility.

I posted this on Smogon previously, here is the (single) rate I had:

I really recommend you try something like a CM Jirachi over Metagross, since CM Jirachi can evolve into a serious threat, especially since it can even beat Blissey and friends, and a nice paralysis with Thunderbolt is quite nice too. It seems to do everything Metagross does, except hit from the special spectrum (and Heracross generally hits harder than Metagross mostly because Meteor Mash is resisted by a ton of things nowadays...) instead. It also takes Outrages, and Draco Meteors if needed and such :D
Rate/fix/nitpick away!

Ya know, if you DO use that Jirachi, you could use Starmie >> Vappy here, it does the same thing, ala counter ape and Gyarados, and it also has the additional luxory of spinning, Zappy and Mence are a vital part of your team defense and switching in on SR ISNT going to help. Jirachi provides the Wish support Vappy does. Although then you will lack a PHazer, in which i have seen some players actually forgo Hydro pump on Mixpert and use Roar/SR/Ice Beam/EQ.

Something to consider, and as you said yourself, in the log "Hera cant keep coming in due to the residual damage", same with Mence and Zappy "Now that Zong has set up SR it has limited mences and Zappys switching in ability".

Although, i know Roost is instant, and can get chosen by Sleep Talk, Rest will help more imo, especially against status that isnt sleep, aka , unpredicted Toxic from some random garbage. Especially when/if Hera is gone. You can then pressure stall =D

Discharge >> T-Bolt on Zappy could help you with team support here and help you wear down stuff, as your teams, like mine, are bulky and slow.

If anyone says starmie dies to pursuit, i will shoot you >_>

meh, I don't like thinking of starmie as a Gyara counter nowdays, as many people are wising up to it and running sets that can take them down. (aka. WacanBiteDos)

Looks solid other than the blue theme. O_O

Pardon me, I am rushing to lunch, but aren't you missing a real dedicated sp.attacker? Thiskinda looks easy to wall. Most importantly, stall.

Oft note, NP Raicu sweeps this team.

Just kidding. Or am I?

Swampert, Vaporeon and Zapdos all beat the common physical walls, in Zapdos' case it can't beat Hippo however. Swampert and Vaporeon 2HKO Hippo, Skarm, Gliscor, Forretress with their respective Water moves, and Zapdos puts a nice dent into Hippo, 2HKOes Forry and OHKOs Skarm and Gliscor. Opposing Swamperts can be worn down easily as they lack recovery, RestTalk versions either lack an Ice move, Waterfall or Earthquake which makes them prone to walling from Zapdos (no Ice move, or Ice Beam and no EQ), Vaporeon (beats every version one-on-one) and Swampert.

Cress = setup bait by the way. My whole team sans Salamence can switchin and threaten it.

NP Raichu gets countered by Zapdos, and Salamence outspeeds and KOs (I think).

Yeah, it was a joke, since you'll nevar see one. I don't shoddy.

But just to say, that Mence ain't outspeeding Chu, and phails to HP ICE. And if Chu has gotten in an NP...

But yeah, it was a joke rate, enough of that.

This still looks easily stallable. Toxic's a b. Of course, not countig that God awful move toxic Spikes.

You seem to lack a way to deal with the Hard-hitting Dragons. (Mence & Chomp). Specsmence's DM does about 80% to Zapdos (you really want to avoid SR) and Fire Blast OHKOs Gross. You get similar results with Chomp's Outrage.
