No, Starmie already takes care of the physical walls that would then "wall" his team, as well as spinning away Spikes and Stealth Rock that Skarmory and friends set up. The only thing Gengar does for this team is provides a death fodder and hit Dusknoir for supereffective damage. As for mixed sweepers, I never run them and I've had plenty of success. No mixed sweeper doesn't mean you're easily walled (not to say that's what you were implying).
As for the team, oh man does Tyranitar tear you apart. Breloom isn't the greatest Tyranitar counter, but I suggest using it and putting in Mach Punch, or DDing versions are going to sweep you and CB versions are going to massively dent your team.
This team is also weak to Gengar, Mismagius, Azelf, and (I've always wanted to say this) Alakazam. Snorlax can't really hurt Azelf, so it can set up and do a number on you. By that I mean sweep your entire team. Choice Specs Alakazam has the power to blow past most of your team with a boosted Psychic (basically everything except Snorlax and maybe Starmie, who are drilled by its other moves while they fail to KO it). Gengar basically can 6-0 you unlesas your Gengar wins the speed tie, and I think we all agree that it is not a good way to try to deal with the most used special sweeper in the game. Mismagius has more trouble totally sweeping you with Gengar around, but you're playing with fire.
Spiritomb is an all-in-one solution to this problem, so I would use it >>> Gengar. Your team has A LOT more stability defensively.
BTW Snorlax has too many EVs by about 30. You might wanna check that out.
